Very much appreciated South Coast Solar putting in a complete system of 52 panels and 3 back-up batteries in our garage, the two different days the technical/installation team were here we found them to be hardworking, conscientious, and courteous. The "star" however, has been Rebekah O, Sales Consultant. Wow, her competence in the beginning won the job for South Coast Solar -- from two other possible companies -- and she has since provided literally hours of quick-response contact with us, email and telephone, as we were learning to understand the system (some strange "blips" due to pump/heater system on outdoor pool, etc.) For us, South Coast Solar IS Rebekah, very rare to find this kind of cheerful, extraordinarily responsive service, thank you!

I could not be happier with the system that South Coast Solar installed. From beginning to end, the entire process was fantastic. My sales rep, Rebekah, was terrific. She explained everything in detail and answered every question I had. Rebekah checked in multiple times to let me know where we were in the process and what came next. From the office staff to the install team, everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any question I had. You can do your own research if you want, but after considerable time spent looking into solar panels, the SunPower panels are by far the best in performance, longevity and you cannot beat the warranty. My first Entergy bill after a full month of solar was $8.55. My only regret is not doing it sooner. If you're considering solar panels, call South Coast Solar, ask for Rebekah and you'll never look back. Thanks South Coast Solar and Rebekah for everything!

South Coast Solar installed my panels this winter, and I'm so glad I decided to work with them. All of the staff and installers I spoke with were professional and knowledgeable, and I really felt like they helped me find the best possible option for my home. I have 18 SunPower 360W panels installed on my roof: 9 panels for my unit, and 9 for my tenant's unit. Both units are pretty small so our bills aren't that high (I pay electricity for both sides), but I'm excited to see the savings and be more environmentally-friendly, too. The panels are on a hard-to-see roof (I had to walk across the street and down to take this picture), but they look great, and I wouldn't mind if they were more visible. All of the installers that came out to the house were polite, professional, and responsive, and they made sure that everything was cleaned up before leaving. I'm now waiting on Entergy to give me permission to turn my system on. Many thanks to the folks at South Coast Solar for working with me on this project - I'll continue to send homeowners interested in solar their way!

From beginning to end, the process of planning to installation to implementation, South Coast Solar made it easy and simple to join the growing population of eco-friendly homes. South Coast Solar associate, Charro, was especially helpful and patient with all our questions and concerns about the potential project. She helped us understand how easy and beneficial their system could be for our needs. After making the decision, South Coast Solar took the reins and completed the sitework, permit applications, installation plans, and communication with our electric utility. They made it very easy for us to sit back and watch the process unfold. It simply could not have been easier, from a consumer perspective. During installation, one of the owners of South Coast Solar was on site to ensure that not only everything was done properly, but that the impact to our daily lives (we work from home) was minimized as much as possible. The crew was efficient and very professional, and the work was completed much quicker than we anticipated. Our overall experience with South Coast Solar exceeded our expectations. Every question was answered with patience and understanding, and they ensured we understood every answer before moving on. We would absolutely recommend South Coast Solar for anyone looking for solar options for their home or business.

Fantastic Experience! My SunPower experience has been delightful and enlightening. They have been totally professional and honest with me from the first meeting. Charro and Scott have been more like mentors and friends than sales folks. Their honesty and professionalism has been like a breath of fresh air in today's world of hustlers and cons. I have been interested in solar power for some time, but have been waiting for the technology to get to the point I thought it was worth the investment. Well, with my Tesla Power Wall and solar panels I can say that my wait was worth it! We live in a rural setting and power loss happens far too often. My Tesla wall and solar panels have kept us up and running without a hitch. My power bill is lower than I expected and during the summer I'm selling power back to the power company-NICE! As I said, Charro is amazing how energetic she is to find the answers to my solar power questions. She overcame every little obstacle (there weren't many) and basically handled everything. Scott is an incredible engineer, not just for the electrical panels and all that technical stuff, but how he can make everything come together flawlessly. If you are lucky enough to chat with him, he's really a bit of renaissance man. Very interesting fellow. His crew was courteous and professional. Cleaned up as they went, and are really good at what they do. I wish SunPower did more than solar panels because I'd use them for any project I had-they are just that good!

The BEST Customer Experience EVER! I began with another company (Renu Energy) but wasn't happy. I looked for other quotes using EnergySage and went with South Coast Solar. So happy I did. The salesperson, Charro, was fantastic. If I asked her for something it was emailed to me within the hour. My wife and I are both lawyers so (of course) we made a lot of changes to the form contract - not a problem. The back office team is equally good. When we had a delay with Duke, South Coast emailed me explaining the issue - and the resolution - before I could even ask the question. Installation went smoothly (two days) and looks great. Just passed inspection and currently waiting for Duke to swap out the meter. The cost was a little higher (maybe 2%) than Renu was quoting, but the panels are different/better. They have microinverters on each panel, rather then one big inverter mounted on the wall. The big difference being that the same company, SunPower, stands behind the warranty on the panels AND the inverters (because it's all one unit). No finger pointing between suppliers if something goes wrong. All in all, one of most customer-friendly companies I have ever dealt with. Could not recommend South Coast Solar more highly.

