I was told the off set would be 100%. I did not know that meant I would pay my electric bill and get 0.1cent back per kw. So I get $13.00 discount off of my bill for what I generated even though off set is more to the grid than I take from the grid. I was told companies can even match but the ones that do not cover my area. Im hoping summer will have better rates.

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with the company. I’ve called multiple times about an ongoing issue. Was told I’d get a call back in a few days with an update of someone scheduling to come to my house and refunded for power my panels weren’t producing because of a breaker issue. I can no longer get in contact with my latest representative and have no resolve to my issues.

I live in a remote location so getting service can be many weeks and that is not really acceptable. If I had known that I would not have chosen them. I had a failure early on. I am a retired instrument engineer so I like to up with stuff. I don’t think the average person would have noticed. They didn’t tell me I had a problem but they did help me rectify the problem but it was a long, drawn out procedure.

Sales: above average person, however it took them 3 times to get the contract correct - 3 stars for sales. Installation: 5 starts independent inspector verified install, panels not exactly what we ordered (same performance) Qual of product and Service 4 stars Customer service unacceptable, too long and too expensive get fixed. after 39 days we had Tesla fix the problem for free. one star Due to the run-around and problem we had with service I can only give them 2 starts for trustworthiness.

It's a good system. I like the design and the ability to expand the system and that it is easy to install the panels. I didn’t have a good experience with their customer service. The process is long and drawn out and I was disappointed with them from the start.

The field people work is excellent. They even clean up after themselves. Overall, the Austin office people could be more satisfactory. It took months, including a letter to the president, to install a 3rd Tesla battery they sold. They rely too much on automation to communicate with customers. Some of it doesn't make sense, and the customer is never sure who or what position of the person or computer the communication is coming from. They seem to need to be more knowledgeable about Projection Management. Not one person was assigned primary accountability, and then the name was provided to the customer. It isn't good because they have solid performing products and good field people. The Austin office does a disservice to the field people.

The system was installed 15 months ago, designed to cover 88 percent of my energy usage but has only covered 30 percent. That's not Gene's fault. The cost of the panels plus my electric bill are above what I paid before the system was bought. Not happy will the production.
