We asked for a system to be designed to fit our total and future needs including charging for an EV. I was pleased with the design and installation but the time between installation and powering up the system was way too long and not acceptable. Fluent should develop a better process for working with the local authorities and companies to get a system up and running. Our system was installed in March and did not get running until the end of July. We also have not received a total cost/investment and total financed amount in writing. Everything is conveyed electronically but there needs to be hard copies. It remains to be seen if our investment was worth it.

This is a horrible company and they have no idea what they are doing. Took months to finally get the system working for inspection. Issue after issue over the battery and the wiring of the system. They never have anyone that knows anything about battery. They should not be selling something they know nothing about. And now after the system has been finally running for 4 months the battery stops working. I called the support line to have someone take a look at the issue as the system is not even a year old. I am now being charged $350 to have someone come out and look at the issue. They tell me I have to pay this “deductible” to validate the technician is “paid”. And all before they even come out to look at the issue. This company has horrible customer support and they try to scam you. Do no do business and go somewhere else.

Reading some of the reviews I agree with most. Stay away from fluent solar. They don't tell you the whole truth. I'm still trying to talk to them about how many of my panels are working. They were supposed to put them on my garage roof facing west but instead told me the engineer told them that the front of my house facing north would produce just as much solar. I found out later that the guys took the easy way out instead of going into the attic above the garage to run conduit They decided to just run the conduit over the peak to connect the north facing roof with the south facing roof. I haven't been able to get through to them for months. Either there's a technical problem with their phones or they never call you back. Do your research, I wish I had. I'm still paying my electric company due to not providing enough through solar.

Late August: Salesman knocks on my door. I’m interested and move forward. The process was enjoyable and went smoothly, everything else was a complete s#!t show of incompetence. I was assigned a P.M. to handle my job. We met and discussed my desires. I knew that my mast would not meet code and we needed more room in my breaker box, so I decided to add that to the contract. My P.M. referred this request to the main office. I got emails from local electricians for quotes. Fluent couldn’t seem to figure out how to add the cot to the project, so I spent $7k out of pocket to get the mast and meter base upgraded. P.M. sent photos of work to office. Install date is now set to Nov. 8. Next week I get a text requesting photos of the new mast and meter base. I respond to contact the P.M. who already sent them. Later, I get a call from an electrician to provide an estimate for the electrical work. I get another request from Fluent for photos of new electrical work. Install date is pushed back 2 weeks due to heavy work load. A couple days before original install date my P.M. texts to find out where I want my equipment dropped off for my install on the 8th. I ask if he’s kidding. He was not informed of the install change. I get another call from an electrician to quote mast and meter, and another request for pictures from Fluent so they can set the install date. I respond to that request with my project has been approved to move forward and the install date has been established for a several weeks. Materials dropped off day before install. Day of install, it snows in the morning. Installers can’t work due to heavy snow fall. They leave at around 8:30. At 10:00 they come back to pick up batteries they left charging on my porch. It is now sunny and the snow has melted. They call Fluent to get approval to install but can’t contact anyone since the office is not open yet (I’m in Eastern time office is Mountain). They leave. Later that day I get a call telling me my install date has been postponed and I’ll get an email with a new date. I call my P.M. only to find out Fluent eliminate all P.M. positions and he can’t do anything. I call Fluent’s office and talk to several people who can’t do anything. A manager calls back due to my anger while talking to the previous customer support agents. The new install date is Dec. 8th. Two Installers show up at 9:30AM finish in the dark at 6:00PM. The previous three installers could have completed the job on the original date, but didn’t. Two weeks later I call the city to see why I haven’t had an inspection yet. I’m told one wasn’t requested. I call Fluent to schedule one. A week later the system is inspected and only passes because I tell the inspector I’ll put the missing warning stickers on where they go. Now I’m ready to turn on my system but don’t know how because nobody bothered to show me or leave literature. I have to learn on the system manufacturer’s website (SolarEdge) and local electrical utility company. I turn the system on with no joy. I call SolarEdge and a technician had to sync the inverter to the panels. I turn the system on and it works. At this point, my panels have been on my property for a month on my roof for over two weeks and not produced a single kilowatt of electricity. Early January I receive a call from SolarEdge telling me that a bank of 6 panels are not responding and they’ll call fluent to come out and check it. Two weeks later a technician checks them and says they’re fixed. Those 6 panels work at about 1/10 efficiency as any of the others and usually not at all. The inverter company has issued another request to repair the 6 non-functioning panels as of April 2023. Still no response From Fluent.