I chose South Coast Solar from Columbia, SC because of the knowledge that Grant S shared with me during our consultation. Grant never tried to force me to accept any sales pitch. I was immediately impressed that Grant walked down the outside of my house to verify any shading; he looked in the attic to ensure the structure could support the panels and electrical wiring could be installed and looked at my outside electrical boxes. Grant told me about the cash rebate that the panel company was offering. Grant offered state laws and information that help you to understand that is process is taken very serious by the electrical companies and the government. There is a lot of paper work involved in this process, along with engineering drawing. Columbia is only 50 miles (1-hour drive) from me so they are closer to get to me if I need repairs or equipment upgrade. I had two other quotes also. Grant had the same 310-volt panels as the other two sales reps from Charleston, SC and they were asking $35,000 for the same brand panels with no cash rebate. South Coast Solar had the same panels for $24,000 with the end of the year cash rebate from the solar panel company. The other two Charleston based companies were so overpriced. I asked Grant is there other voltage of panels about any other panel and he said yes. There was a 410-volt panel for about $3,000 more. I wanted a quote for those panels and those are the panels I chose. South Coast Solar offered a 25-year warranty on the solar panels and the labor. Other companies did not. The Better Business Bureau had the company listed with a very good rating and any complaints were resolved. (No business is perfect and as long as your customer service can work to appeal the customer, I can work with that.) South Coast Solar from Columbia, SC sent three installers, Stevie, Bennett, Chris and Steve to my house on Feb. 28, 2020 to install my 9.02kw system, 22 SunPower 410AC modules with SunPower monitoring. These four young men did an excellent job. They involved me in the entire process and explained everything to me as they installed various components and equipment. I received a really good education on solar panels. These young men were very polite and respectful. I was very impressed as they worked through lunch to ensure they completed the job today. I had to get them lunch and encourage them to at least take some bites of their barbeque pork lunches as they worked. They clean up and left everything very clean. They never deviated from the engineering drawing even when I told them I approved of relocating a few solar panels to the other end of the house on the back. These young men take this process serious and they work by the laws that keep them safe and employed. I was truly impressed that another Master Electrician, Steve, showed up around 12:30pm to verify and ensure the work of the electrician and his wiring was in code and correct. That was a surprise but definitely an assurance. I have Dominion Energy scheduled to come and review the work that SunPower South Coast Solar has completed at the end of the week and then we can turn on the solar panels. I will report back later when to let you know if this system really saved me any money. However, I can say, this company did an excellent job in installation and keeping me informed of the progress of my application along with the documents required. As far as installation at this point, I do recommend them for installation. Suggestions for improvement – always have more than one price quote to a consultation. People are on fixed budget so have a price range from a low price to the best quality price. Some people like low and some like the latest and greatest in technology. This is a win-win for everyone. I had to ask was there any different panels and I went with the higher grade panels but I needed way less of them.

We had a solar system installed in 2013 by Solar Tech out of Asheville, NC (the original installer). This past year, starting in April a microinverter failed, within 3-4 months a total of 4 microinverters failed. I tried for over 8 months to get the original installer to replace the microinverters with zero success. Finally, I contacted Scott O, Chief Technology Officer, for the local SunPower dealer. I explained the problem I was having and he immediately stepped up and offered to solve the problem. He assured me he could fix the problem. He communicated with the SunPower technical support staff and provided a reasonable cost estimate to install the new inverters. His cost bid was approved and within a very short time he scheduled his installers to be on site to complete the job. The crew arrived right on time and went to work. They inspected the original installation and found a number of major deficiencies committed by the original installer; failure to seal roof cable penetrations, failure to make ground wire connections, failure to properly secure wire connections, failure to weather seal ends of panel runs, just to mention a few. Scott's crew corrected these deficiencies on the spot and made sure the system was fully operational. They didn't just install the new inverters, they went above and beyond the call to duty. They mapped the location by serial number of all 10 panels, which was something the original installer failed to do. Scott's crew had to remove all 10 panels just to find the location of the failed inverters. I am extremely pleased with the support and assistance by Scott O and his crew. They did an outstanding job. Couldn't be more pleased. I'm so glad I was able to find Scott O and his crew.

This was a professional outfit from the get-go. They had the plans for our house available for our first consultation and the sales lady knew her product thoroughly. They were offering a 7kw package and determined that I could actually get a better one and proposed that. They had ALL of the necessary paperwork necessary with complete instructions. They arrived on the day agreed on and began the installation with an experienced crew. The whole installation, including the electrical installation was as neat and professional as it was possible to be. There was power production and a reduction in power needed because the installation shades the roof. We have had this installation running without the slightest problem for almost two years. We are very pleased and satisfied. We highly recommend them!

