I have a panel out and they have a 25-year warranty but they want to charge me a $500 service fee to come out and fix the solar panel for free. They also want me to switch the monitoring to enphase and n-phase wants to go ahead and charge me over $1,000 to install their networking component to go ahead and transmit the data to their particular office rather than just use the same data service that was originally installed. I thought I was buying a 25-year warranty on a nice product spent a lot of money on it and since then I now have to pay more money to continue to use the product it's not financially viable for me to pay $500 to fix something that they said was going to be fixed for free

Solar installed 12/22. Proposal stated electric bill to be $8/mo. when it has been an average savings under $8/m. Excuse was too many trees which were fully leafed out in September when proposal presented. Solar should never been installed. System checked twice, both times discovered not connected properly, checked again when SunPower went bankrupt and solar transferred to Enphase who discovered it was still not connected properly. Enphase took over monitoring and I get a $17/month credit. I asked Freedom Solar to remove the panels-they refused. With the loan amount+ electric each month there is no savings at all - just a whopping expense. No recommendation. I was swindled in every way and installers are incompetent.

generally do not leave reviews, but my experience with this company is so awful I feel I need to help others stay away. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company or sunpower. Don’t buy into a warranty as they essentially will find excuses not to cover anything. System production low? Well they were just estimates. Trying to get service after installation is pretty much nonexistent. Now the service may vary from state to state but I can guarantee the team in Texas are not trustworthy. Go with other companies and do not pay the premium that freedomsolar and sunpower ask for. The company is dishonest, and once they have your money they will not abide by contractual agreements and will ignore your requests for service.

I bought my system in 2019. When they sold me the system the micro inverters were from a company that went out of business in 2018. They never informed me they were installing parts from the company that is been out of business. now, six years later, I have three micro inverters not working. And they will not stand behind the 25 year warranty. And now they want to charge $100 a year to access the app.

My solar panels in my back office studio area are not registering on my My Sun power app. Sometimes some of them register, but they area lower than the panels on my main house. Y’all have sent one or two tech that were supposed to be able to get on the roof 4 or 5 times over the last 3 months, and none of them could get on the roof to trouble shoot the panels.

The savings and the rebate that was promised by the salesman was not true. Have not saved much on my electricity bill. Bill is still running up to 150 bucks a month. I’ve emailed my concerns and I get the same canned email advising the panels are working as they should. What a joke. Talk about buyer’s remorse! I would not recommend solar panels to anyone.

I have heard nothing from anyone since I signed up. No response to emails or to text messages. I have no idea what is going on. I won't be saving money as the initial sales guy lied to me. My electric bill was and is less than 100$ per month and their payment is $146 per month. How they are saving me money is beyond me. Will be trying to cancel this order come Monday.

Unfortunately, I have to update my review with this downgrade. To be fair, I have loved the performance of my system until this latest issue. It appears that once Freedom Solar has your money you can forget about any support from them. I have started having problems with my battery backup system so I tried to contact Freedom Solar service by phone, by chat, by email with no response or even acknowledgement that they will look at the issue to diagnose and fix the issue. When you call your put on hold and after a while the phone system cuts you off. They offer a call back option but they never call back. I've submitted service requests through email with no response. I've been on their chat where they promise to contact the service department but nothing! It's more than frustrating. Since then I've been in contact with Tesla support and they have connected me with another company to look at my outside. Bottomline, once Freedom takes your money don't expect them to live up to their commitment!!

I chose Freedom Solar because I took about 3 weeks to research different companies. I spoke with different salespeople and at the end it seemed to be the best choice. They said I would have the #1 panels that would cover my entire house. the system would be sufficient he said but when the day came, they lowered the number of panels. because I would have to pay more in insurance if I did not, I was never told This company assured me that my electric bill would be eliminated that my bill would be about 48 dollars and that is what the electric company charges for their services little did I know that my bill tripled because now I do not only pay my electric bill that is about $230-$330 my solar panels cost about $333 and when I contact them, they say they are working correctly I could understand that i still paid $100 plus my panels but not $250 plus my panels.

