Been trying to get Solar installed since Early March. Lacey M was the PM. She is the utter example of not know how to be a PM. Zero Communication, Zero Accountability. -Not contacting me when Solar being delivered (requires signature) -Not contacting me when batteries being delivered (requires signature) -Installers never showed up on Install date, she doesn't call them or me. Job gets canceled and delay for 2 weeks. -Install was 1/2 done with old equipment with exposed wires still on the wall. She does nothing. -After all set - they install the wrong meter socket and have to order a Gateway. Issues over issues and her accountability is trash. I don't understand how she even has a job. There is no phone communication at all, only email contact. Which takes up to 48 hours or longer to respond. What a joke Powur is, they should be bankrupt.

Once the contract was signed I never heard from the sales agent again. I was dealing with a new person/company with no real explanation of the parties. My roof was not checked prior to install and wouldn't have been if I had not insisted. Today, I don't even have Solar but I keep getting these requests to review which is evident that there was no follow through.

Once installation was done there were a couple of issues, we had broken roof tiles and it took three months for us get the monitoring program so we were not happy with that part. The whole system went down during a storm and we didn’t have access to the backup battery. They need a service oriented person for once the system is up an running to explain how it works and make sure things are programmed correctly.

I have had a couple of issues with the process and I am still waiting for some answers. Installation was scheduled for a certain date and it did not occur that day. It happened a different date where I wasn’t notified. I think the equipment seems fine but I am still waiting for the app information so I can monitor the output.

At first it was great then they just stop communicating and taking my phone calls. Left them a million messages and never received a phone call back. Recommended to a couple of friends but will definitely inform them of the horrible service and miscommunication.

There should be more streamlined customer support when things get installed. I had my system installed in August and it is November and it is still not turned on. It is not a good process.

Installation was long and difficult. It took like three months before my work was completed. You can never reach anyone. They need to make sure they have a management team on board to answer any questions to help.

Less than one year 31 panels later we have experienced 3 very bad leaks. 2 are still active for months after we were told they were fixed. Due to non-responsiveness leaks have caused a lot of internal and external damage. Internal we have mold forming in our attic, electrical damage , wood damage, roof and tile damages. We have been told by two independent companies install was done incorrectly. Wires are hanging unprotected. Very fearful house will go on fire and human life will be lost. We feel we were scammed. We are not even saving on our electric bill. We want all damage caused by incorrect installation taken care of. We want to stop doing business w Powur. Panels off repairs done loan sponged We want Powur to own up to the mistake and make it right

A quick honest review here. Initial meeting went well. They did a good job with design, communication and the initial part of the process. Now for the instal. The panels were up in 4 months. Now the finished instal was suppose to be done in May. This is when we started paying for the loan. However there was no electricity being produced. The company sent us equivalent gift cards for the amount we paid.(this was a nice gesture but does not replace actual money). So then they were finally up and running the last week of August. We were happy and understood that sometimes companies run into bumps. The panels worked for less than 17 days. Then the system stopped. It needed a new part that has been delivered. That was a month ago. We have been paying for both electricity and our loan for 2 months. We received a lean in the mail on our property for not paying for the work done from the subcontractors this company hired.. So…. Apparently not only are we paying for equipment that does not work, we are being come after the contractors this company hired. We are currently trying to get out of this contract. They have not been helpful what so ever. Now if this was up and working in May as expected, there would be no problem, but we are over a year in this process and just trying to get out. Unless something changes I would highly recommend staying away from this company until the set up contractor situation gets fixed. Why are the contractors coming after us, when they should get paid by Powur Solar.

Worst company ever! I would give them 0 stars if possible!! I've had my system over two years now and it's worked maybe 3 or 4 months. The installers (SmartSun) are the absolute worst and as incompetent as they come!! They have no office phone number and no website. I see why, as they are trash! They have had to come out so many times I've lost count. Took them over 7 months to fix my system one time. Powur does nothing but give you lip service and puts you back with the same incompetent installers. I have been repeatedly lied to by Powur and SmartSun and have the emails and texts to prove it. This has been the biggest mistake of my life getting solar with this trash company!!

I thought I did my homework when choosing this company. Obviously I didn’t . I have had nothing but problems with this company from the start of my project a completely throughout. They placed these conduit pipes running completely down the front of my house an along my two garages. It looks hideous! I was told my design was with the city of Tracy for 3 months for the revised plan. When I called the city I was told they just got the revised plans on 7-11-23. Panels was installed back in April. Tracy permit department did a 3 day turn around . This is causing me monthly payments to the finance company an PGE. Gabriel with true green electric is also a joke! I wouldn’t do business with these people either if I was you. Sale agent Wally an PM Barbara zero accountability for there non responses a mistakes. I already see this situation going to court.