In the beginning Fluent Solar was great. Before I signed all the papers I was able to get a hold of someone to answer questions and validate my concerns. Now that the panels are on my house I cannot get anyone to call me back. The panels are not producing even half of what they told me they would produce. For 6 weeks I have been trying to talk to someone about this. I was told 6 weeks ago that they would cut down trees if needed. When I asked for it in writing they said that wasn’t necessary that they will do what they need to do to get the panels where they said they will produce. I have had the panels for 3 months. 6 weeks ago I started asking about them cut it g down trees and every week I get the same thing, “let me look at your file, call my boss and I’ll get back to you today or tomorrow “ I have started requesting to speak to a supervisor and have been told “there is no one for you to talk to”. DO NOT GO THROUGH FLUENT SOLAR

This company screwed me over by not knowing the logistical basics of what they got me in to. They installed solar panels on my house only for me to find out that my electric meter was placed on a part of my house that violates Idaho Power Statues. Now if I want solar power, I need to pay 11,000 to move my meter to the front of the house. How did this company not foresee this? It's like it was their first time doing business. Their contracts are specifically designed to screw over customers if anything goes wrong. I can't afford this. I might lose my home. Thanks Fluent Solar. Do not use this company.

These people RUINED the look of my home by having no rhyme or reason as to why they installed the panels the way they did (it ruined the appearance of my home). So, I made them come back, and the manager who came out noticed the install team had dropped a panel, which busted (but they still installed it)! The manager ordered a replacement that has been sitting outside for 2 weeks. I called them today, and they didn't know anything about it. I would attribute the problem that everyone is having.... poor labor. However, the same was true with communications, scheduling, and manufacturing. When you call them, scheduling acts like you are a terrible strain on their day, and they do not want to talk to you.

The installation and permit process went well. My inverter however is idle. It's taking way to long for customer service to get someone to fix it. They say they are working to schedule but haven't done it yet. Very disappointing.

My first problem is they promise more then they can deliver. I was told I would be up and running between 60 and 90 days. My install was 84 days after the contract was signed. The install crew was great, but the invertor they sent was bad. It took 35 days to get that switched out. I had to call to try and get the inspection because I used to work for the City and could get it faster. Another 26 days to get the power company to finish. My project manager had stopped contacting me I have not heard from him November 17th, he never replied to my last txt of phone call So instead of 60 -90 days it took 135 days. The finance company called me, thinking my system was all set up. I informed them it was not and I was not happy at all.

Terrible experience beginning to end. Part of the install, they agreed to remove my solar water heater and panels which they used a third party ( they use 3rd parties to complete all their work). The contractor said that there was more work than fluent had contacted him to do, fluent then finds a new contractor to do the work and doesn't tell the previous contractor. I end up having to tell the contractor that fluent is using another contractor. On install of the solar panels, the contractor installed a frame around my back door of electrical conduit. Once I saw what the contractor was doing, I reached out to fluent and they said to let him finish and they'll review after install, I sent fluent pictures and they agreed to move the conduit to a more logic location after the contractor had drilled holes into my brick wall and hike through my roof. They filled the holes with caulk and it looks really bad. Fluent had said they would do an efficiency improvement as part of my install, but they wouldn't do it for a couple months after the solar was installed. About a month before the scheduled date, the contractor that was to complete that work contacted me and said they ended their relation with fluent and would no longer be doing the work. Fluent said they would refund that money, but it's now been over a month with no communication about a resolution. To summarize, the are terrible communicators, they are burning through contractors fast, they do bad quality, they charged me for services they did not provide. I am glad the solar is installed, but given the experience I've had, I am worried they will not stand behind their product if anything goes wrong.

