Today is Saturday September 15, 2018. I just had a wonderful experience, if at all possible, getting solar panels placed on my home by Momentum Solar. The crew arrived early, started work expeditiously. They were professional, organized, efficient, and knowledgeable of their craft. This is not an hyperbolic attempt at creating a narrative of service that was no more than average, or usual. However, like many home owners apprehension about placing solar panels on the roof, and the damage that my ensue because of it was laid to rest by this crew. They were well informed and experienced enough to address all of my questions satisfactory. If you are getting Momentum Solar company to install panels on your home, and you should, please request Dean, Howard, Alex, Chaz, and Leo to do the job. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Momentum solar is the best solar company I could have gone with. I sat with different ones and this was by far the smartest and easiest choice. Not only is the product the best, but the guy that sat down with me was by far the coolest person I’ve ever sat with. His name is Marlon M and he made every step of the way as painless as possible. He explained it in a way that I understood, he knew what he was talking about and he genuinely seemed to want to get to know me. I actually wouldn’t mind being this guys friend after sitting with him. Like I said before, I’ve thought a long and hard about going solar but as soon as I sat with Marlon, it was a done deal. He made me see the value in the product. Not only does it benefit me and my family in the long run but it’ll help save the world even if it only starts with me. Thank you Momentum Solar for everything and thank you Marlon for making this experience and enjoyable and happy one.

Momentum Solar has been an absolute JOY to deal with. From the helpful people in the call center, to my truly, always there for me, Solar guy Marlon. I looked at other companies, but found the total package and best value with Momentum. I’ve read other reviews trying to scare other people away, and can’t understand why someone would do that. I’ve been to their office in Metuchen where they make everything happen. They clearly install all their own projects and train their entire staff in the same facility. I’m as happy as can be. All promises were kept, and I’m now saving money by transitioning. Thank you to all the guys and gals in Metuchen who made it happen.

What they don't tell you. First they use doc sign. you don't get copy to do 3 day review. they an 18,000 price ,and require you give them your tax rebate check and the 4 thousand dollar rebate is added too and not deducted from the price of the panels; a battery is not included in the deal, because they don't have them. When you finally do find the contract its under a different name, and its incomplete there are no money figures. SO, You end up paying 25,000 for solar. You still have to pay your power company. the power company pays you 8 cents per kWh they get from your system, and charge you about 20 cents for per kWh you use.

Initial contact and instal was 3. However I was told that a lean would not be placed against the home. A lean was however placed against the home which caused refinancing at a rate of 2.25%a huge headache with a delay of over a month.

Wasn't fully informed in regards to monitoring production vs consumption vs storing capabilities. Wasn't aware and disappointed that it all wasn't included in the purchase of the system. Also the installation wasn't without incident that caused us to have no phone, tv or internet service for over 24 hours; had to contact service provider to come make repairs.

LG’s panels are very good quality. Momentum did a good job. The certification process through the local electric company was a bit tedious. Installation was tidy. They do it in one day.

Took forever to get the panels on because of multiple months waiting for inspections and meter changes due to checks lost in the mail. Had the panels on for 3 months and I still have an electric bill of $100 on top of the solar bill that was supposed to make the electric bill go away completely. So now I'm paying more each month between the panels and the electric bill than I was prior to install. I thought that I was supposed to have enough power produced with the 44 panels on my roof.

The customer service is outstanding. The installation took a long time and there were some setbacks. I have 38 panels on my house to produce enough electricity to power my house. I did some research and it could be done with 28 panels. Their panels aren't as efficient as some other companies.

We had damage to our new roof when installation took place. It took 4-5 months. When they came 3 times it was pouring rain. I asked why would you come in a down pour. The answer was so we show the customer we are here on the day promised. My answer was why would you come? Why would you look at the weather then call and reschedule because it angers us you came and can't do anything. Also we had lead person look at our roof 3 times to match the roof. They finally came and still had the wrong roofing shingle. They left on a beautiful day to get material worked 2 hours and the manager pulled them off the job to go to another job. They came back2 weeks later to complete 3 hours of roofing. Seriously mismanaged. Still waiting for critter guard installation. This has been months not happy at all.

We have an issue where our solar is not communicating. We were told a technician would contact us in 3-5 days. We never heard from anyone. We called again and this time they told us to call back in 3-5 buisiness days to see if they know what to do. So instead of calling us with an answer we have to call back. With the solar not connected properly our electric usage went up higher than it has ever been by almost double and they take too long to resolve the issue.

The process is horrible, no follow through (I had to call and they stated we were wonder what happened with the set up, really!!!), limited guidance, multiple phone calls and I still cannot get this set up. If I knew then what I know now, I would not have proceeded with putting solar panels up. Still having issues getting srecs set up and still paying out of pocket, which I was told I would not have to do. Customer Service is only open till 4:00pm to assist with the srecs, unfortunately I do not get home until after 4:00pm. The materials to assist with setting up the srecs is not very user friendly. I also had an issue with one of the reps and a comment not called for. I had to reach out and have their Supervisor notified. I would recommend solar panels, however not if this is how business is conducted. Also, I was informed after the fact taxes were done, that I would have to submit another form. Now I have to do an amendment to my taxes for this. Which will most likely cost me more since I have a Tax Advisor reviewing the forms since there is no further guidance on this. Brochures are given out when you want for us to purchase the solar panels, however once they are sold it seems that you could care less. There should be additional guides given out or on the website. Also, remember this is not something that the we do everyday, like you do at your job, and any question or request how dumb it may seem provides job security. At this point I am totally dissatisfied with the inconvenience of having to go through all of this. Mind you I have another house that I have to do this for.

I'm pretty upset about the fact that they have charged me for the whole month, when I had only used it for 6 days. Installation took a couple of weeks. They came to check the panels they installed, checked the inside of the house, and then after about a month they finally put everything up. So far I'm not having any problems with it, but I don't think the customer service is very efficient.

They came to put everything up, then they left. I think I pay too much a month, so I think they're really making money on me. I wish they would have given me a better deal.

I had called a few times into customer support to discuss something that were being done, but no one replied to me. They sent people out here, not giving me a call beforehand on 3 different occasions. I had no idea why they were there and what they were doing. Installation was okay...there was a lot of drilling and loud noises. I wish I knew it would have been this loud, because I wouldn't have stayed home, especially with my children. No one told us that there was a period of high production when we should have installed them. Instead, we installed them in a low production period. I think Momentum Solar sucks.