Terrible customer experience + Non stop change requests due to terrible project management. I've been waiting since March to get my solar panels. I've been requested to sign three different contracts with different dates + addendums + change of addendums. When I asked why? I received messages stating that I need to sign in order to continue the process. I signed the last contract and weeks have passed, no updates, the project manager does not respond to email, does not give a call. Through the process they firs confirmed they could install the panels in my existing roof (after they sent two different inspectors to deeply review the house). In the day of install I only received 1 text message sayin the installation was cancelled (no call, no email, nothing else). In the following months I was asked to partially replaced my roof, fully replaced my roof, wait for new permits, wait for more changes... all with not ONE call from the project manager, not ONE call from the roofing coordination but just based on me reaching out and doing the management work with the support team and the sales contact. As of today I'm still waiting... with the double of the original cost and no installation date on sight.

Nicole Williams Los Angeles, CA

I was quoted a 12-16 week project because of Los Angeles permit approvals, and it took 8 months. As far as I can see, the major delays laid with the subcontractor not understanding the permitting process for new structures and not caring enough to try and work through it. They were content instead to blame the city. On the approval side, we were held up 2-3 weeks in our final certificate of occupancy because the sun-contractor failed to submit the proper photos. We also lost 3 weeks waiting to turn the system on because no one mentioned until the day someone showed up at my house to turn it on that we needed wifi to enable the meter. They eventually got that part sorted, but it just points to a breakdown in communication and poor attention to detail. For months I have been asking my project manager to escalate problems with the sub-contractor, but I’ve received no follow up on that.

We had our system installed more than a year ago and our electric bill barely dropped. We contacted them and they said it might be because they installed it in a partially shaded area and agreed to pay to have the surrounding trees removed. They asked that we get a few quotes from tree removal companies, which we did and then never heard back from them. I’ve called and emailed several times and they either act like they don’t know what I’m talking about or tell me “someone will get back to me”. This company is the worst and I would leave a zero star rating and have them come pick the entire system up if I could.

Panels were installed in October 2022 have been paying since December it is now mid July and my system is still not turned on so I’m paying for solar and an electric bill. No one seems to know who is working our job. Was told from powur that the issue is core electric. We reached out to core last week and we’re told they just received the application for our meter the day before we called and read us all the notes they have on fine for powur. Our job was almost cancelled 2 separate times because there was no communication from powur. Our neighbors have gone with other companies for solar and their systems are running. One neighbor went with power months after we did and their system is on. I have been feed a boat load of bs everyone I have called in. I called powur and asked to talk to a higher manager or the owner on the company and was told one of them would reach out to me. We’ll surprise surprise haven’t got a call. Guess higher ups don’t care either. My last name is Anderson you can ask Britta C or Nan R for my information if you want to try and figure out this absolute mess.

Never got my install done over a year after I signed the contract. Multiple issues getting plans right including once they revised them onto the wrong house. Installer ghosted, project got delayed into winter then they said they couldn't do the install till the snow melted, I had to revise the permit myself which took 5 trips to the county permit office since their installer ghosted. Then when they were finally ready to install they said my financing has expired and the rate would now be 3% higher than what as in our contract, and the system cost $7k more. I fought it, they offered a $5k credit "due to the inconvenience." $5k credit to pay $7k more and 3% higher interest for 25 years? No thanks. Over a year of headaches and I never got my solar. Will start over with another company and hope for better experience.

I couldn't imagine a worse experience. Its taken over 8 months to have my system set up. I was told it would take 60 days. The installer failed to show up on 5 scheduled dates. When they showed up they smoke weed, talked about their sexual conquests outside my daughters window and went home after only working for 15 minutes. I had to take 9 days of work off to allow access to my home to complete installation and multiple failed building inspections. The internal process of filing the correct paperwork with the building department and energy provider was incorrect EVERY TIME! If it wasn't for my efforts from start to finish this project would still be in pending mode. I have asked powur to compensate me for time off and energy expenses and they have yet to even respond. For the Love of all that is good, please do not engage with Powur for any reason. Consider yourself warned!!!!

