A couple months before the State of Louisiana tax credits expired several years ago a sales rep was walking down the sidewalk in our neighborhood examining homes for solar panel feasibility. I was doing yard work and he engaged me in a conversation. One thing lead to another and we decided to sign a contract to install solar panes on our roof before the LA tax credits expired. The combined federal and state tax credits eventually paid for 80% of the costs for our new solar panels! Our electricity costs, especially in the summer, dropped markedly but I do not know exactly how much. The only glitch was after a couple years we developed a leak in our roof. I called Solar Alternatives, our insurance company and roofer who installed a new roof a few years earlier. All three companies showed the next morning and Solar Alternatives discovered one of their gaskets in the attic was not installed correctly. They repaired it immediately and paid to repair all damage to our house. They sent someone to repair the water damaged wall at a convenient time for us. Although we were given a written explanation of work completed, we never saw an invoice. They took care of everything, Of course, the one gasket should have been installed correctly in the first place. But mistakes do occur in most in construction jobs and they "owned it immediately" and took care of it. There is nothing more we could have asked them to do.

Solar Alternatives installed my solar panels with battery back-up system in late 2012. They were professional and efficient in doing the work and always kept me apprised of the status; they even referred me to a roofer to change out the tiles for a fiberglass roof on the quadrant where the panels were to be installed. They also provided all of the necessary documentation and walked me through getting my federal and state tax credits. Now, after 11-1/2 years now of drastically reduced electric bills (negative at some times of year), the system has virtually paid for itself. I highly recommend Solar Alternatives.

From the initial consultation to the very end after our solar panels had been installed and we had minor issues with our charging station, the customer service has been exceptional! I can't say enough good things about solar alternatives as a company. We received personalized attention from the very beginning and were able to customize a solar panel/EV charging station and battery charger station that worked perfectly for our family and home. We never felt like we were being pushed into something or being upsold. If anything we felt that our customer service representative Ellie O, was always very conservative in her recommendations and was always looking for ways for us to save money while maximizing our energy storage. Even after we signed the contract we could always call Ellie about any questions/issues we had and they were addressed immediately. Later on we ended up adding an EV charger and worked with Max and he was excellent as well, extremely attentive and thorough. When we had issues after it was installed, he was able to call the engineers out that very day to fix it and they checked on us multiple times to make sure it was working ok. We are 100% satisfied with the service and product quality we have gotten with solar alternatives and can't recommend this company enough!!

I decided to get solar panels after Hurricane Ida. Before the hurricane my entergy bill average $200 a month. After the hurricane my bill was $400 to $500 a month for about 4 months. Once my solar panels were installed, up and running then my bill average was about $100 a month. Last summer was the hottest summer we ever experienced with 115 temperatures. My entergy bill averaged maybe $200 to $250 while other entergy bills were $400 and $500. I Love my solar panels from Solar Alternatives!!!

Any questions I had throughout the process were properly addressed, to include the maze that Entergy established for them to navigate. Flexibility, transparency, friendliness, quality over more than 15 years. No quibble Replacement of defective mats (manufacturer error) used when our first pool heater mats died of a ripe old age. Excellent service replacing our 23 yo household water heater damaged by a freak cold snap when we were not home to drain it. Overall information on how to maximize use of electricity tailored to our situations. We plan to continue to use Suncatchers of Atlanta as required. Saving % is for the household hot water. Would not be swimming almost all winter if not for the pool heater

They did a nice job on the installation and answered my questions promptly. I think the systems are expensive but that is not unique to this company. They handled the permitting and inspection process. It was really effortless for me to get the system installed and inspected.

When we decided to install solar panels, solar alternatives was the best company! Instead of just selling us a product, they educated us on how we could reduce our energy usage through sealing our windows and doors and insulation. We had done those things before so we were ready for solar!

Solar Alternatives has a fantastic team both on site and in the office. They installed our solar panels originally and then about 10 or 11 years later helped us add a Tesla Powerwall. They helped us get great financing and provided all the necessary paperwork for tax credits.

The response time was excellent. They were able to remove , store, and reinstall my panels after a house fire. Panels are good as new with the added bonus of the enphase battery system

Really makes a difference in my electric bill. Entergy supplies both electricity and gas. This month, my Entergy bill was about $55. Of course the solar panel system saves the most in simulate spring and summer.

They did such a good job on the solar panels I had them come back for the solar hot water heater and again for the tesla batteries and charger! Highly recommend! Thanks!
