Tephra was on top of it. Everything was completed in a timely fashion. Even after the service when I had to reach out to Tephra it was not an issue.

Honestly, we hit some rocky patches, but Johnny, our salesman, was a consummate professional and Tephra worked diligently to remedy the situation. As a result, we ended up with a solution that worked for everyone involved. They were also willing to work with us to get the solar panels we wanted, and install the microinverters that we wanted, after months of research determined our direction. Solid experience overall, and couldn’t recommend their business more.

I loved the salesman’s method of explaining everything in detail without too much confusion. Booker was extremely honest and made sure I understood everything. I’m a math person, so he explained how solar power works, he asked to see my utility bills from previous months to determine how many panels I should have to maximize the energy. He also visited and followed up so I wouldn’t be like some salesman of find them, sign them, then abandon them. If it weren’t for Booker, I might have still signed up, I’m sure the company invests in the best sales teams to actually explain solar power with Tephra vs other companies, rather than be heavy handed on rushing to sign. His quality time spend with me is not forgotten. I’d highly recommend Tephra Solar , they won’t oversell their product. He actually talked me out of battery backup in my case. Not every customer can have a Booker, but you should do your homework and check them out like I did before signing.

We contacted Tephra Solar after our neighbor recommended them. We were so happy with their process from beginning to end. From our initial conversation it was clear that Landon was a straight up guy who wasn't trying to sell us add-ons that we didn't need. The team took care of all the logistics and approvals we needed and they work with Dividend for the financing so we didn't have to pay out of pocket up front which was a major concern for us. The project manager kept us updated weekly and once everything could be installed, the work was finished efficiently. Overall we had a great experience with Tephra and would recommend them to anyone seeking a fantastic solar company!

Ever since I met with David the Tephra Solar Consultant I knew I would hire Tephra Solar to install our solar panels here in Nevada. We have always had Solar Panels on our homes, we have lives in Maryland, Virginia and now Nevada. It saves you a lot on your electric bills and we now pay close to $0.43 cents after Service Charges are removed. With MVE service charges it's about $ $20 a month in Summer months and even less in the Winter because here in NV Winter heat is run by SWG. But it still is a savings for us with the Solar Panels. David was informative and knowledgeable and it was with his presentation and knowledge that we decided to go with Tephra Solar. It was a good decision.

Our salesman Mac was awesome and so knowledgeable. He walked me through every step of the process. He thoroughly explained the answers to all of my questions. The Tephra install team were quick, efficient and professional. Ashley was quick to respond to emails and keeping me posted on the install steps.I am a 100 % satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend Tephra to anyone looking for superior service and high quality product.

Tephra has been great to work with. Spencer and company were transparent and dedicated to helping me determine the best design to meet my energy needs and my budget. The installation was relatively quick and efficient and I've been very pleased with the immediate impact the system has had. They have also been very good about follow up to make sure everything is working satisfactorily and quick to answer any questions I've had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I'm fact, I will likely expand my system in the future and I have no worries about calling them to do so.

Alex is awesome. He explained the process completely and helped me every step of the way on my solar panels! The process is very safe and simple and each step was inspected by a follow up inspection! Not hard to set the process up on my phone to manage the heat/cool temp etc... IF I did have a problem I would call Alex and he would definitely get the right man for the job to help! I am Very confident in his work and follow up!

Excellent customer service and great communication and information provided throughout the whole process. I was briefed on every update during the whole process. Every person that contacted me was kind and explained and informed me what the next step of the process would be. Installers were quick and did not impede any of our activities at home. I will definitely recommend and refer anyone interested in the future.

Every meeting from the appointment setters to the closer and the installation was professional and the employees at Tephra Solar were extremely professional and knowledgeable of their product. They lived up to their promise and I’ve had 100% production to my energy usage which is what I was really worried about.