Complete and total nightmare. Two botched installations, which included brawls between employees, electrical conduit dangling off my roof, garbage strewn about, total lack of preparedness (tiny ladder for a 3 story home), and no response from their headquarters. Fluent knew the panels were installed incorrectly for 3 months and a panel flew off the roof on Christmas. And, now my roof is leaking! Fluent’s proposed solution to this problem (on rare occasion when they actually decide to call me back) is to let a new team of installers redesign my system on the fly and just hope it meets their production estimate. RUN AWAY!!!

I signed up with Fluent solar in March 2022, Sales rep great, install tech great. They had to replace my inverter which took weeks to be replaced. So after 6 months of waiting in September I " FINALLY" got solar on. After talking to sales rep. It took wayyyy toooo longggg for the process which it should've been done months ago.

If ZERO stars were an option, that would be my choice. The sales rep was GREAT, but after she got all the ink on paper, that was the END of the "fun". I signed up in early March 2022 and just cancelled the deal today in SEPTEMBER 2022. I own 11 acres in the "county" where there are NO ZONING laws. I had "lotted off" an acre for my elderly Mother to build a home next to me. She ended up remarried and moved to her husbands home, so I "bought" my property back from my Mom. IT is the middle of the 11 acres I own, and next door to my home. ALL my property is in MY NAME alone. We were doing a "ground mount" because there was a good, sunny spot behind my home on a small hill (and I did not want solar panels mounted on my very new and very nice metal roof). Well, much like the ants that couldn't make it around a fallen leaf in the way of their normal path, Fluent couldn't make it around the "pointless" property boundary. I offered to do whatever I needed to "dissolve" the property line, or sign a document absolving them of any repercussions building the array near this pointless property line. The communication was abysmal, and nothing I offered as a solution was followed up on. The equipment sat next to my driveway for 6 weeks until I finally "pulled the plug"; actually, Fluent had put in a cancellation request 5 hours before I did, simply on my request to discuss "unwinding the project", with ZERO effort to talk to me or discuss any options. I would have preferred it was worked out as I was willing to do whatever needed done. It wasn't as if they were fighting ME, I was TRYING to help the situation anyway I could. So the myriad complaints on here about their "back office" support is sadly, too true. I CANNOT RECOMMEND this company on a project as large and costly as a solar install...

Don’t do it. There is almost no follow through in communication - either with you, the customer, or internally with the company and affiliates - and the customer is no longer a priority after the purchase is made. You will spend hours on the phone on hold or repeating your questions to someone new, only to be forgotten about once you hang up. With very rare exceptions, they will not contact you to keep you apprised of the progress of your job or status of necessary service. My ratio worked out to be that about 10% of the reps I spoke to actually cared and followed through. If the customer must call repeatedly to persuade the company to do what they promised, it is not a company worth doing business with. Choose another option.

DO NOT do business with this company. My wife and I built a new home and Fluent only had a utility bill for Oct-Nov and some of December to calculate data off of. Rather than add more panels just to be safe, they sold us on 12 panels needed. We got 13 just to be safe and the panels won't even generate enough power to cover my home usage during the cooler months. My concern came when the first 2 months after powering the panels on, our utility bill was $45 each month and then my latest utility bill was $106 for June-July. I have been communicating via email and I just keep getting told the same thing over and over again......that the panels generate enough power per the projection and we should lower usage blah blah. I spoke to them for an hour today and kept getting told the same thing. I was then told that we could start an entire new project to add more panels at OUR EXPENSE but that nothing else could be done. When I told them that they can come and take the panels off, they said that they can do that but we would still be paying for the entire loan. They must think i'm crazy because if I have to pay for it, why would I remove it? They aren't willing to do ANY DISCOUNT or anything. Kept being told "At this point we are just going around in circles and there is nothing more I can do" We will be consulting with our attorney about this matter. F U FLUENT! YOU SUCK BALLS!

