Suntria was founded over 15 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona. A family of electrical contractors started the company. As the solar industry grew, the company decided to join the solar train.

As a full-service solar company, Suntria prides itself on helping its customers from start to finish. The company has gone to great lengths to keep up with the industry’s ever-changing technology but never loses sight of its original values of stability and integrity.

Our research of Suntria has proven they take tremendous pride in the trustworthiness and reputation within their community and their service areas.

One important note that we need to express for research and education efforts: Suntria had a reputable Google My Business page which is temporarily down while they are troubleshooting their online presence on that particular platform. Their recent strong growth has increased their service area. Now Suntria is working to update their locations to better inform the public.

The Good

  • U.S.-Made Panels
  • Financing Opportunities
  • NABCEP Certified
  • Positive Suntria Reviews

U.S.-Made Panels

Suntria guarantees its clients award-winning solar panels made here in the United States. Suntria installs Silfab panels, known for their intelligent technology, innovative designs, and reliability.

Additionally, Suntria sources its micro inverters (the component responsible for converting the energy gathered by solar panels into usable electricity for your home) from Enphase, a world leader in solar inverter technology. Suntria also allows customers the opportunity to upgrade their solar energy systems by adding a solar back up battery.

Solar production, labor, and key system components are all covered by Suntria's industry-leading 30-year comprenhensive warranty, which also covers customers in the event of an installation-related roof penetration or leak.

Financing Opportunities

The company gives you plenty of options when paying for a solar system with Suntria. Clients can pay upfront with cash or by card. Or they can finance their system and possibly get interest-free, deferred payments for 24 months. They can also lease their system with rates as low as 2.99 percent.

It’s nice to see a solar company offering consumers a variety of ways to pay for a system. Everyone has a different financial situation, but that shouldn’t stop you from being able to afford renewable energy.

NABCEP Certified

The NABCEP certification shows that Suntria goes above and beyond for its clients. Those with the certificate are well-versed in everything solar and have proven capable of meeting the rigorous demands of renewable energy. The certification is not required of solar companies, but it indicates that the company truly cares about doing a good job for customers.

Positive Suntria Reviews

Suntria has earned a number of positive verified reviews on Best Company. As of August 2023, more than 90 percent of Suntria Reviews posted to our site rank the company five out of five stars. Customers credit Suntria's expert team of service representatives and consultants as being professional, informative, and overall helpful at explaining the process of going solar, what their options are, and the associated costs and benefits.

Customers also identify Suntria's technicians as proficient installers; they build systems that deliver on the estimates made during the initial consultation.

The Bad

  • Does Not Provide Exact Service Areas

Does Not Provide Exact Service Areas

Suntria offers its services in 10 states — Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Texas, and Utah. And while the website gives a general location (area or city), it is not entirely clear where the line is drawn.

For example, Suntria operates in Florida. The website further clarifies that it operates in Orlando, Florida. That said, we can’t know if the company is willing to offer its services in neighboring cities.

While this may not seem like a big deal, it can be highly frustrating for consumers to start filling out applications for quotes only to learn that their home isn’t within the service area. We recommend contacting the company first to determine if your home is a part of the company’s service area.

The Bottom Line

Suntria has always promised to provide consumers with quality service and products and we expect homeowners to have a positive experience when working with this company. The company is upfront about what products it uses, its warranty information, and it even has gone to the effort of getting additional certifications.

Plus, it offers several different financing options for consumers so that there is something for everyone, no matter the situation. It would be nice if Suntria could provide more detailed information on the service area in each state, but that can be easily remedied by calling and asking.

Suntria caught my attention because of how many years they have been doing solar panels. Xander never tried to sale me anything. He just took the time to answer my questions. After installation, we were told by the power company that Suntria did the best installation they had ever seen. Everyone on the Team from start to finish was so nice and helpful. Xander was incredibly professional and so very kind. He was very knowledgeable and had an answer for all my questions. He is truly what sold me on going forward with Suntria.

I used a PPA program with Suntria and Palmetto, 10/10 great option for homes in Oregon, I don’t like the power company increases, and this was a no brainer, install was fast and seamless here in oregon, great work.

I used Suntria to go with a Ppa in central oregon, I was unsure at first because it seems like there is just a couple reviews not great, but not too many, overall I felt it was a good thing and I’m happy with the decision, Trey was a great representative and is super responsive. Highly recommend

Great service! Trevor answered our questions and has kept working with us even afer installation. Alberto and his install team went above and beyond with our installation. There were some bumps in the road outside of their control and they stayed with us every step of the way! They even bought us pizza which was a win especially for my kids! Trevor sent us some fancy cookies later after the installation and another win!