Great company to work with, they took their time and made sure that solar was going to work for me and actually help me out in the long run. Didn’t try to push their product. The entire project went smoothly and I would recommend them to anyone considering adding solar to their property.

All the guys were great and the company saved us so far lots of money in our electric bill…. I can’t believe how much we have saved…and if there is a problem they come right away to Check and make sure all is well… thank you very much Synergy/Tephra Solar company…

So far I have been happy with Tephra Solar installation. It had been delay for two months prior the solar power kick in but I have received as expected. The salesman was kind and helpful with my questions

Sales - 2 stars Project Management - 2 stars Installation team - 5 stars I am extremely frustrated with my experience with tephra solar and would have a hard time recommending them to anyone. I met with Tephra’s sales representative on Oct 28th 2023. I signed the contract to move forward on Nov 1, 2023. Tephra completed the design of the plans on Feb 6th, 2024 and completed the install on Mar 6, 2024. The city of Henderson was scheduled for their inspection on Mar 19, 2024. I was informed on Mar 28, 2024 that the city was waiting on tephra to place an additional placard and that it has been ordered. I have received no update to my question on whether this will delay the inspection from NV energy, which I was initially quoted around 2 weeks for them to come out and inspect before the solar system can be turned on. 5 months in from signing the contract, I still do not have usable solar. I initially chose to go with tephra for 3 reasons: Price My house would not be tephra’s first for the neighborhood. They were supposedly doing their first install in our neighborhood a week after I met with the sales representative on Oct 28, 2023. My wife and I did not want to be the test house for the neighborhood They would deal with the HOA approvals. Around January 22nd 2024, I found out that they had not installed in my neighborhood before (probably why it took so long for the designs to be completed) and on the day before the install I had found out that they had also not gotten the appropriate approvals from the HOA. I ended up having to do most of the approval work after the sales representative learned that he wasn’t actually able to get the approvals on my behalf. To his credit, he did come out and try to get the neighbor sign off part of the process done and had been actively communicating with the HOA when he figured out he hadn’t completed the approval process. I still had to get 3 out of the 4 neighbors myself and submit for the approval. The sales representative did take all the blame for dropping the ball on the HOA approval. I also later found out that the solar install did not come with critter guard unless it was listed in the contract. Critter guard was pitched to me as a standard offering in addition to the 25 year panel and roof warranty. I have all this information in the notes I took from the initial discussion on Oct 28th, 2023 so I could discuss with my wife. The project manager communicated often. Usually that there was no update, other than that Tephra was trying to figure out the best design for my home. I believe the project manager should have had a better handle on verifying the approvals were completed (specifically the HOA). I am especially annoyed because of the lack of response to my questions about the status of the HOA approvals leading up to the installation date. After my second follow up, I was told it was done and we were good, until I asked for evidence of the approval. I also have not received a response to my question on if the issue with the city inspection will delay NV energy’s inspection. At 5 months into this process, I am losing my patience and that has prompted me to write this review before having working solar. The installation crew great. They were friendly, answered all of my questions, and worked quickly. Best part of the company. I don’t believe the miscommunications with the sales rep or the frustrations I am having are indicative of the practices of a bad company. I definitely don’t feel that Tephra is putting their best foot forward to make it right and improve my experience. I hope that his review will force the company to be better in the future and warn anyone that may be considering tephra that they will need to make sure to manage them carefully.

Over all I like my solar panels. I was hoping they would completely eliminate my electric bill, however I'm still paying 20 a month. So if there are power outages I still have no electricity.

Really easy installation and I saw savings on my electric bill ! When my panels weren't working correctly, they immediately sent a representative to come fix it

I liked the whole experience. It went smoothly for the most part from Start to finish. Everybody that worked on my installation was pretty friendly and communicative.

