Provision was amazing to deal with! Linc helped me work out a great system that met all my needs for my home and vehicle. The design team was very professional and did a great job finding the right setup to match my needs and my home. Install team was professional and efficient and did a great job getting my system installed. I can't say enough great things about this team and the owners. During my install, an issue with my roof came up that was almost assuredly from the build of the home and yet the owners and management of ProVision took care of the problem and all repairs at their expense as the builder of the home chose not to make repairs. The ProVision team made gettingy home fixed a personal priority when they easily could have left me to figure it out myself. It's easy to do the right thing for your customers when things are going well or when it doesn't cost much to fix issues, but ProVision stepped up and took care of an issue that wasn't necessarily their responsibility at significant cost just to do what they felt was right for their customer (me). There's not a lot of companies out there like this. I would absolutely do business with this team again and suggest anyone looking for solar gives them a call!

The whole process was professional. We installed close to the end of the year, and they were on top of it, and got it done very quickly and cleanly. They had to wait on the install of the solar until I could get my metal roof repainted, which in turn got delayed because the paint crew (not associated with ProVision) caught covid. But ProVision worked with us, and everything happened flawlessley.

Provision Solar installed a system consisting of Sunpower PV panels, SolarEdge inverter, and Tesla batteries. Bottom line: the system is outstanding ... but getting here has been a journey. This is a huge investment and we have experienced several challenges (you can read that as "problems"), the root cause is HELCO and to a lesser extent ProVision lack of open honesty. We signed up for the "Swell Energy Incentive" which pays an incentive to solar "producers" with battery storage. It took SIX MONTHS after we were "on line" to start to see any incentive payback. In addition, we were led to believe (by ProVision) that we would be "paid" for any solar energy over production by HELCO. This is patently MISLEADING. In fact, HELCO is the ROOT PROBLEM here - they will give you "credit" for your overproduction on your monthly bill (at about 25% of the retail energy (kWh) rate) ... BUT!!! ... after every 12 months, any accrued credit is "FORFEIT" (per HELCO's contract). This CLEARLY speaks to HELCO's big LIE about promoting renewable energy. There is absolutely NO INCENTIVE by HELCO to over-produce solar energy. ... However, Swell Energy has an exceptional concept where they pull energy from your system as needed to serve needs in your general area. This is a form of a distributed energy production and storage model that has been widely hailed in peer reviewed papers as the future of a robust and sustainable U.S. energy grid. If you sign up for Swell Energy's incentive program, you can reap the benefits that HELCO refuses to give. The only downside is the lag time in seeing those benefits from Swell ... which is (my personal guess) due largely to HELCO - not Swell. So, if you have read this far, my suggestion is ProVision offers the BEST solar panels (Sunpower) and among the best batteries (Tesla). ProVision sales people are not as thorough, open, and honest as I'd like, but there is always the need for buyer responsibilty. Provision crews are outstanding!! My belief is that HELCO has absolutely no interest in ANYTHING except lining their own pockets.

The original sales person was knowledgeable and friendly, however he left the company midway through the process. I wanted a system that would provide me with a minimal Helco bill. I got a system with a greatly reduced Helco bill. The crew that came out did good work. The other reason for only four stars is that no one came out to explain the system or how it worked selling excess power back to Helco. Once my invoice was paid I had minimal follow up service.

Only disappointment was the lack of consistent communication from the project management and staff about what to expect as we moved through the process, from the time of signing the contract to getting the various inspections and permit requirements completed to getting the system energized and operational.

It did completely go down less than 2 months after installation and they took a few days to even get back to me, but since it was right before Christmas and they did get it back up within a week, and I’ve been mostly happy with everything in the process and completely happy with the result, I didn’t take off a star.

Everything was great except the flexibility of work schedule. I had to make several special arrangements and take time off work to meet the crew. They always did a good job, it's just inconvenient they are based out of the Hilo side and couldn't arrive early or stay too late.

There were a few bumps along the way but my electric bill savings is awesome. My only gripe is as follows: There has been a few times where an appointment was made and the work crew did not show up or they came late. This is a pet peeve for me because we plan our day around the appointment so a quick phone call to update the customer would have been appreciated.