My solar panels have been installed about three months ago, part of the panels are not working, after couple of weeks follow up they sent third party technician to my house, he couldn’t figure out the issue, and they sent another person after couple about a month ago, he said one of the cable is loosely connected and then tightened it, but still didn’t work. Customer service person told me last week my cables were cut critter’s and sent the pictures of some other house solar panels that were cut by critters, I can tell 100% those pictures are not from my house because technician did not take pictures of my house, I was with him all the time and by looking the pictures I can tell those pictures are from very dirty roof. Customer service person instead of helping & fixing the issue , he is trying to manufacture the issue. I would really appreciate if higher officials can take action on my complaint.

To Whom It May Concern: I’ve been working since last year to put closure on this unfortunate experience with the installer crimping a micro-inverter during the February 7, 2022 initial installation. Generally speaking, of the total 30 panels installed, 10 panels were out of commission for approximately 2/3rds of the time during the various repair attempts from April thru September. Your compensation was originally $934 of which only $408 has been refunded. Although I am very happy with my solar panels and the money I’m saving, my patience is running thin in putting closure to this nightmare I’ve been thru, including working with Powur, in trying to get compensated for the full $934 refund. Thus, if you’re not able to immediately compensate the difference of only $526 within the next two weeks, I’ll have to put my closure on this issue with this “POOR” REVIEW of your company. And the following quote from Best Company review says it all in my poor review of Powur: "Powur Solar does not appear to hold a certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), considered the gold standard in solar installation training. Though the absence of this designation in no way implies poor service or installation quality on the part of the company, NABCEP-certified solar installers set themselves apart as true, industry-recognized experts. The presence of an NABCEP certification can also make the difference to homeowners comparing multiple providers." And on this last day, April 21, 2023, that I write this poor review, my patience was tested to the limit by an incredibly rude and unprofessional person that forcing me to write up this poor review!! Regretfully having to deal with the Powur customer service representatives, which should all be fired, I am, Gordon Chancey

If I could give Powur Solar 0 stars I would. Be very very weary about signing up with them. When it came to their sales team, they were very quick and on top of trying to get you to sign up. Once you sign up, that's when all the trouble begins. Our contract was signed in August of 2022 and til this day, we have not been approved by the city due to their installation flaws and design flaws. When they installed the panels on my roof, they drilled holes straight into my ceiling leaving cracks and damages that ultimately had to be fixed right before the rain. They had to turn of my power many times as they were fumbling with the electrical box. Every time I spoke with their project manager, she had no idea what the hold up was or what the status was. I had to directly contact each person involved to see what was happening. They even starting billing me and making me pay even though my solar power has not been turned on!! It's been 7 months and the whole purpose of getting this installed is for the heating during the cold winter and AC during the hot heat summers in Fresno. At this rate, I really doubt we will have it on in time when we need it the most for summer. Please take your money elsewhere!!!

We ordered I. July 2022 and today is Marc 22,2023 we had issue getting the solar panel installed then issues with the electrical they cut corners and our city inspector said we could have caught the house on fire. Our city fined them 3 times. So Powur said they fired the contractor that installed the panels month later they send another contractor because the 24 panel installed 3 were out however they could not tell which one and had to pulll them all to find now 5 were not working 3 weeks go by they come out with 4 panels not five. We r paying on the loan we took with them to get these but I am worried if they ever get this running and something happens am I going to wait a mont for it to get fixed and if I’m not producing the solar that I’m required will I get hit with a big bill! The lack of response time and all the calls all the time we have spent trying to get this company to get us up and running has stressed my husband and me out! The one good thing is we did not sign a contract with our energy company so our electric bills have been around $600 and they have paid two months worth and I am sending another bill for November.

This company is a perfect example of a corporation that has grown to big to know what any other department does or that customers matter. I have been told multiple things that end up being incorrect. My energy consultant disappeared after signing me up. The quote given for the roof increased by 7k after I signed and they were being deceitful about telling me. I wasted 4 months plus on the whole project. Once I was ready to cancel then they said they would honor the original estimate and wanted to schedule the work to start. 3 months after I cancelled I am still having to deal with them to withdraw utility connection application so another company can submit a new application.

Do not go with this company, just find someone else that has fewer complaints. I signed my contract on 8-15-22 and I am still waiting on 3-10-23 to produce solar of my own. I refered a friend who signed after me and he is up&running. My panels were installed, system left “on”, and PTO granted 9days ago but here I wait all the while I am already paying on my loan as the monthly payments have begun to come out of my account. I reached out to my consultant via text regarding these issues and the incorrect layout design ect., he promises to get things done and correct the wrongs. He showed me a request he sent in regarding my concerns over a week ago, yet no one has been in touch with me. I told him how unhappy this has made me. He responded with the reasoning “it’s construction and building, that’s how it goes in this business” and in the same text he was 100% sure to add: “pls dont bombard my phone with a slew of texts”! Seriously folks? Hearing crickets on my end only! Do NOT USE POWUR SOLAR!

