Friendly staff (reception, salesman, and electrician), rated 1 star as installation is still ongoing (almost double the time we were told), electrician didn't bother showing on the first install causing further delays, nobody seems to be following up with next steps in the installation process. We're always having to nudge someone to get things done. Finally, staff rarely return calls if you leave a voicemail. Overall can't recommend as it's been an uphill battle to get anything done, not to mention a breaker box replacement that was promised to us upon signing (since ours is a recall known for arcing) was never delivered. The salesman never documented it, so who knows how much time this box has left or if it's going to cause damage down the road to our system.

The installation process was full of delays and mistakes on Elan Solar side and they refuse to do anything about it. It's been ridiculous trying to work with their customer care team. Go with another company that will care about you

I signed up with Elan solar at the beginning of Augusto 2022 and iam making my second payment for the loan I got for the solar panels and I am still waiting for the panels to be connected to the power. No one calls me to let me know how much longer this is going to take. I keep calling the sales agent but all I get is that they are working on it. I should have read the reviews before signing anything. Now I am stuck paying double what I was paying before and I don't know what I'm supposed to do from here. This is one of my greatest regrets.

I am very frustrated with this company. When we purchased our solar panels we also purchased a back-up battery. This was in Oct 2020. When they installed the solar panels they never installed the outlet for the batter. We don’t even have a cord for the battery! After almost a year of emails and phone calls they have still never resolved this problem with us!

The guy was good in putting them in installing but he was like really bad at explaining stuff and then when we tried calling to ask questions he just never replied he never answered his phone. It was a long process. We have a lot of questions that they don't answer and the bills are the same so that doesn't really help. And they never give me information on the solar panels like the app, they never give me anything on that. And the customer service was pretty pretty bad cause he never answered the phone.

We were promised tax credit for the solar panels and payments below $80.00 when we first signed up for them. Now it is just a hassle to have and we still have to have Rocky Mountain Power Electric which is pointless. Our electric bill is now about $300.00/month. The solar panels are not needed and there's no way to cancel them.

They need to improve their customer support and return phone calls. The equipment seems to be working fine but I had to call the power company myself to get it turned on. No one there activated it or returned my phone calls. The installation process was terrible.

I pay too much for the service and they have the worst customer service I’ve ever had. There is no support. It took eight or nine months and I didn’t hear from them at all. For the installation they came and put the solar panels up and that is it. They didn’t explain anything. They were super messy. I am trying to get rid of them.

My experience with Elan was really bad - I didn't like it. It took them a really long time to hook up the system and they had so many problems. They promised so many things and didn't keep up. Then they were supposed to refund me money because I was paying my electric bill. They never refunded me the money. I won't recommend them.

When this LLC, doing business as Elan Solar in Utah, worked on my home they took a really long time, nearly 6 months, didn't get the permit on the first two tries, installed the system different than the panels manufacturer instructions. This past winter, tracks were pulled out of the roof and bent, 7 of my 39 panels were damaged in the heavy snow and the electrical going to the panels was ripped out of the panels and hanged on the side of the house. The manufacturer would not cover the broken panels despite them having plenty of resistance against the weight of the snow because Elan did not install them vertically and did not the right know or enough fasteners on the tracks. Upon attempting to contact them over the past few months, they do not answer their phones, do not respond to emails, will not share their supervisor names, and give out false phone numbers to customers. They do not back up their products. Do not purchase solar from this company or you will regret your decision. Check out reviews on BBB and google so you can see it is not just a problem I and my neighbors have had.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Avoid this company at all cost. Pretty sure they are a scam company. Sales pitch and Communication was amazing up until the installation. Jonathan O was my Sales person. Once he/they get you signed up with the credit union (Which was also a little odd and sketchy), and they get that sale, all communication and follow up stops. It has been more than a month since they installed the units, and they still have not submitted to Rocky Mountain Power for an inspection. And i cannot get them to answer my calls, return voicemails or emails, and they are never at their office of record in Orem. As for the loan, I was told to use Sunlight Financial. As soon as I filled out all my personal info, I started getting email and calls from an All In Credit Union from Florida stating the loan is through them. I am now getting invoices from the credit union, and my system still in not on line and working. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Their sales reps talk a good game, however, the actual install team is severely lacking. It has been 12 months since they were paid to install our system and 2 months since they installed the panels but still have not installed the actual battery bank which was 1/4 of the cost of our system. I have had to call them multiple times every week to get any information and they keep scheduling appointments to asses what needs to happen to resolve the situation that their techs just keep no showing. Their battery installs are apparently all managed by a single person. This person is next to impossible to reach since they will take random multi hour lunch breaks and will just leave early or show up late. I have left dozens of requests for call back over the last 10 months and he has not called me back a single time. I have even tried emailing him and have never received a single response.

When you look at these reviews, you will see some good ones and some bad ones. The bad ones are very bad. So ask yourself, do you want to take the gamble of doing business with Elan Solar and ending up in one of those bad situations? My advice: Avoid Elan Solar. If you already signed the paperwork, you can still get out if they have not installed the panels. Get out. These guys suck. I can't figure if they are incredibly incompetent or just lowlifes. It kind of doesn't matter. If you do business with them, you are likely to regret it. They promised I'd be all hooked up in November. It's February and still nothing, except the bills. Bills for solar, which isn't working, and bills from Rocky Mountain Power. They are hard to reach and when you reach them, they lie. I've reported them to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection and am exploring lawsuit. Don't take the gamble. Avoid Elan Solar.

Do not use this company!!!!. Installation of panels September 2022, had to wait for Battery. Couldn't get them to answer phone and email enquiries, no communication. Failed Sandy City inspection early February and haven't been back to fix. We are paying $171 to power company and $200 on the loan for a system that isn't completed. No communication and they are probably a fraud.

I have never had such poor service from any company. I signed a contract with them on 10/10/2022, they installed panels, then stopped, I called to see why they stopped and they said they were waiting on final inspection, I called back again and again and it was always the same, blaming in on Rocky Moutain and final inspection, now they are trying to charge me for solar service without any solar panel being hooked up. Please don’t do business with this company, I called again and they no longer answer there phone. Poor poor service. Don’t use Elan Solar.

I received an email advertisement from Elan ( probably based on my browsing history) , so I filled out a contact form, asking them to get in touch with me. Nobody did. So I called and left a message. Nobody called back. I called again and left another message. Nobody called back. If they can't even aswer the telephone or return a message, how they are they going to manage to complete a project?

I am paying solar panel loan and power company bills and they haven't reimbursed me as promised. Went to the office in July and was told they didn't have the money to reimburse me. Do not use this business.
