I am astounded at how bad the customer service is. Here is an example. I found out on December 9 that our new system wasn't generating electricity and hadn't been for over a month. It took over a month and 6 phone calls from me to them to get it fixed. In that time, they promised me 6 call backs and made only 2. They promised to have people come to the house 5 times and only did it twice. And why weren't they fulfilling their legal obligations under the lease and monitoring the system? Why did it take *me* checking on the system to notice that it was down? There have been a number of other problems, both before and after going live, and the system has only been on-line for less than 4 months. I'm currently trying to get them to take a look at their web site, which stopped working a week and a half ago. 3 calls to customer care and multiple email messages to help@vivintsolar.com have produced nothing useful. I have no idea when/if it will get resolved. On the plus side, the system is now working, which is over 95% of why I'm their customer. But their customer service is as bad as I've ever seen in my 60+ years. Painfully bad.

We have been with Vivint 3 years. They are an acceptable company, but certainly not outstanding. We were misinformed @ the cost of permanent roof removal and also the time it takes to get the system up and running. Their customer service is frustrating, long wait times to talk to a rep., and we end up communicating by e-mail. It takes at least a day to receive a reply e-mail from Vivant, and every time we reply to them that's an additional day's time. We're trying to have our roofer communicate with Vivint and there is no direct # or specified person to call, access is only through the 877 #. Also, we're saving little money with solar and, looking back, it hasn't been worth the effort for us.

Only had the sales guy come to our door. Me and a neighbor played with him a bit just because he is sales. I actually was the nicer of us two. But the sales guy tried to tell us that the way it works is they take the average of my elec bill today and that will be what i pay from now on to Dominion and any power put back into the grid will allow me to get paid by Dominion. Therefore i only really pay my whole bill about 6 months out of the year while i have the AC on ant the other months i pay my average but also get a check back of about $30 plus per month. He also said they do not charge anything to install or for the materials. All of this is because the government (sometimes state and sometimes federal) requires Dominion to be 15% renewable and this is how they want to do it. All expenses paid by Dominion. My neighbor friend has a unique way of irritating sales people so before they got into it physically (neighbor is 75 at least) the sales guy said he was not going to stay any longer. And that's the interaction.

The salesman was great. Every time I call him he either is able to answer my question, or has someone call me with an explanation. My Solar panels were installed last November, 2017. They still have not been hooked up, so they are not in use. The salesman does not have an answer to this problem. He had a Supervisor call me and he was just full of bull (lots of talk, no answers). All I got from the Supervisor was that a lot of problems are caused by Nevada Power, and Vivint Solar has no way of getting them to complete the project. From the reviews of others it seems customers from Eastern states are much happier with Vivint Solar that are customers from Western states

I signed up with Vivint 3 years ago, I had no issues with getting it installed and up and running in a timely manner. My only complaint is the monitoring system on their website, it totally sucks. The information about your system only gives a monthly, last 7 day's and total production since system has been in up and running. I would like to see a daily production count. Every time I call them about an issue about the website, I get "well we are still working on it", well if I was paying someone to develop my website and it took this this long, they would be fired. On the upside, I am not giving my money to PG&E.

Tentative on the installation. It took three tries and over a month of waiting. One crew came and told me they had to install it one way with cables running all over the rooftop. The next crew came and told me they could install it with the cables in the attic, but the inverter would be over on the side of the house about 20 feet away from the panel. It ended up being installed the way I wanted, but it was a winding path getting there. Cudos to the crew that finally got it done! Let’s hope there aren’t any glitches in finally getting it permitted and turned on!

My Rep., Matt B., was great with communication. Paperwork took extremely long to get done prior to signing docs. Repeated doc. signing of same information was a little annoying. Roofing took twice as long as it should have, stopped work due to crew not having updated work order and not installing something we are paying extra for. Solar install went very smooth. A+ for solar install crew!

I wish to bring attention to one of your concierge, Caitlyn A. She is the BEST at her job, and believe me I have talked to a lot of your concierges. We had a bit of trouble getting our solar up and running, and she helped me the most. I think the problem with Vivint Solar is they have too many customers and not enough people to work and do a good job. They are subcontracting the work and not checking on it before the final turn on.

Solar panels installed in April 2018, took 5 months to connect. Vivint rep. came by last week to check system and told me only 1 panel working out of 38. Been trying to reach Vivint for about a week , no luck just long waits on the phone. Customer service is horrible when you need them. Maybe this will get your attention. Cannot afford to pay for services not rendered by Vivint

Knowledgible, honest, and enthusiastic salesman who believed in the product. Saved some money but not as much as I hoped. But the panels were not maximized. No problems with service. Only negative has been with the local utility company. Delays from the get go. They also credited my account at the off peak rate for the electricity generated by the solar panels. Too bad Arizona is so hostile to solar energy, a state with 360 days of sunny days.

Emily Hatton jumped in to take over my account when previous "success" managers totally ignored all my calls & emails, like Jamison Tarrant. Once she did, things went much smoother her and I was kept abreast of everything. If I was raring Derek and Emily alone, this would be an 11.

After working with the sales consultant Adam Barras, who was very helpful and was there every step of the way contacting people when things weren't done when they should have been or when people never showed up for the electrical inspection and lied and said they did, we were finally up and running in 6 months. He treated us amazing and was very patient with our questions and concerns. The process was truly a nightmare and I think more people need to be hired so that the job runs smoothly. Our family is now saving almost 50% of our electric bill which we couldn't be happier about.

Vivint has given me a way to afford solar without paying upfront or taking out a loan. My electric bill is pretty low now, just depends on how much the power goes over or under my electric usage. My whole bill is lower however than if I was to have all electric. I do think they could have added more panels to keep my bill down even further, but there was never much clarity on that.

The installation crew was efficient and polite. My current agent is responsive. I am frustrated that my records on paper and what the app thinks I owe is different, has been and seems to take Herculean effect to resolve. I am also sad that since my parents representative moved, they will not get credit for referring me.

We have had Vivint Solar for several tears on the PPA plan and we decided to buy our 22 panels so there would not be a problem when we sold the house. They quoted me a price of $36,000 to buy it now, but said it would only $20,000 if we sold the house. I would have paid the $20,000 now but not the $36000.

we had vinyl siding put 7/17/17 so vivint had to disconnect meters , I'VE had 3 -4 attempts to reconnect ,but they keep cancelling saying they're short manpower to this type of reconnect, not happy about whatsoever, here it is 10/26/*17 still not connected

We started our journey with solar in mid-May. The initial activities, to include installation, went relatively well. However, it is now the end of August and our solar is still not up and running. I would just like to get off of PG&E. Our bill for July was over $800. and for August is over $900.

Takes forever!!! This project was started in Feb. and I am still not up and running. Panels have been installed and I am now waiting for National Grid to install their meter and then the town must inspect the finished project, I do realize this is not Vivint's responsibility

Went on line 2 days ago so too soon to tell, although I am pleased with the installation quality. I can say from start to finish it took about 10 months so if you go Vivint be prepared to wait it out.

They seem like a decent company. Only issue I had was the fact that that the amount my house needs to produce to have a zero bill seems high. They are making money of the sale of the power I generate and I am not seeing benefits on my bill for it, well I am seeing benefits but just not what I think is a fair number...
