Axia by Qcells Reviews

Going Solar is a big decision for many. How large of system you need, panel quality, who is installing, workmanship and service during and after install. These choices are even tougher if you can't find a review of the company you are interested in. So, I'm providing this long review of Axia Solar. For myself I had many companies provide a quote for my system. Pricing ranged for the same system quite a bit, roughly 25% across the board. I wanted a one stop shop when it came to panels and install. I researched the panels I wanted first. I decided on Q Cell Panels. I than came across Axia Solar this was the one stop shop. Axia is backed by Q Cell, but Axia is fairly new to the install from what I could find online. I also could not find any reviews of them. I decided to take the chance with Axia. Price: They were the least expensive of all. This wasn't a concern to me because they own the panels, therefore I expected them to be less overall. Sales: Their sales department "Michael M" was fantastic. He answered all my questions and also provided valuable feedback to all my concerns as well. I'm sure I was a pain because it took me awhile to decide and he was very patient with me. Contract: Once in contract, their Customer Advocate or what I would call their project manager "Lindsay R" went beyond to keep me apprised of the status at all times. The permit process took a while several weeks in my county. Lindsay would give me updates weekly. Install: Their install crews were knowledgeable and profession. They coordinated all inspections and prepared all inter-phasing with PG&E my utility company. Their workmanship was clean. They did run into a couple of hick-ups after install. This delayed completion a few days, but I would not consider this a workmanship issue rather an interconnection issue with Enphase. When turning the system on for the first time, several of the inverters were not reporting to Enphase. They resolved the issue quickly. Scheduling/Timing: My original start date was delayed, a week due to unknown issues however Axia continued to inform me of the status almost daily. Once started, the system install took roughly a week from start to finish. I would think it would have been completed sooner had there not been rain. After all inspections were completed, our utility company "PG&E" took two weeks to give us an approval to operate, this was quicker than expected. Overall: I would recommend Axia Solar for the following reasons: Their sales team was very knowledgeable and professional. Their pricing was great! Their workmanship was professional and courteous. Their communication before and during the process has been great. I feel based on their overall performance so far, they will be there should any issues arise later.

Before purchasing, we interviewed 4 popular solar companies and then we finally called Axia Solar in Irvine, we chose this company because it is local, and it is a spin-off company from Qcells USA Corporation. Alex (the technical engineer) and Annabelle (the project manager) have been informing us every step of the whole process. They answered our phone calls, texts and emails on time and today the solar panels are up and running as we expected. We strongly recommend Axia Solar to everyone and we don’t think you can find any companies that can beat Axia Solar’s price.

My solar power system by Qcells is working well, and I am pleased with it. However I cannot recommend doing business with Axia by Qcells; in fact I recommend that you avoid them. Dealing with them was quite unpleasant. Many times there seemed to be no progress on the project; and when I would ask for status updates I would get no response. My e-mails (about anything) were routinely ignored. When they finally installed the system, they provided me with no means of monitoring it. When I eventually was able to monitor the system, I discovered that it wasn't working; they had installed it incorrectly. When I contacted them about fixing it, they just blew me off. Eventually they did fix it, and it is now working well. From beginning to end, the project took nearly 7 months.

Definitely 5 stars for our project manager Tiffiny, she was very communicative and responsive throughout the process and went above and beyond to make sure we understood next steps and that everything was taken care of. There was a moment when we were waiting on a roofing permit (we bundled a reroof with solar) and things were taking longer than expected but Tiffiny got to the bottom of it quickly and realized the roofing subcontractor had submitted our roofing permit incorrectly. Once she identified the issue, things moved along very quickly. Very happy with the outcome, thank you Tiffiny.

It was a great experience. Everyone is extremely professional and helpful. They made it so easy to go through the process. Thank you. I haven’t had an electric bill since.

Axia was very communicative and responsive throughout the entire installation project; they worked with my schedule and kept me in the loop on all of the processes, including city and provider approval to necessary system design modifications.

I liked the professionalism that your sales and service teams have conducted themselves with me and all our interactions. The installation and service contractors were very friendly and helpful while installing and setting up my solar system. Thank you very much!

I would like to commend the doors with which Axia operated. Tesla sold me a dummy and on 25th March informed me they cannot do my solar. I was in a panic cause of the 13th April NEM 2.0 deadline in CA. I called up Axia on 25th March and by 10th April I had solar panels on my roof. The project coordinator Tiffiny has been extremely responsive unlike Tesla where your messages go in a black hole. I would highly recommend Axia for your solar needs.

Axia Solar made it very easy for my parents to go solar. They were very communicative throughout the process and patient with all of our questions. Hadley and Jasper both made everything easy to understand. I also really appreciated the model Jasper showed us when quoting us for the project as it helped us better visualize what the house would look like post solar. The best part is our panels are made in America!

I got proposals from three major solar companies. Axia was far and away the best overall; best presentation, best equipment; and best price. Mike M is very professional and sold me in our first zoom. The fulfillment team was also very competent, and guided the project through some tough patches with their installer/subcontractor. I am extremely happy with the Qcell/Enphase system and app. I have already referred a couple friends to Axia.

Team at Axia was professional and communicated all way through the process to keep me updated. Hadley especially ensured that I was updated across the key steps via txt and email. I am super glad to have engaged Axia for this critical investment for our house and get a step closer to a greener future.

The overall process from start to finish was quite smooth with just a minor hiccup to be expected in any project of this magnitude.  Once the sale closed the Delivery team took over and Hadley H project managed the installation. She kept me informed every step of the way and was a pleasure to work with.

I want to appreciate the satisfactory services rendered by Sam h. He showed his kindness, enduration, and warm-hearted care for me even when several times changed in the situation concerning credit assessment and the number of panels.

Installation went perfect , the panels were installed in one day and look great. I would give 5 stars if there wasn't a lack of communication. We weren't given a date when the panels would be active. I downloaded the app but wasn't given any instruction on how it worked or even what I was looking at. So i am giving 4 stars for lack of communication.

We had a rough start as we wanted a unit mounted on our barn but it would have required a lot of additional cost for trenching. The people who came out to e valuate our situation were not knowledgeable but when Casper, a supervisor, talked to us, he helped us decide a better and less expensive placement option for the system. Installation went quickly and smoothly. Staff were very nice to work with. We found Anabelle particularly responsive and helpful

We had an amazing experience with Axia Solar. Joe was very upfront and helpful in explaining all the details. The project from start to finish just took a month with all the permitting. The prices was very competitive when compared with other companies. Also, the warranties provided by them are best in the industry.

Mike was my point person on the order and setup he did a fabulous job painless! Then Annabelle took over for the installation and she did a wonderful job! Telling me what and whom to expect at every corner. Great experience thanks.

I had wonderful experience with Hadley from Axia. Though there are quite a few challenging issue with installation company, Hadley was able to help me 24/7 support though the phone/text message.

Great people and service. Michael M, Anibelle and installation team were great through out the complete process. Great experience and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Felt totally misled by the solar consultant. I was not notified that Axia sub contracts all their installs. I was told all in one company with 25 year warranties. Was sold their oldest back stock equipment.

Axia is using best in class products for solar panels (QCells) and inverters (Enphase)
