The overall process from the first consultation thru installation and completion was a positive experience. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner and they kept us up to date as the process moved along from financing, permits, and inspections.

They are so awesome. The entire process went smoothly. They took care of everything. The day of install I let the guys into the basement, they got to work. They cleaned up when they were done and provided with me some info about when the plates would be active. They created such a perfect design, you can’t even see them on my roof. I love it. They are already generating power, and I see a difference in my bill. Highly recommended.

Like: The installation has been working beautfully; the support from the company for the two or three small glitches we've experienced has been quick and thorough and resolved the problems; and the installation crew came, took care of everything in a day, and everything worked fine from the outset. I also love the Enphase app that lets me see all the pertinent information about our power production and usage. Dislike: As we went from signing the contract to installation,there were, at times, gaps in the information flow from the company to us. Keeping us up to date could've been done slightly more efficiently.

I had a great experience with New York Power Solutions. I received more than 5 quotes from different contractors and NY Power Solutions gave me the best price with no hassle. Installation of 26 panels was less than a full day. It has been less than a month since the system has been turned on but so far I am receiving more solar production than I expected. Service, professionalism and responsiveness have been excellent. Would recommend them to anyone looking to go solar.

Getting solar panels can be intimidating. David, Megan, Talie and Joe (CEO) at New York Power Solutions were incredibly helpful. They held my hand through the entire process (from feasibility --- to NYSERDA financing --- to permitting --- to final implementation). I'm glad I made the decision to go solar (for environmental reasons, and to save on energy costs). New York Power Solutions was a terrific partner to work with to get this done!!!

We were pretty efficient, with utility bills about $2600/year, but we knew we wanted to bring in solar to reduce electricity consumption. Dave Kowalsky from Power Solutions described their system with net metering back to the utility company instead of buying storage batteries. His plan called for a 4.3 kWh system that meet our electricity demand. David was very clear and patient, explaining the benefits, warrantees, rebates, financing and installation details. Power Solutions took care of all of the utility company and local building department filing and paperwork requirements. Installation occurred on the scheduled day and was completed in 4 hours (11 panels with inverters and transfer switch). There is about a 2 week delay between installation and turning the system on due to utility company and building department inspection requirements. But now, since June '24, with this heat wave and two heat-pumps driving four air conditioners, the solar output is exactly covering our electricity consumption. We are so pleased with all of this. Especially with the financing. With currently available federal, state and utility company rebates and tax incentives, our net outlay is under 50% of the cost of the system. This is a legit company. There's a lot of nonsense in the world of solar as i found out with many quotes but these people are legit. Got a great deal for a new roof, gutters and panels. Not a lease deal, you own the system and you get a great incentive for the government at the moment. The only annoying part of this will be your township with the permits. Make sure you button everything up on your end. As far as speed of installation, these guys were lightning fast and it only 2 them 2 days to rip my roof and install a new one with gutters and panels. You also get an app with a live feed in how your system is working which is nice to actually see your return. My rep Henry was very responsive throughout this project and never kept me waiting for an honest answer. Use them with confidence.

Henry was fantastic to work with through the entire process from initial phone calls to closing out permits. He answered all calls, emails, and texts immediately. I always felt like I knew exactly what was happening in each step of the process. The install crew worked efficiently and got the job done in one day. I noticed of the 40 somewhat lag bolts to hold the racking system in place 2 of them missed a rafter by fraction of an inch. I called and a two man crew was at my house within 2 days and couldn’t be any better at explaining the fix and they even showed me the adjustment in the attic. Overall, LI Power has been a fantastic company to work with!

After speaking with several other company’s, going with Power solutions made the most sense. One company strictly wanted me to lease the equipment which after a lot of research is the worst thing to do! My main concern was not go have any panels on my front roof which could potentially decrease my curb appeal. After speaking with Steve M. and answering every question I could think of, the decision was a no-brainer!

They found the right loan length and rate for us. Install was one day. Very clean install, no mess left behind. Solar inspection completed soon after. System up and running that week. The app for the system shows everything we need, easy to navigate app. Permit already closed. Excellent communication throughout. Would recommend this company over others, as we had 3 other estimates.