If I could give no stars I would. I started my process and signed a contract in April 2021. I heard nothing until October 2021. The installation took almost a year. They failed city inspections repeatedly, did not inform me of the system location which takes up an entire wall of my garage and many other things that were wrong. Finally after the installation nightmare my system was up and running at the end of August 2022. By October 2022 it was not working. They claimed it was working and just disconnected from the gateway/internet. I've spent countless hours on the phone trying to troubleshoot the issue to no avail. I put trouble tickets in numerous times. They keep claiming that someone would come.fix it or offered to troubleshoot it again remotely. Finally someone came out and said that Powur was actually blocking my gateway. It took a month for them to unblock it. Someone finally came out again and now that the gateway is unblocked they discovered that the system isn't connected properly and the batteries are shutting down and getting overloaded and the system is in fact not working. They have been lying to me for months saying that it's still working I just can't see it because it's not on my wifi. I double checked with SCE and I have inccurred hundreds of dollars in power usage now. The 2 months the system worked I was earning credits. All the while I have been paying my loan payments on a system that's broken and worked for 2 months. Now I'll also be stuck with a hefty electric bill. I've repeatedly asked for compensation for this junk system that I'm paying for nobody answers me. I'm thinking of pursuing legal action. And the system still isn't working and it's February 2023. They have to come back again to try to fix it with a crew. WORST COMPANY EVER DO NOT USE THEM USE ANYONE ELSE

FIND ANOTHER SOLAR COMPANY! Do not do business with Powur. I wish I could give it zero stars. They’re unsafe, unreliable and unprofessional. 2 individuals have been assigned to my project. One is named Branden and the other is named Madison. I haven’t once heard from Branden besides the email I got saying he was my new project manager. Neither him or Madison have communicated to me any updates on my project. With Madison, I have to reach out and ask her what is going on and why strange men are at my door on behalf of Powur or the city. I’ve never received a phone call or an email from her, only text messages. On 4 separate occasions, I have had random men show up to my house, knocking at my door, asking if they can come in to look at various things in my basement. All 4 times I had no idea they were coming and it was at ridiculous hours! It happened twice this week with no contact from Madison or my program manager at all. I have no clue what’s going on with my project and it’s almost been a year since I signed up with Powur. A choice I’m seriously regretting. My panels were installed in September 2022 and are still not functional. Lastly, my loan payments will be due come February, which is extremely frustrating because I am going to be paying for a solar project that isn’t complete or functioning. I’m now having to pay Xcel AND solar, which completely defeats the purpose of me investing in solar. I’ve had to reach out several times for updates and to ask about the strangers that show up at my front door at early morning hours. I am a single parent with a toddler so this is extremely concerning for me. I understand we’re all busy and things slip through the cracks occasionally, but countless times is unacceptable. We’re talking about the safety of my and my toddler here. I have reached out to my program manager twice via email and gotten no response. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH POWUR!! So many better, more reliable, safer Solar companies in Denver, CO!

pre-solar, my power bills averaged about $150/month... post-solar, my power bills are averaging about $150/month or MORE, but I now have a solar bill to pay as well for $77/month too for the next 25 years. Since my solar has come online in June 2022, Edison (my electric provider) says I have basically doubled my consumption (magically!)...however, I have not changed any consumption habits, have no new appliances, no new roommates, nothing! In fact, I have been hyper-focused on making sure things are turned off and I was excited to see my bills disappear and receive negative bills from Edison...that has not even come close to happening. I have reached out to Powur several times, and each time I was able to reach anyone, they told me my panels are functioning properly and that Edison is lying to me about my usage. Of course, I called Edison and they told me my meter is reading my consumption properly and I am magically using double what I was using before I had solar! Now I can't reach anyone at Powur. They refuse to return my calls, emails and pleadings for help. My options are lawsuits and/or Investigative reporting. Either way, it has been a horrible experience.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have encountered with a company. The rep is quick to communicate and hound you to make a sale and then goes ghost. Powur sub contracts to various installers and lucky me got an installer (Smart Phase Energy; owner Jon) who was very unprofessional, lacked communication with me when they broke roofing tiles in the front of my house and claimed it was “normal”. But ignored my calls about the broken tiles for days. Then when they finally showed up- the installer Derek- laughed directly in my face. I will definitely be calling the board on them as well. However, back to this so called business- Powur. After the entire mess of the sub contractors- I am hoping to finally get PTO. Nope. Takes 45 days for PTO to process and when I reach out to my rep (who comes and goes with communication), my “project manager” Chloe N, and the “COO” of the company- Brenton S, they all ignore your telephone calls, text messages, and emails. Terrible employees and even worse customer service. Now I am 2 months past installation and my system is still not working properly. I owe my typical SCE bill + my $215 Solar bill that is not even working. I would not recommend this company to anyone, AT ALL. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I also wish I could remove all solar panels and begin fresh with a better company.

