I researched about 10 different companies and they came up with the best deal for me. We signed up for the service and it didn't cost me anything to get it up on the roof. Eric, the representative that I talked to, was absolutely perfect. He came all the way out of town substituting for someone else and did a great job. He came back out a second time because we needed to talk with him some more and he did a nice job.

We started looking through Costco since they have good merchandise and got their name that way. We were just interested in solar, but we had heard horror stories from other people that had used other solar energy companies. The customer service rep that we talked to as very enlightening though. He came out to our house and explained everything to us. In the end we just decided to go with Sunrun. So far our experience has been excellent.

I bought my solar from Sunrun but all their promises before I signed the contract were not true my system is not generating enough power as it shows in the contract and then my agent is not responding to my emails or text so I don't recommend this company

The worst solar company ever!!!! They installed the panels and after 2 years, the water started pouring into my home. My roofer checked and the did not properly install the panels and damaged my roof that I had to replace the whole thing for $30k!!! Their response was "We never promised to fix your roof so we are not paying for it"!!!!! DO NOT INSTALL SOLAR PANELS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT!!

This company is untrustworthy. I specifically told the salesperson that I did not want a lease agreement. I negotiated a purchase agreement that I electronically signed on 8/6/2022. As I later learned, the salesperson did not electronically sign that contract, but instead put my signature on a lease agreement. The panels were installed in August of 2022; however, it took three appointments before the city would sign off on the permit because the company representatives either didn't show up or failed to provide the necessary documentation. The solar panels didn't go online until January of 2023, which unfortunately caused me to lose out on the solar credits until 2023. After the final approval, I attempted to make my final payment. I was told that I didn't have a purchase agreement, but I had a lease agreement. Fortunately for me, I kept every electronic document, including my copy of the purchase agreement, emails, and text messages. It was nearly impossible to get anyone in that company to listen to me or to find someone who could actually help me, After eight months, the company relented and renegotiated a new purchase contract. Shame on them!

BUYER BEWARE! Please, if anyone from Sunrun approaches you, your door, from Costco or wherever DO NOT use this company. Read all the most recent reviews. I think they average a 1 dating back to June. What do you do when you see a restaurant rated a 1? Enough said. I signed on with them back in March. They still have not even started the work. Their excuse, PG&E. Of course.. how easy.. blame it on the other business. There is way more to this, but it starts with service and they lack this in every way. To start, the initial sale: Visit to the house, assure you they will stay with you and make sure you are taken care of. EVERYTHING perfect until you sign.. and of course they get their commission. I had 2 salesman, but one in particular who only cared about the sale is Mike G. I have tried to call and text him for months and nothing. Ghost. He used all the jargon, promised, total sales guy. nothing to back it up. Since March, I have been offered 2 dates to come up and do an electrical panel upgrade (not even install the solar yet), Thats 2 dates, in 5 months. I finally get a date in August and the guy comes out and says.."ohhhh we are probably going to need to move your panel to a different location" He could have come out much earlier to tell me that, but .. nope. So we are not in middle September and the whole company is basically leaving me hanging and blaming it on PG&E. 2 MAJOR things.. my bills due to the heat wave are super high so I am losing all that money that is the reason I went with solar. The 2nd I will likely get the panels installed when it gets dark at 5pm so I will not be able to store the energy. This company is poorly run, has awful customer service and if there is anything I can assure you of, you will be no different. Please choose any other company.. or you will be in for a lot of agony and empty promises.

Would like to see you offer ability to retrofit battery into existing solar system. This Should be simple. I have had other companies offer quotes to do this, knowing that Sun Run does not. Also, it took about 9 months from first contact to install/activation. Issue was town permits and architectural review., not sun run.

I have been up and running for a little longer than 6 months now and am amazed at how efficient my system is. My electric bill has dropped to about $15.00 per month, which is just for small taxes and the electricity delivery charge per month. I am extremely pleased with the system.

Everything was done on time, the agent that was in charge of everything kept in touch and everything went well. I was really impressed with the installation and then with the follow up. I know that we're already over producing which is what I was hoping for. I'm pretty happy with leasing plan that we have. The installation process was very good except there were a few issues. There were bolts going through my my porch area but sunrise came out and fixed the problem within a couple days which I greatly appreciate.

Every time I asked a question they answered it and got back to me. Everything is working good. As far as the installation process, it was pretty easy and they told me when the guys would be there and then they showed up and were in and out pretty quickly and didn't leave a mess. The roof was replaced at cost with someone that SunRun had arranged and then their people came and put everything in a day. The ydid locate the inverter and to ther equipment where I wanted it more so than where the company might put it so by default I was pleased with that. So far I haven't had issues with the equipment. I haven't really had to do a lot with them after installation.

Their pricing is a little confusing especially since they have to partner with a utility provider. You know what your Sunrun lease costs will be, they are pretty straight forward, but what the utility will charge you is unknown. That is at least until you have a year's worth of billing experience with them. In the end you end up paying a little less than what you would have had to pay a straight utility connection. I am not fond of the duel billing program nor that I have to set up automatic withdrawal from my checking account in order to get the Sunrun discount. I would have preferred being able to do so from a credit card.

I haven't had to deal with customer service a whole lot, but in the beginning, they were responsive and courteous. Installation was a little bit of an issue because the plans were not exactly correct in the beginning. They installed it incorrectly and they had to come back with more panels until they realized it was done properly.'

It's working as well as they described. When the installation people came and they actually broke the entry gate. It costed me five hundred dollars and SunRun has never reimbursed me. I sent them information and their trucks are insured by some other people but it's been almost a year. I have to pay out of my pocket.'

They have excellent communication updates and a very seamless process. They notified me in advice when they were coming. They arrived and walked me through what they were going to do and went and did it. It was very timely and they cleaned up after themselves. Everything was quick and efficient. The installation went pretty smooth. A couple hiccups extended it but after that it was good. After the fact I found out some of the information I was given was not true. I was told that my panels would work if the power was out and they don't. Also I was told I would be able to cash out the money for the overage at the end of the year and I can't. I really wish they were more upfront with some of the questions I asked. I really felt deceived when I found out the coverage doesn't cover the full cost of the power and I can't withdraw it. I have hundreds of dollars of extra power that I will never be able to use. I wish I had gotten less panels because of it.
