From the first contact with this company meeting with their people in the planning stage throughout the work being performed, they were very courteous and explained everything thoroughly. I’ve never owned a solar system, but I feel I have the general knowledge to explain to people how the entire solar system works. I’ve only had my system working for a few weeks, but comparing what it’s producing to that of my neighbors and others that have solar it appears to be working and producing appropriately

We have a new construction home and wanted to install solar panels. The installation process, the costs associated, and the approvals required were very clearly explained. Once they received the go-ahead, they finished all the approval steps and installations in a timely manner. The technicians were also very kind and explained all the steps that they were going to perform with patience. There was no delay in any of the steps and we started receiving PV power within 3 months of starting the project. They also provide a useful app where we can track the power from each individual panel. Everything is working smoothly. Highly recommend one solar.

The company represented themselves in a good manner. My only negative is that when they decided on the number of panels based on my prior usage, they didn’t mention that APS would pay 7.8 cents per kWh, but my off peak rate I pay for usage is 12.345 cents per kWh. Without a storage device, I can never come out ahead. I’m paying approximately $45 more per month since getting the panels installed.

Hard to give an overall rating as we’ve only been “on-line” for less than two weeks. Check back in a year ; ). We’ve actually dealt with four companies during the process: 1-Valor Roofing. Did the presentation and contract 2-1Solar. System installation 3-Enphase. System manufacturers and online(app) support 4-Dividend. Financing. Only glitch seems to be here. Paid off “loan” as soon as we received our PtO. Still getting notifications that auto-pay will start soon. Not your problem? Overall good experience. Need to see how things work out after some more time online. As far as being a paying customer of 1Solar, based on the above, we’re paying customers of a handful of folks Only ding on your customer service is the installation crew was about four hours late from when we were told they would be on-site. I was in the trades, so understandable but a phone call/text would have been appreciated

AWEFUL AND THEY LIE. Nothing is as I was told. WAY overpriced and I still pay hundreds of dollars to the Power company. I was told that there were no need for more solar panels when in fact they did not even put up in the spots I was told and IT DID need more panels because the panels I got did not cover even half of the amount they should have. The only thing they did correctly was install quickly but that was just so they can start billing. FRAUD

Rather than save money, I chose to go big with a system that provides 150% of my power, as well as batteries in the garage, and a SPAN panel to manage power draw during an outage. The install was an excellent adventure, but 1 Solar navigated the permits and inspections for me, so it was pretty smooth sailing. There were a couple of bumps, but nothing that they couldn't iron out in a timely manner. The install crew was amazing, and made sure that everything looked good, and worked well. I was always advised of what the next step was throughout the process, and I even got AC installed as part of the deal! The system looks good, and works great. I've exported 563.8 kwh so far, which will cover snowy/cloud covered days. We've also kept power through 3 power outages so far, and I couldn't be happier.

The sales member, Alex T, was very informative and was able to answer all my questions. The team that handled all the permits and paperwork took the burden off of me so I could work my regular job and not devote a bunch of time to setting this up. The installation team was respectfully of my property. So far I’ve had the solar panels up and working since March and have had a zero $ Xcel bill!

I think what was the best service was the follow-up after the excellent installation. The coordination with the local power company was smooth and complete. In addition to the genuine concern for a successful installation and activation was the ongoing communication regarding the status of the system.

My first company, lumio, was great at first and got my back panels put on and working quickly, but 1solar was even better with my front system, and they are the ones who actually got my electric bill down to $0.00! Needed some paperwork which took me two days to get those but ultimately I received it and had a smooth installation. So far I have been able to reduce my bill from $200.00/ month to $130.00 now. The salesman told us if we needed to reroof, they would remove and restall 1x for free... Nope, they wanted $8,000. They did a crappy job installing the control panels and wiring, and had to redo that, leaving holes all over in our siding. They destroyed sections of the roof under the panels. We had to remove our solar 3 years after install, to reroof. One of their technicians took a LITERAL CRAP on our roof, under the panels. (I have pictures to prove it). They have been a joke from the beginning. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

Reps were always available and returned communication quickly. Our project was delayed for quite a while (not 1solar’s fault) and we ended up having to start payments for the solar system before it was installed. The point of installing solar was because the solar bill would be cheaper than our electricity bill, so paying both at the same time was rough.

Don’t do it, Don’t do it, Don’t do it! This is by far the worst experience with a company I have ever had. I’ve been dealing with solar1 since April… solar panels still not operating and it’s September! I’ve talked with several customer service reps, Michelle H and Matt S and still NOTHING! Nobody can give me answers! This is ridiculous. I’m about to start paying through my loan and panels are not operational….. Again since APRIL. The absolute worst communication. My friends and neighbors went with other companies and as an average they had their panels up and running within 4 weeks. Not solar1….we are going on 5 months!!! 100% unacceptable! Do not go with 1solar! If I could leave negative stars I would.

This company is an absolute deceiving nightmare! I would never ever use them if I had the opportunity again! It started off with their sales person Craig S., he came off as the best guy in the world, turns out he was the biggest liar in the world! They tell you that you are going to get a ton of money back from your income tax return because of the solar panels... Which is part of their trick to lure you in...& in reality you don't even get a 10th of it back! When they installed the solar panels... They literally broke over a 100 roof tiles, They refused to replace all the tiles that they broke even though I had surveillance cameras on my house in it shows them breaking the tiles! They failed the 1st city inspection.. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life! If you getting solar panels beware! And now I'm looking at the submit button for this review, and the only option is to hit the word amazing! So just info for you... I do not find this company amazing at all, it's just another one of their tricks!

Stay vary far away from this company. The installers missed 60% of the truss anchors that hold the panels to the roof, On top of that they LEAK. They have no workmanship warranty at all. If you read this and still work with this company. YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING COMING TO YOU. ALL OF IT. THIS IS A REAL WARNING TO HELP PROTECT THE CONSUMER. Check out every review of every company you get quotes from, and do it in front of them and talk to them about it. Then you'll know the real P.O.S. sitting in front of you or not. I have not see any change in my electric bill. I honestly do not believe my pana S were installed properly . It’s that or they didn’t install enough panals for my home. Also it harder for me to get someone to respond to me in this issue. So now I am paying for an install that doesn’t even work so to make a long story short instead of savings all I have done is add another bill to my already financial low status.

They keep dropping the ball over and over again forgetting to schedule me. The build has been completed since January and they forgot to schedule the final inspection. They finally got the final inspection done 2 weeks ago and it failed. Haven’t heard from anyone about getting the electrician out to fix the problem. I signed nearly a year ago. This is a joke.
