After fifteen years in the renewable energy business, I had the worst nightmare installing a Solar-Ark inverter. The first issue is contacting tech support while on site. You should sit on-site for hours before someone returns your call. One time, I had a callback 48 hrs. after I requested help, and it was at 9 pm when I was already at home. I have been talking with seven people of Sol-Ark tech support level 1. Only Gustavo Aragon was professional enough to inter fix the issues. Al others are more concerned with defending their company than with helping. It is a symptom of a company with many problems. Finally, I was sent with Bill Leach of Level 2. Same thing. No help, more defending the company than intent to help. The worst is that he had blocked me. Hi, it does not allow me go to the engineering department to talk with someone else. He cached all my emails to block me. Even when the intention is to make the inverter work as it should. I even emailed the company's CEO, but I haven't received a response. Technical issues. The 12k 2=P inverter can have 13kW PV input, but it delivers only 37.5 Amps. This is not enough energy to charge an electric car, which today is one of the main homeowner requests for feeding in case of a blackout. It is like having a water tank with 13,000 gallons, but having a delivery valve of 1/3". Useless. The inverter manual says it can "Backup the Whole-Home." This is not real unless you have a tiny home with all appliances using gas. The inverter's tech information says it can work Off-Grid—same thing. After two months of testing all configurations, Sol-Ark announced that it is not working properly during blackouts or off-grid conditions. The worst is that the Sol-Ark people do not take responsibility. There are Sol-Ark defenders, NO Helpers. My name is Al M, and I've been involved in the design of many solar systems, ranging from 1.7 kW to 5MW. I was a project manager overseeing the installation of over 50 inverters from at least 4 different brands. Installed the first off-grid system in 2010 with a car battery backup. I had never that bad support and frustration as working with Sol-Ark.

This statement is false. “ Sol-Ark currently sells three models of inverter, with names that correspond to the number of kilowatts (kW) of continuous power output. They are called the 5K, 8K, and 12K lines. Sol-Ark plans to begin selling a 15 kW inverter (called the “15K” of course) later in 2022.” I have two 12k EMP sol-ark inverters and after all the money i spent on these pos i come to find out they can only deliver 9kw ea NOT 12kw that everyone believes! I installed a 25kw array and the only way to get it to put out the max of the array is to drain my battery down, then it will produce 23 to 24kw while it is charging the batteries however as soon as the batteries are charged it drops the system back to 18 to 19kw. I have contacted Sol-Ark and these people will not even respond. I sent a certified letter to CEO, no response. I joined linkedin and message him, no response but someone who claims to be owner will look into it and get back to me in a few days, guess what , no further contact from them. That was over 2 weeks ago. I emailed them , no response. This is not a reputable or legitimate company. They claim customer’s are important to them however their actions say that that is false. Ignoring me or any customer is not good practice. I asked them to swap out these falsely advertised inverters for 2 15k inverters.

Quick response to my call, came right out and gave me a very informed estimate with several options that fit what I was looking for, answered all my questions and even some I didn't think of. I would recommend them to all.

Sol Ark used to have great customer service. but now that they have grown, they are too busy to take calls. Can't get technical support in the field anymore. Just another company that doesn't know how to grow and service.