We signed our agreement w/Fluent Jan 2021, and were told this whole process would only take about 90 days. We are now approaching a year and still nothing. Not only do we find ourselves having to call Fluent about once a week or every couple of weeks, we make no progress and discover that nothing is being done on their end. Twice we've been told that "the person who handled this part of XYZ of this process quit or went back to school or you name it, so it was never done". Obviously these sorts of responses are not pleasing and continue to push progress behind. When we called about a month and a half ago, after they failed the inspection twice, and damaged a roof beam, they stated that they were now waiting on TECO, our electric company. When we called sometime after, again we were told they were waiting on TECO. When I called TECO a few days ago, they stated that Fluent never even submitted anything and if they had, they could simply provide the enrollment number. When I called Fluent support, literally minutes after that call, there was no enrollment number because, as I was told me "the girl who did it left and there was no way of tracking that." Again, their systems didn't catch this, their processes failed, and here we are. Understand our frustration and regret w/choosing an out of state company to do this for us. I can list a ton of other "promises" given by the salesman who sold us on Fluent, but that will be for a later date. In the meantime, ANY ASSISTANCE in moving this along properly and in line with what TECO requires, is greatly appreciated.

I am so frustrated with this company. Everything seemed to be going well in the beginning. The sales rep had a great pitch. The installation of the actual panels went well. And then no one showed up to do an inspection and now we've been trying for over a month to get answers out of Fluent on when that inspection will be rescheduled. These panels are just glorified roof decorations right now. My husband and I have both called Fluent numerous times and we get the same answer of "we'll get back to you" but no on ever gets back to us. I've emailed them numerous times and am constantly told someone will reply in 1 business day, but no one ever does. At this point, it feels like we're never going to have functioning panels. I'm also pissed at how much we could've been saving on energy bills over the past month. And we have to start paying on the loan for these panels next month, so it's likely we'll be paying for that and our Xcel bill, which the sales rep swore up and down that we wouldn't have to do. I had high hopes about this being a smooth process, but the lack of communication and frustration involved has just left me disheartened and pissed off.

We were so excited to start our solar journey and to reduce our footprint. However, things have not turned out as we hoped. 1) Customer service is helpful, but only to a certain point. You can call and ask questions and they tell you then will get with the respective team and call you back. They never call back. We have had to call a multitude of times, spoke to numerous representatives over four months to get any answers. 2)The sales representative (Jonathan Turner) was nice and seemed genuine. We were concerned that if the panels would not produce enough that we would then be stuck to pay the electric company and then the loan for the panels. He assured us that IF the panels did not produce enough to cover our electric bill (after a few months) that Fluent would install additional panels at no cost to ensure that the right amount of energy was produced. Also, that the app would tell us everything we would need/want-How much each panel produces, overall production, and consumption 3) The app can do those things we were told if everything is set up within the system correctly AND if you PAY EXTRA for a consumption meter. For the first four months we had to call and ask why the app wasn't showing everything that we were told and why it was producing less than it should have. Come to find only through my constant inquiries over multiple months that they were able to see that six of the panels were not hooked up. Therefore, our system wasn't able to produce the max amount it should have. And if we wanted we can pay for the additional device to see production vs consumption 4) Eight months into this we are still paying our electric bill PLUS the solar panel loan. This has equated to more each month than we ever paid just for just the electric bill. We reached out to customer service and the finalization team to assist. We have come to find out that they will not add more panels to bring our system up to par for our home. That we were undersold what we actually needed and if we want the proper amount we need that we will require to pay for more panels. Overall, customer service isn't responsive/helpful, you as the customer/consumer must do all the follow-up, and the sales representative lies. This company isn't worth your time or money.

Utah Fluent Solar Customer Quepos, P

Salespeople - say your price of utilities has gone up every year, so this is a good investment. We checked and the utilities have not gone up in the 3 years since we bought our house. Brought in the “VP of sales” to close us - which is apparently not a position with the company when we called about him later “VP of sales” assured us could deliver what they promised - 18 panels that we needed, even though we checked with him AT LEAST 3 times because we had a 2nd opinion from a different solar company that said the city laws would only allow for 11 panels on our roof size. They told us they would install in September the latest(we signed up in June); in October we started calling them since they hadn’t installed or communicated with us. Installed HALF of what we signed for as a complete job! We had to call them to find out(they would probably have charged us for the 18 panels if we hadn’t)! They NEVER ONCE TOLD US THE PLANS HAD CHANGED BEFORE THE INSTALL TO GET OUR PERMISSION TO PROCEED. Said city won’t allow more. Said the rep submitted a 9 panel plan even though the contract we saw and the only plans we saw were for 18 panels. Apparently Fluent can completely change the entire plan after you sign!!! When we complained and said we don’t want this, told us put a lien on our house. They do answer when you call, however almost every time they couldn’t help us on the phone and said “I will personally call you back in 48 hours” and never did. We had to keep calling and threaten to sue to get them to actually help us. We decide the Christian thing to do is not sue. A month after install so the end of December now(we have 11 panels--all that the city allows like the other solar company told us) we pull up the Fluent app- it says 1 panel not working! After 3 weeks of calling and threatening they come out to check. Tell us 3 panels are unplugged. So app and panels don’t work that we are paying for. We’ve talked to other solar companies now: and have learned we paid way too much.