This has been a nightmare for me. Powur was recommended to me by a friend. I was very excited to get solar. I’m planning on retiring in a few years and liked the idea of having solar power for a set price. From day one it has been nothing short of a disaster. They make appointments and don’t keep them. Then was informed I needed a million dollar umbrella policy from my insurance company before the power company would connected me to the grid. So I bought that and still no solar connection yet. Now I’m paying a high light bill plus my solar payment. Now when I call Powur to find out what is going on they can’t tell me how long it will be before the light company approves the system. I wouldn’t recommend using Powur to anyone I know. Just beware and do more research than I did. It’s been going on for several months now and still no solar. At this point I’m just disappointed with the whole process.

I am not sure what "home office" is for San Luis Obispo County. There are several different locations for Powur solar throughout California, and I see that some of them get good reviews. Our experience with Powur in our local area was terrible. The sales rep (Rick J) was at the least not upfront with us and at the worst flat out lied to us to make the sale. He told us that Powur's solar panels are made in the United States, while competitors panels are made in China. This was a big selling point for us. We actually asked for clarification from him several times about this, because in the contract it did not specify that the panels were U.S. made. He assured us that yes they are made in the United States. When the crew came to install, a local company called Axiom (which, by the way, they were great), the panels were in a box with "MADE IN MALAYSIA" on it. I immediately took a picture and text Rick and our "project manager" (who by the way was a total lop and did next to nothing) to ask for an explanation. We never got a satisfactory answer. After doing some research on the company, Hanwha, I found out that they have facilities in China, Malaysia, South Korea and the newest facility is in the United States. Hanwha panels can be made from any one, or a combination of, any of these faciltites and you don't know where yours are coming from exactly, but that's not what the sales person told us. They should be up front and direct with people about that. We complained, and Powur just told us too bad so sad, we didn't do anything illegal. Knowing what I know now, we would have went with the local company Axiom, the subcontractor. They did all of the work anyway. Our experience with Powur was awful, there was little communication from our assigned "project manager" (I put that in quotes cause she managed nothing, that title is a total joke). Go elsewhere.

The Powur salesperson promised me that I would be able to get power from my solar panels if the grid went down. Oncor said I could have my solar panel power my house if the grid went down. However, my installer said I would lose power if the grid went down. I have worked with Sarah W for over 8 months now trying to get what my Powur sales professional promised. Even though I bought 23 solar panels, Mon, Aug 8, 2022 at 5:03 PM Sarah W wrote: "We can only sell you a battery with 8 panels attached as per the finance companies and our current business model. Hello David,

We're so sorry to hear about your less-than-optimal experience. Here at Powur, we strive to provide world-class service for everyone interacting with our platform.

We appreciate that you've brought this to our attention, and we would like to offer education about how your solar system works. Since a battery is not listed in your contract, it can't store the energy produced; the meter was changed to connect to the utility grid. This allows you to draw power from the grid when your system is not producing power, like at night. During the day, your home self consumes the energy it makes, and any overproduction is automatically sent to the grid. Don't hesitate to contact your utility company to inquire about a net metering plan and confirm that you are on a solar buyback plan to ensure that the utility company is crediting you for overgenerating power. For your convenience, here is the link to the solar buyback plans in Texas: https://www.texaspowerguide.com/solar-buyback-plans-texas/.

Around April of 2020 I had my Solar panels installed. I was initially told by sales representative Levi that the panels would reduce my electric bill by approximately $180 a month. I’ve never received more than $25 credit to my monthly bills for solar. In fact, the first month I received a wopping $7. I have text Levi on several occasions and recently requested that he send someone to checkout my system. He text me saying I have to contact your company to have the system checked. No one explained how the system operates. I’ve had these panels for 27 months and have never received a credit on my monthly bill of more than $25. I’m still paying over $290 for bill averaging monthly plus the monthly payment for the solar system. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this system and requested that you stand behind your product and make this right.

Dear Terry,

Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention. We are sorry to hear this has been an inconvenience to you and would be more than glad to help you understand how your solar system works.

