I have 45 years in technical sales and marketing and would say that their response was prompt and very complete but missed the marked because they didn't take the time to evaluate why I was going solar and what parameters I had established for a system. I am an unusual customer because of having worked in the engineering side of the utility industry for 35 years with a fair amount of knowledge on some aspects of solar.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Let me share my saga. I came to LA Solar as a referral from a solar group that LA Solar acquired. Evidently they didn't bring any of the successful DNA from Barnes Solar over... Brian my sales rep was and continues to me wonderful. We priced out and financed the right solar solution for me. He took the time to hear what I needed and covered all the details. After a week or two of back and forth to get things right, I signed documents in September 2022. Brian had already shared with me that inventories were backed up, so I wasn't expecting a quick turn around on installation. The install crew came out in early December to put everything on the roof. When they were finished there were four solar panels still on the ground. I counted the ones on the roof, and the right number were installed. What I came to understand is that they installed the WRONG panels. Instead of the 450w panels I had ordered, they had installed 390w panels instead. The inventory guys evidently caught the error and added four panels to make up the wattage difference - but never bothered to tell me. After much back and forth, we agreed to keep the 390w panels and have new drawings created in mid-December. Then the work stopped. After THREE failed inspections, they finally put the additional four panels on the roof (in the wrong location), and still have yet to pass an inspection. I can't get anyone from the production team to call me back, or take this serious. Due to my financing, they already have 80% of the money. The bank has sent me the first bill, and I still don't have live solar on my house (March 2023). I've complained, written to the Contractors Licensing Board, and pestered - but they just don't care. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They don't take their work seriously, can't communicate internally or externally, and won't finish your job in any sort of timely way without constant micromanagement on your part. STAY AWAY!

Normally I would not write a one star review. My solar system installed 4 years ago, but the inverter broke last month. Luckily I took a look at the monitor App next day and called them. Because it is still in warranty, they submit a case with SolarEdge who provide the parts. Then wait. I need call SolarEdge to push the case. It took two weeks to get part to my home, in which UPS spent less than two days. Even I gave LA Solar the tracking number and delivery date, it took them a week to schedule a technician to come and 10 days away. The whole process last almost a month. It is better in terms of afterservice for big installers such as Tesla. They have parts in inventory and can send technician right away. A month list of service costs $200 for me.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. This is the first time I post my review. I just want to warn people who are planning for their solar project to stay away from this company. Go find someone else. If I could give NEGATIVE or ZERO stars I would. I signed a contract with LA solar group in May last year. My contract includes the solar panel and a TESLA Powerwall. Just like other reviews, the installation process was awful, no communication what so ever. I sent many emails to the sales person and the project manager without any response. One day, they told me they will send the crew to install the solar panels. Nobody show up on the scheduled date. No one tells me what's going on. This happened few times. I wasted all those PTO for nothing. Finally, the solar panels were installed in October. Then same thing happened for city inspection. And it's even worse. They only notify me the schedule one day before the inspection. I was forced to make myself available. In March this year, they installed the battery storage. But my garage, part of my kitchen, and part of my house don't have power during a power outage. The installed told me that they will come back to install few breakers after the city inspection. Since that, no one come back to install those breakers. Instead, they keep asking me to pay the last payment. I told them I will pay when the issue get resolved. But they responded that if I don't pay, they won't come resolve the issue. That's really ridiculous. I have never ever deal with a company like LA Solar Group. Don't even understand why this company is still in business. And I will still need to deal with this company for the next 20 year if something wrong with the system. Now, I have to sent all my contracts with LA Solar Group, all the text message, and all the emails to my attorney to handle this for me. So, if you don't want to have the same headache I have, DO NOT consider this company.

Review comments * In August 2021 I signed a contract with LA Solar to install a Tesla Powerwall 2. The salesman John C assured me it would be completed by February 2022 and put that in the contract. February came and no sign of LA Solar despite paying them $1000 for plans and designs. Within days of a negative review, I received a call from a "Tigran" at LA Solar apologizing profusely for the delays in delivering and installing my equipment. He assured me that he would deliver and install my equipment on April 20, 2022 and followed up by putting this commitment in writing. While frustrated, I felt confident that this nightmare experience was coming to an end. Even the company's project portal listed my project as "Confirmed" for April 20, 2022. Foolish me. I called LA Solar the afternoon of April 19 to reconfirm the installation would take place on April 20. After several unanswered calls, I spoke to a woman in the "Marketing Dept" who connected me with the "Operations Manager". After a song and dance about lack of batteries and "Tigran does not work here" I was told my installation would not be taking place and there was a long list of people waiting before me. The representative stated that it is not LA Solar's fault that they have twice failed to fulfill their contracted obligations as stated in writing. I received the often cited excuse that Tesla did not send us our supply. This company lies to individuals repeatedly and refuses to accept responsibility for its failure to deliver. Communication is non-existent and any concept of customer service is non existent. They take payment via bank debit so you have no recourse often associated with credit card payments. DO NOT CONSIDER WORKING WITH LA SOLAR or its sister company NEVADA SOLAR. You will regret it and lose money. Throw your money out the window because you will never see it or your LA Solar project again.