I was interested in Solar energy to defray some of the cost of my electric bill which runs particularly high since the installation of geothermal heating/cooling. I found New York Power Solutions through on-line resources and compared several vendors before choosing NY Power Solutions. The quality of the panels and inverters they use is quite high and I liked the warranty offered on both the hardware and the installation. After signing the contract, the actual installation process was extremely smooth. They took care of all the permits and necessary approvals needed from my local utility. They arranged all the inspections and sent a notary to my home to simplify signing the necessary documents. The installation crew were expert both for the roof installation and the electrical set up. Everything promised was delivered and done so in a timely way. The app that monitors my solar production is very intuitive and easy to use allowing me to track production, consumption and net import from the utility. Overall, a very straightforward process that was executed flawlessly. I would certainly recommend NY Power Solutions to anyone looking to install solar power.

I’m one of those people who researches a project to an excessive level and rarely write reviews. I interviewed a total of four solar companies that service eastern Long Island to include personally speaking with prior customers and visiting two of the four companies office/warehouse. In the end I went with New York Power Solutions and I am quite pleased with their work. Carlos was my sales representative and he was very helpful as well as patient with my never ending questions. At no time did he pressure me and he guided me through panel selection, permitting, electrical and the structural inspection process. LIPS preliminary inspection of my home was far more thorough than the other companies. The installation was performed by Adam and “Team 6” who did an amazing job. They showed up on schedule and left the work site clean upon completion and demonstrated to me that the system was up and performing properly. NYPS offered competitive pricing and also arranged an 18 month no payment loan for half the cost of the system which I can pay off when I receive my tax credit refund next year. Talie Cohen who works in the office was very helpful in coordinating with my town’s building department to get my system inspected and the utility company to get my solar system online and crediting my account with kilowatts produced. My system has been up and running for over three months without a problem and my electric bill was less than thirty dollars.

I was super skeptical at first, dealt with many sales calls when I became interested in solar. So by the time I spoke with Rich H, I pretty much knew what to ask and what we wanted in panels. Rich was a straight shooter which we appreciated. He walked us through every single question we had and was super patient! On top of that NYPowers Solutions is local which means any issues if any would be addressed in a timely manner, the team who installed was pretty big and to our surprise left not even one piece behind. There was no trace that they even installed anything. They did such an amazing job. Our project manager Cindy was on top of everything from A-Z. She handled everything from permits, to setting up inspections, and closing the permits. This was VERY helpful because she is an expert in what needed to be done for a successful install. By the end of installation and app set up, Joe did an amazing job walking me through the app. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. We had a complete installation in July. We haven't paid one cent to Central Hudson with the exception of the connection fee. I am so thankful we made the switch. If you're skeptical the way I was, don't hesitate. Call and ask for Rich! You won't regret it.

I wish there were more stars than just five -- I cannot recommend New York Power Solutions enough for anyone who wants solar panels -- even for those just considering it. One day when changing the air filters in my home, I noticed that they were very, very dark. Since I change them frequently, this was unusual. When I had my boiler looked at, it turns out that it was backing up with soot and, though I couldn't see it, this soot was slowly making its way into my house. Since I didn't want my kids breathing in that crap anymore, I decided it was time to at least entertain starting a transition to cleaner energy like solar. I met with Rich H and he carefully and thoughtfully stepped me through the whole process of having a solar panel system installed, including tax credits, the breakeven price of electricity, whether or not we should get battery backup, financing, the permitting process -- everything. There were no high pressure sales tactics -- after all, between the NYSERDA rebate, sales tax exemption, and federal and state tax credits, a solar panel system has never been more affordable. Nonetheless, I never felt pressured to buy. After I worked through the math myself and agreed to move forward, they did a site inspection to make sure that my roof was suitable and provided a more detailed estimate of how much energy my system would produce. They will not proceed with the install unless they think your roof can handle it. After that, our project manager Cindy walked me through what was required and the entire process from drawing up the blueprints to the final QA appointment. I had many, many (many, many) follow up emails which she patiently and promptly answered. I researched the panels, the microinverters, the rail system -- everything that they install is warrantied and top-of-the-line. No compromises in quality here. They even include critter guard (an essential for anyone getting panels) at no extra cost. Installation was quick and efficient -- they installed the best equipment and did it all in less than a day. After install, I had a quality assurance appointment, where I was walked through my system, the app to monitor it, and any questions that I had. The entire team was great and the process was streamlined. NY Power Solutions took care of everything - from the blueprints to permits, to installation, inspections, etc. I can't emphasize how important it is on a big project like this to have someone who is local and understands the process of permitting and dealing with large bureaucratic local governments -- especially in New York. You want a company that is large enough to be around to stand behind their warranty in 20 years, but also small enough that they know how to get things done in your specific neighborhood. New York Power Solutions has knowledge of how to get things done in local municipalities that large national carriers just can't match and their prices are competitive, as well. All material and labor is warrantied for the life of the system. I would highly recommend New York Power Solutions to anyone considering going solar. Their courteous and knowledgeable staff made a large and complex process easy as pie. No muss, no fuss -- and no more paying for my electricity! Thank you New York Power Solutions!