These people never call back, they aren't forthcoming with the steps it will take to get solar going. We were really hopeful to get our solar in quickly, unfortunately that was not our experience. It started with being told our solar would be installed within a month of us signing the contracts. In reality it was 5 months later that it was installed. We kept hitting these walls with employees saying after this step you will be good to go and we can get your solar turned on. It ended up that 2-3 people showed up at my door for various things to do with the solar installation. And then light bulbs and a new thermometer unit showed up at my house with no explanation. When I called to see what that was about I was told I had to hire a 3rd party person to have that installed. Once our solar was installed and inspections were done we were waiting on some thing called the PTO, it was sent to us so I told Fluent I had it, but they wouldn't accept mine, they were certain they would get their own copy, two weeks of calling and no PTO in sight. After I sent that to them I was told just the portal setup was next to get the system going. That took another three weeks of me calling twice a week. These people would always promise to text me with an update, or call me back. Never happened. Even the manager was a flake and gave me a false email address. Its finally all set up but it was super frustrating getting to this point.

Do not use this organization! I had my panels installed in mid-June and it’s now mid-November and I still cant use my solar. It was finished with inspection over a month ago and after several calls and emails, still NO response. I have an appointment for an attic fan and insulation install on December 8, but I don’t really believe anything I hear. Had they told us how long it would take, we may have waited. I am now paying Xcel and the loan! I had a cash referral for these people but because of the issues we have had, I told them to go elsewhere. I think I have been scammed and will start suing. They’ve left me no choice. Lisa Thompson

Fluent installed my Solar a little over a year ago. The fact that my roof was already worn and patched in many areas was never brought to my attention . Now they want $3,000 plus to remove and reinstall the solar system so I can have the roof replaced. That’s the price even with them installing the new roof . I would never have installed the solar on top of a worn roof had I known just how bad it was. I trusted them to be knowledgeable and working in my best interest but obviously not. Don’t trust this company. Get another bid before you sign with them.

I only give Fluent Solar 1 star because I had to in order to write this review. I have never been more disrespected then when dealing with Fluent Solar customer service. I initially purchased a system which should have covered me over 100%, but yet received a True Up bill of over $600. Fluent did own the problem at first and after weeks of back forth agreed to install 3 more panels, but that still was not going to bring me up to the coverage in which I purchased. it has now been 8 months and I am still waiting for Fluent to install the panels as they keep dragging their feet for some unknown reason. To add to it, an inverter went out on one of my panels. I put in a claim which they immediately sent me an inverter, but 3 months later I am still waiting for it to be installed as well. I could not be more disappointed in this company and its employees as they have shown nothing, but careless regard to my situation. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Installed system in Oct. 20128. System is producing about 40 to 45% of required usage. Salesman said production would be about 90+%. Also told me i would possibly have one payment at end of year of up to about $100. Installers also did not install panels in engineering design location. None of these claims have materialized, I am now still paying $80 average electric bills and also a new $150.00 solar panel system payment. I was averaging only $100. per month for electricity to begin with. I would not recommend this Company to anyone.