The electric company does not credit you for 100% of the energy your solar system produces. You consume energy directly from the system in the daytime and only send the excess energy you do not consume into the grid, which then gets applied as a credit on your bill.

So, for example, if your solar system produces 1,000 kWh, you only see 500 kWh applied as a credit on your utility bill for that same time. You consumed 500 kWh of solar energy directly from the solar system during the day. You consume from the grid, which is your total consumption on your utility bill. The cost of your consumption is offset by the excess solar energy sent to the grid.

Your electric company does not measure how much solar energy you consume from the panels; they only measure what you pull from the grid.

After thoroughly reviewing the information you provided, we could not locate you in our system. Don't hesitate to contact us via customercare@powur.com or by phone so that we can assist by reviewing if your system is functioning appropriately.

TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY - This company installed faulty wiring and installed a battery that does not last for more than 2 hours. Worse, I gave them 3 chances to fix my issues and they no showed me and then called saying that they refuse to fix it. Per their supervisor Daniel they would not be fixing my solar or battery. I was told that I would get a battery system that would power my lights at night and instead after they installed the job they said that I would have to spend even more just to get what they had promised me in the first place, makes no sense why I would have to spend more money just to get what I was promised in the first place. They also use sub-contractors who are greasy at best and mark up their pricing. Powur is a sales organization that will take your money and run! Buyer beware!

My salesman, Moses, promised me that I could have electricity when the grid went down and that I could bank the electricity in fall, winter, and spring to offset the high electric bills during the TX summers. He lied. I contacted my project manager (Sarah) and customer service many times to work out a solution. On 5/10/22 @ 7:37 I was told that my system was wired to code. ...in other words 1. My salesperson and project manager weren't properly trained. If they were, they would have known what code was and wouldn't have made those promises or 2. My installer had more than one way to wire my system to code and chose not to deliver what I bought. I am stuck with solar panel that won't provide me electricity if the grid goes down and won't provide enough electricity to allow me to exchange my monthly payment for my panels for my electric bill as I was promised. I am now paying about 25% more a month with solar heading into the summer month where my electric use more than doubles. I tried to make things right with Powur and was stonewalled. I would not buy from Powur again and would welcome a call from them to verify this is true. They have my number.

Hello D. Mitch,

First, our sincerest apologies for the delayed reply. We’re sorry to hear about your less-than-optimal experience. Here at Powur, we strive to provide world-class service for everyone interacting with our platform. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention as we see this as an opportunity to improve our team member training and overall customer experience. We understand you have already been in touch with our team since your original review, but we wanted to provide a bit more clarity here as well.

Your original contract did not include a battery for backup power, which is why it's installed to connect directly to the utility grid when you're not consuming power. A battery backup system would allow you to store your system's excess energy during the day for use when your system is not producing power, like at night. Without a battery backup system, you are drawing power from the grid when your system is not creating energy and sending your overproduction back to the grid. Since you are in Texas, we recommend you look at your solar buyback plan to make sure you get the most credit for your overproduction. Each project is different, and you can change it if you find a more attractive one. Here is the link to review and evaluate the available solar buyback plans in Texas: https://www.texaspowerguide.com/solar-buyback-plans-texas/, in case it's needed. With the right buyback plan, you could improve the overall value you are seeing from your system.

Zero stars. Worst company I have ever worked with. Sub contracted all work then I was required to coordinate with the sub contractors if there was an issue. Installation was supposed to be 2 days. Waited a month to be inspected by the local power company before system could be green lighted to be turned on. After the system was green lighted to be turned on it took 4 more visits and 3 weeks for them to come out and troubleshoot between other installations. 7 full weeks between install and power output by solar panels. Another issue. I was supposed to have a connector installed with the system to use my generator for power at night and during power outages. This is not installed 2 full months since solar installation. Every step of the way communication, specifically returning my calls, has been an issue. Not merely a matter of a few minutes or hours to receive replies but several days or to a week for replies. I have called their help desk and the sales associate again and again trying to find out when my system will be completed. I am 100% fed up with them. 8 months from initial contact to nearly complete solar install with the contract being signed and permitted for 4 months of that. 4 months to go from approved permits to nearly complete solar install. DO NOT USE POWUR.