NY Power Solution was and has been fantastic throughout the ENTIRE process, from system design, permitting, installation, and service after the sale. Any issues were dealt with rapidly and met with kindness and professionalism. Shortly after installation, a micro inverter malfunctioned. We got a phone call before we even noticed am issue. The team scheduled the replacement and took care of it, and no one had to be home for the repair. Power output estimates were extremely accurate. We haven't had an electric bill in almost a year! If you’re looking to do solar panels, I highly recommend NY Power Solutions. Their team is very thorough from the design phase, getting the paperwork ready for filing and following through the permit phase. The contractors are very knowledgeable and completed the project with no issues. They even came back the next day to double check things because they received an error message on their computers. Everything works fantastic, we had it installed during the tail end of winter so it took about a month or two before we started see energy being stored. Now, we’re at our 6 month and we’re storing a ton of energy. They have a team that walks you through the app on your phone to monitor everything. What I really thought was great in the field is that the contractors put a wire cage around the panels to prevent birds, squirrels or any kind of animal that can get on the roof and could potentially eat the wiring. So many panels companies don’t do that step and it’s very risky.

DO YOUR RESEARCH! I sat down with 5 different Solar Panel Companies before I purchased. Joe Strzelecki from Long Island Power Solutions came to my house and sat with me and went over step by step what I could expect and answered all my questions. But to be honest... after Joe finished up his meeting with me.... there were very few questions I had. All the companies go over the same things and say the same things but where Joe shined was that he gave me the pro's and con's of materials used, installation methods, production numbers, accountability, buy vs lease, etc. So based on Joe's perfromance I decided to go with LI Power Solutions. But it did not just end on a great sales presentation! Once the work began... LI Power Solutions shined even more. They took control and handled everything from scheduling roofer to setting up inspections to the installation. Their support staff in the office was fantastic in keeping me fully updated. The project was was done with no disturbance to my home and nothing more needed on my end. When the job was done... it was done. No loose end for me to take care of. The materials and mehod of installation used was exactly what was promised by Joe. The production numbers Joe presented to me that I could expect from my installation and the savings was spot on. 3 years later my panels are still producing perfectly and my electric bill from PSEG ranges between $12 -$15 per month. Yep that is right... 3 years... $12/$15 per month. It is a no brainer!!! I literally brag to all my friends when ever I get the chance. And to top it off even more... a couple of months ago I had a simple question. I reached out to Joe thinking "I'll probably have to call the main office"... Joe answered me back THAT DAY... three years later! I can say with confidence that if you go with another company you will not get the same level of service, quality materials, installation or dedication to customer satisfaction. Skepticle??? Call Joe... make sure you get Joe Strzelecki! Invite him to take a look at your house. If after meeting with him you are still unsure, I have personally told Joe I would talk to anyone unsure to tell them my experience and show them my installation at my house. I believe the time frame eas related to my town, the utility, and volume/demand at the company.
