The bird fence was explained to me it was part of the solar installation and no extra charge by the salesman. Then when I signed the document it was sold to me it will be removed, but never was and I'm left with financing over $1k for bird guard. Also, within the first year my roof leaked when it rains for the first time after the installation. I called because it was under warranty I was told it wasn't because it wasn't leaking from where they install the solar, but they were walking back and forth in that area which caused it to leak - where is the 10 year warranty they offered? I had to paid out of pocket to fix the leak. The Solargard digital bix was replaced within a year and wasnt the one I had with the nice digital readings. It is now just a plain white box on the wall. Disappointed with the company and their warranty.

3/27/24 Office visit...left $1,000.00 deposit. 3/28/24 submitted cancel of contract. 3/28/24 promised by Salesperson that deposit refund would process immediately. 4/10/24 called billing dept & they asked me to give them my routing info for direct deposit refund info...they said that they are not able to do refunds back to the CC? 4/10/24 while on the call with billing, a manager got on the call and questioned why i was cancelling...she was condescending and rude, saying in the end: "we don't want any customers that aren't interested in our product" and touted millions of dollars of business each year...definitely not a conversation I invited, nor needed. 4/10/24 reached out to complain to COO, and was assured by COO that he would look into this and personally see to immediate refund. 4/12/24 still waiting. My main issue with Sol-up is that I initially asked for a price comparison based on a 9kw system with preferred Panasonic panels with micro-inverters because I had already gathered 4 other proposals and wanted to compare "apples to apples" so to speak. Sol-up kept presenting me with Meyer-Burger panels with optimizers to a Hybrid inverter which I did not want. Sol-up offered me a "take-it or leave-it" in house bonus of $1500.00. They wanted to immediately schedule a site survey. Overall, debatable or not, I personally believe from the information that i have gathered...that the Panasonic Panels are the only manufacturer that backs their product for 25years parts and labor...even if the company goes out of business...and the panels are top rated, if not the best available. And my preference for micro-inverters as opposed to optimizers and 1 main inverter is backed by most sources today...getting into a "which is better" is a good thing for informational purposes, but if they truly believe what they say, then allow the customer to go home, research and verify the info...and especially keep the "bonus" offer available if they truly believe what they say. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for my $1,000.00 deposit to be refunded.

Physician here. I contracted with Sol-up to install a system after interviewing several firms. It was a huge mistake. On the first day of installation, only part of the job was completed, but that didn't stop Sol-up from repeatedly demanding the balance of payment in violation of the contract. First at the jobsite and then that evening repeatedly by email. The bird wire had yet to be installed, the wifi connected, the conduit painted, or the system inspected, but the CFO was demanding full payment. When I referenced our agreement and noted they were in breach, they were hardly deterred. Here we are, two months later, the bird wire has yet to be installed (instead they put on an ugly black mesh I had previously rejected) and they are back at it demanding payment knowing they haven't honored our contract. They literally admit in writing they haven't installed the bird wire as required and yet they are demanding full payment. Do yourself a favor, find another solar contractor.

DO NOT USE SOL-UP! They use shady and underhanded techniques in order to get your money. I have to admit we were pleased at first with Sol-up until 5 years down the road. During contract negotiations we informed them we would be getting a new roof in about 5 years, they said "No problem, we will come out and remove /replace the panels at no cost." When it came time we found out there is an additional $9,000 charge to remove and replace solar panels for a re-roofing project. Sol-up told us they could not use the existing equipment they had originally installed because it was no longer any good and we had to get all new racking and panels. Sol-up admitted they do not have faith in their own equipment they originally sold us, how bad it that! They want us to pay half the cost of the solar system again to do what they promised to do for free! Sol-up straight up lied to us from the get go!