Tephra did an amazing job in communicating and help explain the whole process from contract to turning the system on for the first time

**AVOID THIS COMPANY** It all started out good or so I thought... First off they will gouge you if you finance, they won't even offer the cash price (30% lower, sounds fraudulent right? 30% tax "credit"....) You'll have to start out by doing their job with the city/county/hoa for appovals and permits. Then comes the install that may or may not happen, and if it does happen the day you schedule. They won't finish... They'll also 100% leave nasty goop and garbage for your kids and dogs to attempt to eat. Almost guaranteed they'll fail the first inspection because they half ass all their work. Then again, they'll have to *maybe* schedule the inspection weeks after install. They'll lie to the finance company that the work is completed and your loan will start before completion. The CEO Jared is a joke, ask the employees, it'll entertain you. Odd that he's the only reason why some solar review websites rate this company fair, supposedly he has ceo "experience". The PM's were probably found after staying the night at a holiday inn express (find the commercials to understand). Just do yourselves a favor and stay away from this company. Unless of course you like paying someone else to do some work that you'll have to do yourself anyway.

All the people we dealt with where real nice,and the work got done right on schedule which made it real nice.

Hidden costs...NO Up front information.. YES Polite and professional... YES Probably won the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. If you were thinking about solar.. GO WITH TEPHRA

It was fairly painless experience as tephra kept me informed every step of the way. It could have been completed sooner if it wasn't for my city delaying the permit process. Thank you tephra

Tephra is the last company I would refer my business to. They don’t address problems and continue to try to nickel and dime you for a problem they created. Poor, poor, poor customer service!

The customer service communication with them overall is horrible. I am not saving anything, if anything I'm paying double on electricity. I still have a large utility bill on top of paying for the solar panels. They are a huge scam wish I had never gotten them.

I want to start off by saying to ALWAYS read the contract and don't take your salesman's word for anything! They will do anything to get a sale! They told me that I would DEFINITELY be saving money every month with solar and I now have a solar payment AND STILL have over half my power bill, as well, which combined is double what my power bill was before! They also told me that solar definitely adds value to your home! It doesn't, at least in Utah it doesn't. I just sold my home and my realtor said solar adds no value to a home and it also cost us a LOT of offers! Only got one offer for 30K less than what we were asking, which royally screwed me and my family financially! Without the solar, we would have had at least 10 offers, based on what my realtor told me from everyone that checked our place out. They were all deterred by the solar payment they would have had to take on. Without the solar, we could have had a bidding war and potentially made 10-20K more than asking. So all in all, the salesman that lied to me cost me 40-50K when selling my house, all so he could make a thousand dollars of commission from selling me on solar. DO NOT BUY FROM TEPHRA SOLAR!! Biggest mistake of my life!

True to their words they have installed solar panels to my home in May 24, 2022. But are they producing power no their current state. According to Tephra Project management website my project is only 87% complete. Im waiting on an inspection from Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. https://app.portalcx.io/portal/2d8894a0-bdab-4abd-8e8a-1fe20fd41138. At first when I reach out Tephra Project Management team they informed me of plan changes and that it would have to be resubmitted. I was told wait 2 weeks. Then they just stop picking up the phone after I've waited and called back. Ive texted the persons provided the updates and no answer. Ive called Colorado Springs Utilities to what was holding up was CSU stated that a inspection is required. Was able to access my Pikes Peak Regional Building Department plans/permits online and show no movement from May 12, 2022. Now I'm stuck with paying for solar panels and a electric bill.

Finished sale in March 2022. It's now September 2022, NO SERVICE, paid the loan company 4 consecutive payments and still paying $350 or more in electric bills. Lost a whole sunny summer of credits here in Nevada. Our electric bill has actually increased. Wondering how I made this mistake. Efforts to reach Tephra have fallen on deaf ears. No answers or returned calls from the company. I may need to contact a lawyer. Save yourself the time and aggravation and do not use this company!

Have waited MONTHS to complete my installation. Communication from their Project Manager has been frustrating at best, wasting a LOT of my time on missed appointments, failed inspections, and weak excuses. Cannot recommend.
