App is easy to use but does not update regularly. Therefore you may be viewing homes that already are under contract or have sold. Good for scouting an area, but wouldn't rely on it for up-to-date housing market info.

Zillow's estimates are hard to decipher, especially when an estimate for a delapidated home in an OK neighborhood in Montgomery County MD lists for more than $500K when other larger and remodeled homes around it are estimated at nearly $100K less. Same with under-estimates that are based on some arcane and not well-defined criteria that does not make sense. Why does Zillow even offer estimates when they are so far off of what the real value is, including actual home sales in the area?

This corporate giant does a great job at not showing you the whole picture of what a property really looks like. Our realtor constantly warned us that Zillow was notorious for misleading on true square footage and a few other key information. This site does not offer the confidence you want when making when of the biggest purchases of one's life.

Not all the information was provided on listing of the land we purchased. At the closing, we found out it was an association. The realtor blamed this company for not having all the information. I blamed her because she wrote the listing and the company published what was given to them.

Easily accessible. Filtering needs upgrade. When you filter for single family home, 4 plus bdrms, 2 plus bath, pets, minimum and maximum amount I will pay for rent, I get results for everything from studio to 3bd and an absurd monthly rent amount. Not pet friendly! Actually they should revamp thier entire search app!