Headaches ever since I got involved with the company. Installed solar panels wrong acted like it was something we did to make the circuit breaker pop constantly to the point we didn’t turn it back on till they could get around to checking the system put A month later they finally do turn back on the breaker then say that’s what’s wrong. Of course breaker popped again. Called back and they acted like it was our fault. This whole time being charged for service and Duke electric also. Finally came out after sending them a picture of our fuse box and guess what! It was wired wrong 😑. No apologies or return of money we were paying double for four months! Stay away from this company if you want to keep your sanity. 😞 p.s. now it’s winter and it’s not putting out enough so gain we are paying double still!

Freedom Solar Power in Denver is a dumpster fire. If you need to have your panels removed/reinstalled, prepare to pay 40% more than other companies because you are locked into an exclusive contract due to the 25yr warranty. They won't even talk to you about scheduling until you pay up front, my roofing contractor threatened to terminate our contract because freedom was impossible to work with for planning. Three months later our roof has been installed, I've paid the solar re-install bill and they still will not even discuss my a re-install date. I'm filing a complaint will the Colorado Attorney General. This is a cash grab company with no integrity.

This company is a total disaster. If something can go wrong with solar panel installation, these guys will make sure it will go wrong. We signed the contract in September, and they promised to install them by the end of the year. We got all approvals, and then… I have been told that they do not have the panels in the warehouse. I told them they had to do something, get the panels otherwise the deal is off. They barely made it, installed it right before the New Year. But… the crew completely screwed up the work. First, they did not measure it correctly when installed the rails on one side of the house, so they had to cut and patch. Then they ran out of pipes for electrical wires to connect them to the box. They came few days later, but… since they banded incorrectly the last pipe, they wanted to do a zig-zag connection. I told them NO. Just take it out, cut it properly and put it in such a way that there is only one turn. Well, they finally got it done right. But… After they left, I noticed they left some tools on my garage roof. I decided to check the gutters on one side of the house where it is just 1-story, and I found a bunch of staff there like gloves, metallic parts, plastic boles (the very same bottle I gave them with water to drink), etc. that can easily get stuck in the gutter which btw connects to the underground drainage system I have. Furthermore, apparently, they left a drill on my chimney!!! When they came to take the drill, I specifically asked to check the gutter on the other side of the house, so they said it was clear. But… few weeks later we had a heavy rain, and of course I got a leak!! You get a leak, you call a roofer. The roofer told me that everything is clear except that one leg that holds the panel, which is not properly sealed, and it is right there where the leak is. And apparently, they found another plastic bottle in that gutter, exactly where I asked the crew to check when they came back for the drill!!! I must mention that my roof is 1-year-old, in perfect condition, and there have been no leaks since it was replaced. I called Freedom Solar and they sent technicians to take a look. The technicians confirmed that the roofer just applied a sealer to cover the lag, and they checked everything else and did not find any other place it could leak. They took pictures and told me that we must wait and see if the leak stops, there is no other way to check it. We waited for a couple of months, had plenty of heavy rain and never had a leak again. I called back and talked to Lazaro B asking to come and fix the wall which got damaged by the leak. He sent again the technicians. The very same technicians came, they remembered my case, checked it around, no leaks, so they told me they will send somebody to fix the wall because obviously the problem was with not properly sealing the leg. But… Mr. Lazaro B from his office had a different opinion. He wrote to me that technicians could not figure out the reason because the sealing was put not by them but by a roofer!!! Excuse me??? Do I have from now own call Freedom Solar every time I get a leak just because they installed panels on my roof??? Besides, the roofer just put the sealer on the base of the leg, this is all what he did, and technicians could see it. The leak stopped, so the leg was the problem and the technician confirmed that was the problem!! Well, still battling them about this. Never deal with these guys!!! Artyom Nahapetyan

Freedom Solar is not a good company. It has been 7 months and I had to do all the followup, calling our public service company (PSC) to move the project along. The contract is one sided - you pay a penalty if Freedom Solar does not do their job. READ your contract CAREFULLY. Freedom Solar failed to send the complete application our PSC. I kept getting robo calls from Freedom Solar on how things were going - same old story, "we are waiting on the PSC". I ask to speak to a manager - they file a request and no one ever calls you back. Every time I call customer service I get a new person who doesn't know the project and says something totally not aligned with my project and then I spend time educating them....they say "oh" and then say they will file a request. And this circle continues over and over and over. There is no project manager that will answer or call you back. You are at the mercy of the robot customer service who does not know you from the next. They follow their script...and that's all you get. When I called the PSC after 4 months delay, they said they were waiting on a one line diagram that Freedom Solar failed to provide. That caused another month delay. After waiting another month with NO word from Freedom Solar, no apology about their error, I called PSC to check on progress. They said it's already approved and they notified Freedom Solar thru their "portal". I called Freedom Solar, no call back...3 times...no calls or emails...no communication. I called 3 more times, speaking to various customer service people to get SOMEONE to call me back and schedule the install. No one has called me back for 2 weeks. So I am leaving this report to notify others that Freedom Solar is NOT a good company. They have not upheld the contract in good faith. BEWARE of this company!