Stay away from POWUR under all circumstances possible. My family has had extremely terrible experiences dealing with them since the last week of July in 2021. It has been 6+ months since we first applied for our permits in NJ. It took them from July of 2021 until mid November to have the permits approved which were rejected by the township two times because their inability to follow correct fire protocols. I personally had to visit the township two separate times in order to get to the bottom of why our permits were being rejected so many times and send updates to the team since their own installers were lazy and not following up with our project. On the day of our installation in mid November I was told they would be arriving in between 8-9am on Nov 16. At 8:55 AM I receive a phone call that they will no longer be coming to install because the equipment did not arrive on time. I had taken a day off of work for this and they threw that at my face. Our system ended up finally getting installed on December 14th and we have been waiting for permission to power on but during the final inspection the township did not pass it because of certain fire conduits not following guidelines. During this whole process we have barley been updated or followed up with. We would go over 4/5 weeks without hearing from Ms. Lauren D & Mr. Domenic P. The lack of professionalism and responsibility from this company is infuriating. We were supposed to be installed and able to power on by the end of October at the latest and we are now towards the end of January with absolutely no progress. To top it all of Mr. P gave my family a $250 Amazon gift card for all of these inconveniences which is honestly a smack in the face after all the troubles and inconveniences this company has put us through. Their prices are competitive for sure but looking back I would much rather pay extra for a company that will do the job in a timely and correct manner. Stay away from POWUR. I have friends in the same township who applied for permits in august and were installed by mid/late September and able to operate their systems by late October. There’s no excuse for why our project is 6+ months in and we have yet to power our system on. Obviously they have no idea how to properly manage a project. The installer for our project who’s name was Ed was absolutely atrocious in handling our project and I would highly advise for you to avoid this company at all costs.

So usually when something seems to good to be true it is. Everything they sold me sounded great. Well now that my system is up and running "where are the big savings I was told I would see". I rolled in a new roof and financed the solar for 15 yrs. I was told your system would generate 95% solar but more likely 100%. They advised you will probably have at most a $15 bill to pay to electric company. Plus $1000 sign up fee due to being law enforcement. So I did recieve $1000, but now I see everyone seems to get that. I was told you wouldn't have to make a loan payment from 2 months after install. Well 2 months when by and still wasn't on yet. So I had my $400 electric bill plus the loan for $240. Finally everything was turned on and so much for my $15 to electric company. It was close to $150 plus my loan payment. I gave it 2 more months and no difference in savings. On top of this powur subcontracts another company that you have to work with. Then there the trecs. Very confusing setting them up and you have to enter all these different production numbers from one website to another. And it's been 3 or 4 months and being told I won't see them until November. So basically they pitch a great game, but reality your not saving or at least I'm sure not. Kevin R

Worst company ever. From install to service. I have the solar panels for 1 year now . First after they install it, nobody came to show me or make sure it was working. I had to figure it out myself after 2 months of install. The company apologized after I left a bad review on bbb.org and promise to send someone and even issue me a refund for the first 2 months, but nothing ever happened. Now after 1 year, they stop working. The inverted went bad (I had to figure it out). Got a new inverted replaced by Solar Edge and called Powur to send someone to replace it. 3 weeks and they can't still get the post install manager to come or say anything. I wish I had never let my friend sell me this and did more investigation about this company.

My system was installed about nine months ago, still waiting to finish the project. The sales rep,Leesa, originally told me I would be able to monitor my usage, that was never installed. During the install I wanted to add an additional battery and do whole home back up which solar edge made but, Powur wasn’t offering at the time is what I was told, just like they weren’t able to get me the Tesla system in Texas, according to Leesa, which is originally what I wanted. She informed me I could add in the extra battery, whole home back up and new inverter but would need a quote and an additional install. Ok, nine months later I am still waiting for a quote on the addition items I originally wanted and still no monitoring. I believe they use independent sales agents here in Texas and I don’t think that’s the best option as they can’t control their product. Leesa did put me I n touch with another electrician she uses but, he wasn’t interested in the add on and wanted to charge almost as much as the original install. Still not sure why she hasn’t just provided a quote through Powur...

Hi Billy- Sorry to hear about your disappointment with your system. Just to clarify, production monitoring is available as a system feature and we will work to set that up for you. Additionally, battery systems are absolutely a feature you can pick out and adjust in the process of designing your system. Powur does with an incredible network of independent energy consultants in Texas as well as throughout the country and each independent energy consultant supports the homeowner throughout their solar journey. Every consultant is backed by Powur's systems and people. We have in contact and look forward to helping resolve your questions and concerns.

