I signed a contract to install solar panels with a back up battery system with Demand Construction on 1-14-25. To date I have paid $15,440.94 in deposits based on performance milestones. My sales rep indicated that a March install was being targeted. On 4-4-25, i made my first inquiry as to when Demand was planning installation. I was given vague response about Tesla battery delays but no date. I sent multiple messages requesting an install date. I finally received a response on 6-17 that install would be during the week of 7-13. On 7-8 I sent a message asking for a specific day that the installation would take place. I sent a follow up on 7-13 and was sent a response notifying me about delays in the 460 solar panels. I contacted my sales rep and I agreed to use the more readily available 450s. A permit revision was required and I started to receiving responses to my inquiries that the building department had not approved the revision. Demand sent me a copy of the revised plans. I called the building department and they did not have a copy of the revision. I sent what I had and it was approved in a day. I have continued to reach out to Demand attempting to confirm an installation date. I have get various excuses as to why they cannot schedule my install with the last one being a change in leadership and difficulty in finding installers. Demand has stopped responding to my inquiries. It is so late in the year that I will surely not be able to qualify for the expiring Federal Tax Credit. These delays are costing me a great deal of money. As soon as I indicated that I wanted to cancel the contract and get a refund, they stopped responding to my calls and messages. I am now seeing all of the recent negative reviews. I am now looking into my legal options.

This is the absolute worst company to deal with, delays, followed by BS excuses. I signed a contract in early OCT 2024, and was assured completion that calendar year...THAT NEVER HAPPENED, not even close! I was told that I would be reimbursed for my electric bills beyond the 60 day install guarantee, I have in writing from the VP of sales that checks were to be issued...never happened. A large hole was made in my ceiling by the install contractor, and a very poor attempt was made to repair it....I have been asking to have that corrected for months! The lien release document was improperly completed so now I cant refinance my house, and these BOZOS at DEMAND wont even answer the phone, ENERGYSAGE has dropped them as a certified recommended contractor! run away from DEMAND!

If you want a solar company that does any of the following: - Communicates with you in a timely manner - Performs the installation on time - Shows up when people are supposed to as scheduled - Gets through permitting in a reasonable time - Answers support questions and resolves them when you call them - Cares about your service and investment in your Solar project Then do NOT choose Demand Construction. I'm almost 1 year (shy a few weeks) into my project, and it's been nothing but a nightmare from the get go. They're great in the sales process, then things fall apart quickly, almost immediately. My issues span the gamut from being out of stock materials, delayed deliveries, delayed installation, permit process that had 5+ revisions because they don't know what they're doing, not having A VALID BUSINESS PERMIT to perform the project in my area, not following up when they say they will, delayed inspections once again because of their plans not being accurate and having to be revised multiple times, and on and on. Their outsourced installers were the only positive sign of service in my entire experience so far, and while I believe my system was up and running around the 345 day mark, I can't get them to help me figure out how to monitor my system at all despite me asking multiple times. I've even escalated to their executives and President and not 1 person gives a damn about their customers. I also had a friend in my neighborhood go with another solar company a few weeks after me, and he was live and running with zero issues in about 6-7 weeks. (smack forehead) Do yourself a favor and cross these guys off your list no matter what, I wish I went with another company but I had signed my contract before the trainwreck started.

Nightmare. The contract was signed one year ago and I already paid 95% of the cost, yet the solar system is still not activated so far. I really feel I have been scammed. They collected 2/3 of the payment soon after the contract, then the installation was pushed back again and again and again and again. They never reach out to you to update status and I was ignored multiple times when I asked them. They obviously don't have their own installation team, the installation was done by contracters, and everything is super slow. It took 2 months since installation to get pto, and now 2 weeks has passed since pto, they can't even set a date for the activation of the system. Btw, they set a date for activation to trick me to pay the remaining balance and then of course they missed the date! Now they won't answer my questions and just reply with some "we are working on it" bullshit.

This company has the worst customer server I have ever encountered. I have been trying to get this solar project down starting from January 2025. I got my roof done by them which took 2-3 months to schedule, but now they are saying that the solar panels are not available and that sales would call me. But, I have had no contact for over a month. I am in the process of cancelling the remaining of the project. I had already put 17,000 into the solar project. I hope I get it all back.

Absolute nightmare. Contract signed in August. It's February. We've made over $20k in deposits and they clearly have no intention of starting the work. They claim a 45-day install guarantee!

They may save you a few bucks but if I had to do it over, I would not. My experience was a nightmare: no company contact person, nothing in writing, no itemized invoices, missed appointments, electricians who were contracted from hours away with no loyalty to Demand Construction. Do yourself a favor and take your business to a responsible firm.

My ACTUAL rating is ZERO stars. This company took over $16,000 from my family and never provided a service. They make excuse after excuse, lie after lie, promise after promise. My phone is FILLED with text message, promising installation, but after 8 months we decided to ask for a refund and now the company won't even respond and have chosen to IGNORE us. Then I go to complain to the Better Business Bureau and see that this is what they have been doing to so many others, as well. Time to lawyer up and get our refund!