0 stars for these CROOKS! Don’t work with them! They are a bunch of crooks and they are terrible! You will be sitting with panels on your roof till they feel like getting anything done! The lady janalee is the most ignorant and rude lady to deal with & for sure will not get anything done for you!! Fluent only cares about themselves and their $$ ,,, & they are the 1st to try to sell you something to lock you into a contract & they won’t keep their part of contract up but expect you as a homeowner to want to work with them! I repeat don’t use them as a solar provider,, theirs 1,000’s other loyal companies out their that will look after yours and your FAMILYS BEST INTEREST,, other than just making you & your home just another number#. Their(fluent solar) salesman all have no sales license and their salesman will tell you anything if it means lying just to get you to commit... they are FRAUDLENT by using other people’s SOCIAL SECURITY # on other people’s homes to pass them with a good credit score(650 or better) to illegally take loans out for another homeowners home. .... I REPEAT,, stay away from this companie,,,,, if you still choose to go with them after I’ve shared some of mine and my colleagues experience,,,, then Hahaha,, you deserve to get RIPPED OFF by some DISHONEST, UNREALABLE, Fraudulent and misleading companies like FLUENT SOLAR. All Their fluent at is RIPPINNG PEOPLE OFF. This is a UTAH COMPANIE that’s doing work in California and know nothing! Complaints on FLUENTS LABOR LICENSE are in affect on this crooked solar companie & their cheating ,FRAUDULENT salesman’s and the companie it’s self for training or teaching them to mislead & lie to homeowners just for a lowsy sale!

They never got it working properly until I helped them. Install was absolutely horrible. They had no idea what they were doing. They have no customer support.

One star because there isn't anything LOWER! Don't do it! Run - it sounds like a great idea. Sounds like you'll help the environment and save money at the same time. My electric bill is HIGHER than EVER before and now I found out that the panels are "off" for some reason??? No communication - no return phone calls - no customer service WHATSOEVER! I rue the day I ever let Fluent Solar in my home.

The installation was super fast and easy.. there was an issue after installation that kept my panels from working for a few weeks but eventually it was resolved.

I’m not really sure if I am benefiting from using solar. I’m not sure how to read the info in the app. There was no hands on instructions on how to tell if the system is even working. I had one follow up call that I could not take due to work and haven’t been able to reach anyone to assist me.

Not all contractual agreements have been completed. Barely two weeks since xcel energy turned on system. Not to mention 4 inches of snow on panels resulting in 3 to 4 days of no electrical production. Not good timing and too soon to give high marks to any company that has not completed their contractual obligations and the customer hasn't seen or been given enough time to experience the benefits/results of an installed system.

What ever you do do not use this company! It is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with! Their one day install has turned int a two month ordeal with more no shows and no calls than I can count! And system is still not completed .Customer service is absolutely horrible! Save yourself a major headache and use someone else ! Totally dissatisfied and regret getting involved with fluent solar!

Since the beginning it's been nothing but a nightmare. If you do run into problems, good luck getting a hold of anyone. I've sent a good 10+ messages and maybe got 1 or 2 replies. Been online since January and still pulling power from the grid daily. They damaged my foundation during installation and just left it. They left wires and all kinds of stuff just laying on my ground. 2 of my 12 panels don't work. Trust me. Don't go with fluent solar. You will regret it. Worst company I've ever dealt with. They do not stick behind their products.

Fluent Solar is a joke. They installed my panels in June 2021 and as of March 2022 they are still not up and running. Weekly phone calls to the company has proven moot and full of unmet promises. When they say they will return your call, I have not had even one call returned. I am now retaining an attorney to file a lawsuit against Fluent Solar. I am responsible for making the loan payments for panels that are not even up and running while Fluent has been paid for a job that has not been completed. STAY FAR AWAY FROM FLUENT SOLAR!

I have had the Fluent Solar system for over a year. We bought a battery with our system. To date, the system has failed to work properly. Only half of the panels work. Javier, an employee with Fluent will not set the battery to charge 100% 7 days a week. It only charges 50% on weekdays. The customer service with this outfit is terrible and I do not recommend them. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will wait to see if that helps. My next step will be to contact my attorney to see if he can get Fluent Solar to complete their job.

Kelsch ,

Don’t do it!!! We had our solar panels installed August 21, 2020, and we are still waiting for them to get up and running. I have called multiple times to figure out what’s going on and they tell me they are waiting for this or that. They say they will call me back and get things figured out and never do. They have scheduled days to come and don’t show up. They promised a rebate snd we still haven’t got it. We are now paying the power bill and out solar bill, so we are not saving money at all.

Very terrible at communicating. I would never go through this process again. If I could choose to not have the panels I would.