I went with Freedom Solar Power after talking to numerous solar companies for quite a bit of reasons one of them being customer service. After having the system installed one year later I can definitely say that the customer service is well below any standards I've experience. Service was great pre-sale, but once the system is installed they will leave you hanging. I've had numerous issues getting service when needed on my system but the latest issue is really aggravating. I've called customer service three times, emailed twice over the course of three weeks and have yet to get any sort of substantial response or someone out here to fix my system. If you want good service you wont get it here. I talked to a manager named Tim M who refused to answer any questions around how i can receive better service, continually talked down to me, gave me no reassurances, and I'm still being hung out to dry with no follow-up or help. Literally on an island with a system that is broken with no help. Full disclosure I rarely write a review. Service has to be either really bad or really good. Take my word on it...The service from Freedom Solar Power is really bad.

I clicked on a button for the Tesla Solar site saying I would like to know more and then these guys from Freedom started calling me several times per day while at work. 5 times in less than a day and a half. When I finally answered and asked the guy to stop calling me he was rude, condescending and laughed at me. He refused to transfer the call and told me to respond online so here I am. These guys are jerks with the attitude and behavior of stalkers. Do not click on a button saying you would like to know more about Tesla Solar unless you want these guys to call you repeatedly and speak to you rudely.

We would like to write the review to warn a potential customers of very poor customer’s service at FREEDOM SOLAR POWER. The company does not give you all information needed and do not care of you as a customers. 1) Show up for panel installation September 13th 2) October the 7th show up to install Tesla power wall and the rest of equipment (dispute with power company about extension switch) They did not perform installation 3) October 12th second attempt to install power wall. After installing 1 box outside the house and extention switch installer said “I feel under the weather” and did not finished 4) October 18th third attempt. Instead of coming at 8am installer showed up at 2pm (no call) Start installation which supposed to be done in 4hours but finished after 10pm. In the meantime around 4pm the installer drilled the hole in our main gas pipe line. Just to make it clear. We know things happen but the way we deal with it shows the respect to customer. The company was informed by installer right away but till 7 pm nobody even call to address the issue. After my intervention and calling the salesman plumber showed up around 10pm just to tell me it is a big job and he cannot do it. We were left with no gas for 3days. All the time contact with Jacob Petterson-project manager in Houston and Mark M In Austin was close to non existing. The only person tried to help was Colton D and sales person Brian C For every shutting down and turning on the power we were charged by power company (TNMP) which made together $384.36 instead of one charge $128.12. We were told that the money will be paid back but till today nothing and nobody contacts us even though we sent the bill. This is just part of the problem. During installation of 2 power walls one of them has light indicator not working. Installer informed us that it is just upgrading. Week after that I called headquarter in Austin complaining about whole process. I was switched to Mark Mariano to whom I addressed the issues. October 21st I sent an email to Mark M about power wall light issue. NO answer. Text message. No answer. Call. No answer. So, I called Tesla technical support. They checked my power wall through the app. and informed me that my batteries are drained to 0% for 4 days already and after 10 days they will be nothing but garbage. I told them that I was not allowed to turn system on by FREEDOM SOLAR POWER because process of all inspections was not finished. After speaking with Colton I turned the power on. Now I am waiting for front panel replacement. I was promised to receive over 1200.00 check after installation and now I cannot even get reimbursement for the power shot of and on. I still get more bills from Electric Power Company and do not know what it is for. NOBODY EVER EXPLAINED ANYTHING. Now I am really worry about warranty service if needed.

I was offered a 24 panel, battery back-up system for $46K. They quoted me an interest rate of 3.59%. Sounded great so I said ok. I then find out that the condition for the 3.59% rate is that the price be increased to $58K. I told them to go pound said. Talk about being screwed! This is unbelievable that a company would try and slip that by a customer. No way would I deal with that type of supplier.
