I have been a customer of Altaray Solar for almost two years. Within that timeframe I have reached out to them on several occasions on various topics concerning my solar panels. I had my roof replaced and Greg was extremely helpful in getting the panels off the roof prior to the roof contractors arriving at the house. He worked with well into the evening. I reached out to Guss a few weeks ago about an issue with my panels not producing enough power and he immediately gave me a diagnosis as well as contacted Greg about fixing the problem. Guss also informed me that since the issue was caused by them that Alatray would reimburse my monthly solar payment. Greg immediately contacted me about when he'll be able to fix the problem and within a week the problem was corrected. Greg kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. Both Guss and Greg were very helpful and I appreciate their extra effort to make sure that I was taken care of and that the issue was corrected.

We were contacted by another Solar Company last year. When the salesman arrived at our house he didn't even have a piece of paper or anything to write with. So when my husband said he had made an appt. with another Solar company. My first thought was, here we go again. However, when the salesman from ALTARAY arrived he was professional, well prepared, answered all our questions. All of the people from ALTARAY were always professional, friendly, and well trained in their field. Everything that ALTARAY had control over was always done in a timely manner. The only snags were from our Town Inspection rules and waiting for a permit to operate from XCEL.

Altaray is a terrible company, avoid at all cost! They made false promises on how their product works in order to get a sale, caused damage to our property when installing the electrical for the panels, and we are paying on the loan and the system isn't up and running yet. This has been a lone seven month process, and now we're told that they are no longer in business. I contacted the Attorney General, Xcel Energy, and both of the banks and all are investigating Altaray. Just found out today that Altaray has had their Electrical and Contractors licenses revoked this month. The bank we have our loan through ( DCU) is trying to figure out what they are going do for all of the Altaray customers who are now left in the dark. What a Nightmare!

Be careful when dealing with this company. We signed the contract in November of 2018. Panels were installed in December WITHOUT securing the proper permits. I ended up going to our courthouse to file the necessary documents in order the get an inspection. How the system passed inspection is something I don't understand as we are now in July 2019 and the system is still not working properly. The people who work for Altaray are very nice but nothing gets done. So many phone calls and missed appointments. The techs were supposed to be here yesterday between 10 - 10:45. Yeah, right. After I called several times demanding to speak to a manager (is there one?) I was told the techs were on their way. They arrived at 6:00 and did nothing!! This is the worst company. Reimbursements take months to receive. I wish that I had never heard of Altaray Solar!

Worst company ever, we had our panels installed about 2 years ago, it took this company almost 12 months to turn them on. 1. They put the panels on our house using plans for another house. So they had to re-do the plans with the city and get a new approval. 2. failed inspections 5 times, a couple of times they didn't even show up for the city inspection and had to request another time. 3. finally able to turn the system on and they didn't even come to our house, they gave me instructions over the phone to turn it on. 4. No manual, no training, no contact information..... 5. Now our system has a failure and I have called 4 times, each time I am told we will call you back tomorrow to get a technician set up to come look at the issue. Just called again and got "We will have our manager call you back with a date/time". Beyond frustrated, we thought we were doing the right thing by going solar. I honestly wish we would have never done this. Just another expense that we are not getting any benefit from so far this year. Think really hard before you use this company. UPDATE: We have called every day this week, finally promised someone would be to our house Friday to fix the solar panels. Of course they were a no show. And when we called to find out where they were no one knew. The manager Who said they would be here is not responding to my text. When we called, they said he was already gone for the day and that we have to wait until next week. Maybe it's time to get Gephardt to investigate or an attorney, total waste of a TON of money. WORST company I have ever dealt with in my life. Please someone from Altaray actually read and respond, so I can tell you how I really feel.

Our experience has been nothing but the best. The salesperson Jared has been available since day 1 and always answers if I call. They have the best deals around as well.

If you are reading this, look up the news stories about this company. I'm guessing they are about to file bankruptcy as they haven't spoken to a customer in over 2 months and certified letters are being returned. My system didn't run for 9 months and they couldn't figure it out. Took another solar company i reached out to 2 hours to figure it out.

This company is defrauding people! They are not returning voicemails, answering calls, answering texts, nothing. Our loan company gave Altaray a portion of the loan to pay the roofers, but they have not received one penny and are now coming after us for the money. Don't even talk to this company! I don't even want solar panels after this experience. Who can you trust?

chosen. Would rate 0 stars if available. Panels installed 8 Jul 2019. After install Altaray has done nothing to complete the project. They never completed final inspection. They did not schedule county inspection. Both are required to connect to the Grid. I have nothing but additional weight on my roof. Altaray will not answer calls, texts, or any method of contact. DO NOT ENTER CONTRACT WITH ALTARAY.

Altaray Solar is a company that is best to avoid. Their installation and unethical operations is subprime at best. How would you feel if you paid them their money for a product that didnt work for over a year? Their staff is unexperienced and they have a super high turnover. You're promised reimbursements but don't expect those for three to four months. They install without permits and when they do finally get it. The job fails three inspections. No wonder solar has a bad name. These guys are the epitome of scam artists.