I tried to be patient and understanding with this company. Upfront Zarko is a great salesman. I was promised 3 for panels to be installed. Took longer than expected. I was told that they submitted permit to city and were waiting. I checked in that same week and there was no report of permit attached to my address. Eventually panels were installed. Longer wait than expected. It wasn’t until after install that I noticed that they drilled holes through the open ceiling and is visible from inside my home (I can share pictures if anyone is interested) my beams were damaged and ceiling panels were cracked and broken in half. I reached out to powur and of course they are blaming the contractor that they paid and approved to do the installation on my roof. I had them come out and repair some of the ceiling and they just bonded the ceiling panels with wood glue and sanded it. My ceiling looks horrible and patchy with other cracked spots. There was recently a storm and we had a leak. They blamed the storm for tearing off panels and causing the leak. I don’t believe this as other reviews shows that they have damaged roofing panels before. I am currently reporting this company and contractor to state license board and may pursue legal representation as they do not want to remedy the damage “only what is solar related”. They damaged my whole roof and are denying to fix the leak. MICHEAL M is the rep that I have been speaking with regarding remedying this situation. I hope this long review helps someone. STAY AWAY FROM POWUR! Their 25year warranty is garbage and they will fight you every step of the way.

After installation support has been nonexistent. They don’t help me at all. I am not really saving money and they left my roof open for leakage. What they offer is crap.

Horrible experience. They completed the install summer of 23. The 1st & 2nd inspection has failed due to panel not properly labeled. Now in January we are scheduled for another inspection next week. Meanwhile we have been paying the premiums for a service or product that we do not receive. Communication has been minimal. We are extremely frustrated with the entire process and would never have started this had we known how difficult it would be to complete. The most aggravating aspect is making a monthly payment for nothing.

Hello K. Quinn,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our immediate attention. At Powur, we prioritize maintaining open, honest communication throughout and after installation. We understand that has not been your experience, and we'd like to apologize.

While our homeowners expect a faster project timeline, several factors outside our immediate control can delay completion. We appreciate your patience as our installer continued to iron out the details of your project. After a recent review of your project, we confirmed that your solar system system's inspection has passed as of January 12, 2024.

This company has made my solar experience a source of stress and nothing else. The solar failed inspection 4 different times and Powur will refuse to admit it is on them. Their blame their install partners and completely ignore the fact that my contract was with Powur and so therefore all responsibility falls on Powur. This whole process took over a year. Powur has refused to compensate me for the issues I have had and has fought that none of this is their responsibility. They blame their install partner and that is all. I will never recommend Powur and am regretting using them!

I entered into my contract on 9/26/22. My rep is Zac H from Solar Wholesale Partners. The contract states that completion should be within 180 days. Here we are one year later and the project is NOT permitted. They have just informed me that they are changing installation providers for the second time. I have reached out to find out the cost to date so I can cancel the contract. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I'm not receiving return calls from my REP who was very responsive during the sale process but now seems unavailable.

I live in Richmond Virginia. They have people soliciting in a mostly retired residential neighborhood at 6:30 at night.... Mind you, had the guy NOT walked directly through my grass and my neighbor's grass and front yard, AVOIDING the sidewalks, they would have seen the 'No Soliciting' sign kindly displayed on my front door.... As they approached me on my porch playing with my kids. Good grief, door to door is harassment and obnoxious.

Dear Ashlee,

We apologize for your unfortunate experience with solicitation and appreciate that you've brought this to our attention.

Our company dramatically emphasizes compliance and integrity among our independent contractors. That's why we provide them extensive training and information about Door-to-Door regulations and guidelines. In Virginia, for instance, a salesperson must hold a valid Solicitor's Permit to sell door-to-door, and all independent energy consultants on our platform must be knowledgeable about their market before engaging in any selling.

If you have any information about the sellers involved, please report it to our compliance team. You can reach them by emailing compliance@powur.com, and they will immediately conduct a thorough review and take the necessary steps to ensure that our contractors comply with our policies.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, and we look forward to fixing this matter as soon as possible.

Respectfully,

Ghosts. That is the best representation of this company. I'm in west Texas and I believe I have been screwed with a $40k system that is not going to help me. Since they supposedly finished a month ago and got permitted to turn on the system, nobody from any of the 3rd parties involved to the company that sold me the system will return emails or phone calls. I have no idea if we are producing power or if its just sitting there looking pretty. These people have no idea what customer service is.

Nothing, they are terrible. They install my system in March 2021 and it stopped working in June 2021, we are in April 2022 and it still has not been fixed. Customer service is terrible, they have no idea what they are doing and do not respond to emails or calls I have been paying double for the panels and my electric utility and they are not even taking responsibility for any of these costs.

They scammed us. They got paid, and I got stuck with the loan payment. 10 months since we signed on, and no power from the panels decorating my roof. Why? The plans and workmanship didn't pass the City inspection. I would love to get a call from Powur, but no that never happens either. I send email after email and get nothing in return.