I am a happy returning customer of South Coast Solar, having worked with the company installing 16 * 225W SunPower panels on my new construction house in November 2009. When it was time to finally build a garage I knew I wanted to increase my solar power production. My new system (22 * 360W panels) was installed at the end of November 2022 and is producing just over 50% of my electricity needs (as predicted). I am very happy with entire process and enjoy monitoring system performance daily with the “My SunPower“ mobile phone app.

We worked with Rebekah to design our solar system with battery packs, she was very helpful in making changes to the system to suit our needs. Due to some supply chain challenges (batteries) the install was delayed, both she and Mandy were great in communicating the changes and working with our schedules. Install went great and the system is functioning perfectly. Rebekah's numbers off the model she provided are right on the money on a sunny day.

Needed just one more solar panel to complete my set up for refrigeration. Trying to find a company that will sell ya one panel is difficult, but Kristy at Powerstore made it easy. They had the exact Mission panel size I needed to match up with my array, and the price including delivery was great. I now have a solar system with a Bluetti battery backup that eliminates $40 a month from my electric bill, basically making all my refrigeration needs FREE! Kristy was easy to deal with and thoughtful in her ideas to make this happen! I couldn't be happier.

I am updating my review of Sun Coast Solar. I had my system installed in Feb 2019 and experienced problems with the system delivering the guaranteed production. Last week, Sun Coast came back to my house, installed 3 new panels and repositioned my existing panels. I am now changing my review as a result of this experience and would now recommend Sun Coast to others seeking to add panels to their home.

South Coast installed my 27 panel solar system in November 2011. The installation was neat and met my high standards. It has been totally reliable ever since. I check and plot the output periodically, and there has been no decline in output over nearly 9 years, and it has more than paid for itself in reduced Entergy bills. There have been no roof leaks under the solar panels.

I have been using South Coast Solar and their Chief Technical Officer Scott Oman for designing, installing, maintaining and upgrading the solar array at my residential property in SE Louisiana since 2009. Scott is extremely knowledgeable and has always been able to make some highly technical issues very understandable to me. The installation that Scott did for me has functioned virtually trouble free since December 2009. I have recommended/referred Scott and South Coast Solar to several friends who have successfully used them to install solar arrays on their properties.

South Coast Solar was a great experience, from the beginning until the end. They were very responsive and explanatory in the early planning/design phase. They were fast and professional in the installation phase. And they were still right there in the post-installation phase to ensure we got the system turned on and reporting correctly. I can't recommend this company enough.

I was told by South Coast Solar that my Power Company (Newberry Electric Coop) had NET Metering and a Buyback program for any energy that was produced but not used by month end for Solar customers. This was not true as they do not offer these programs to commercial accounts. I managed to receive a copy of an email that was sent from Newberry Electric Coop to South Coast Solar documenting that these services were not available on commercial accounts prior to my installation. Funny that was never communicated to me by South Coast Solar. I only found out many months later when I inquired why my electric bill was not reflecting the energy being created by my solar system. I was told by the CEO that there was nothing they could do concerning the miscommunication but that they would me sell me another battery at a discount to capture more of the energy being created. I am still buying back some of the very energy that my solar system created. I would never have made the investment if I knew there was no Net Metering or Buyback Program! They refuse to correct their wrongs! Be very careful with this company!

Cost was right. Communicated with us throughout the entire process from estimate to completion. We received everything we were promised and more. Our system is producing 10% more electricity then we were promised. Thank you Rebekah O for all your help.

South Coast Solar, New orleans is professional and accurate in assessing requirements and making adaptations to fit the needs of the customer even when it results in less business for them. We recommend the company most highly.

Our system was professionally installed. Couldn't have been easier. All the permits and phone calls were done for me. No problems at all. I would like to thank Charro H, Kathy T, Mitchell J and the whole crew who worked at my house for the great job.

SOUTH COAST SOLAR installed a 14.1 kw system to my home in 2011, within 3 yrs the system started to fail, after 6 yrs more than 90% of the system had failed or was failing. the micro inverters had failed not the solar panels, my warranty with the micro inverters was honored by Enphase. South Coast Solar have are yet to schedule a date to have my system upgraded. They received the upgrade parts 5months ago from Enphase.

Repairs take over 6 months even for small routine repairs. Even prior to the pandemic service had been an issue. It’s almost like there office is out of state like maybe in South Carolina. Many of my panels are inoperable due to faulty optimizers to date.

Came to the house to Jumpstart system after hurricane. Within the hour. Up MD running.. gr8 team

Signed a contract in November of 2021. Still waiting to complete my system, September 2022. So many promises broken you should run from this company, I wish I had