The experience was initially very great. The sales staff was friendly and seemed professional. However, they damaged a number of tiles on our roof and refused to replace them. Not only did they refuse to replace them, but they also then went ahead and turned off all of the panels rendering no production and no offset to our bill. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to have these panels installed, only to be at the mercy of their decision to either turn on and off our system. Ultimately, the experience was unprofessional and I would strongly advise others to consider these factors when choosing a solar contractor.

Got a bid from by LA Solar, scheduled online a phone appointment for first time slot today with "Toni" This was 5 days out, Toni cancelled after shortening the one hour phone app't to 30 minutes 4 days ago, and day of app't Monday 9am, cancelled less than 2 hours before through their scheduling app. Being in solar sales must be bad for your health as now 3 different solar sales reps have cancelled last minute due to illness ....what a coincidence Sales must be good, as I won't be rescheduling. After reading reviews, there looks like far better options.

If you see the lower rating this solar company has received, you need to know that all their bad reviews are accurate and true. I've had nothing but problems and excuses from this company including their president Ara P. My system was late to install. City Inspections were delayed and failed because of poor management of the installation. A few times the City went to do a scheduled inspection and LA Solar Group didn't advise their workers to be there or what work needed to be redone to pass inspection. I had an electrical panel upgrade done also to ensure I wouldn't get any excuses about the system having issues with my older panel and that still has problems. AC system turns on and lights around the house dim. My system has under performed to what was guaranteed in the contract the first 2 years....1st year I got a check for the underproduction but only after months and months of contacting LA Solar to comply with what was promised. This year their excuse first was overgrown trees that were blocking the panels....After I sent them pictures and video of the palm trees in relation to where the panels are and how they don't interfere in any way with the panels then they come up saying that now it's because the panels are dirty.... Bottomline...You are going to deal with a company that doesn't monitor your system to ensure optimal performance, You're going to deal with a company that doesn't communicate well within their organization. You'll have people from their company stating that they're told different things from different management groups and some don't even communicate to their workers as to what needs to be done... Ohh I forgot, the company broke over 200 roof tiles from my roof...They claim they're roof experts and was told I shouldn't worry because their workers knew how to walk on my type of roof. Then they tried to replace the broken roof tiles with a totally different color making my roof look with patches all over. I also had my rep making tons of excuses as to how he was so busy with work and couldn't handle his load so he apologized about not following through with every issue while installation. That's why I had to involve the owner/president and then I knew why the company runs the way it does,,, he's full of excuses himself. He will not stand by the products and service he provides. In short......STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Our experience with LA Solar Group has been frustrating and difficult. Their workmanship at our home has been shoddy and unprofessional and their customer service has been poor and inconsistent. Our solar install was completed in December 2017 - On the day of the install they drilled multiple holes through our ceiling in multiple rooms in our home. Had they bothered to come in our home to do a quick survey as my wife had invited them to, all this might have been avoided. But instead, they hurried into the install and penetrated our ceiling. After doing so, we have been beset with leaks. LA Solar has ultimately responded to our pleas that they honor their guarantees by faulting our roof and telling us to go after the people who sold us the home. They have made efforts to "fix the problem", but these efforts appear to have exacerbated the situation. During one such repair effort in March 2018, they again penetrated our ceiling with holes. They eventually instituted a more significant series of repairs and we believed that our problems were resolved last spring; however, in mid January of this year as the rains started coming heavy, we ended up with more leaks, in areas where LA Solar either drilled holes or incorrectly installed solar utility equipment. It's been nearly two months since we first reported these leaks to them; since that time communication is inconsistent at best and non-existent for the most part. The CEO assured us that he was taking a personal interest in our problem and that we should communicate only through him; we hear little from him when we text, call, or email. They take what we feel to be an undue amount of time to respond to our requests; meanwhile, our roof is leaking and our home is sustaining damage. When we signed up with LA Solar Group, we were not expecting this, but unfortunately, our experience has been negative and frustrating from the day of the install.

This is an unfortunate review and situation. From the earliest days in 2017, we suggested a reroof. Based on a roofing investigation, this is not a solar-related leak. I personally visited you and your wife in your home to discuss an offer of 2,000 dollars plus doing an uninstall/reinstall for free for a roofer of your choice. You then asked us to pay for a reroof, which was not reasonable. We do all we can to support our customers -we go above and beyond, but there are times when our fiduciary responsibility to all our customers requires us to not take on liability that is not ours, even in the face of 1-star reviews. We have been accommodating to your requests, and have done many site visits with no charge to try to support you. We remain open and hopeful that this can be resolved reasonably.

I submitted A interest email. I received a phone call from a rep within 24 hours. He requested my last power bill and asked me several other questions. A meeting was scheduled for July 21st at 2 pm. I cleared the day so I could meet the rep at my residence. 2 o’clock came around, looked at my phone and no missed calls from them saying they were running late or canceling meeting. To be honest it annoyed me because if they are failing to meet with a potential customer, can you imagine what it would be like when you’re having issues with your system? A week later a rep calls me and he’s very hyper and full of energy and proceeds to tell me, thay he discovered they failed to meet with me and wanted to reschedule the meeting. Told him thanks but not thanks. You guys failed and with all the competition that’s out there, you guys failed out the gate. First impressions say a lot.
