The Good

  • All-in-One Realty Service
  • Established Since 2009

All-in-One Realty Services

eXp is an all-in-one realty platform. Through eXp’s various services, realtors not only connect with future clients but receive essential realty tools and training. Homeowners and homebuyers can buy and sell homes, explore home pricing through detailed filters, get free home estimates, and find specific real estate agents.

eXp Preferred Partners offers transaction services with mortgages and title and escrow. ExpressOffers (one of eXp’s branches) enables homeowners to get multiple offers without staging or showing their home. The eXp enterprise seems like a one-stop shop for agents and customers.

Established Since 2009

eXp has been offering services since 2009. The company has over 12 years of experience under its belt. Like with most companies, longevity shows evidence of innovation, quality service, and reliability.

The Bad

  • Limited Areas
  • Negative Customer Experiences

Limited Areas

eXp’s search tool shows several locations throughout the world, mainly in the United States. The map of listings displays densely populated areas with high numbers of listings and prices. However, locations outside big cities are scarce. For example, the entire state of Idaho only has a few known listings. Depending on a homebuyer’s desired area, eXp might not be able to connect them with a local real estate agent or home.

Negative Customer Experiences

eXp’s website shows no client testimonials or reviews. External sites show some of the company’s reviews. The majority of the reviews were negative. Many past homebuyers mentioned the poor skills and unprofessionalism of their agents. While eXp trains and provides tools to its agents, it might not be enough.

The Bottom Line

Overall, eXp provides services to homebuyers, home sellers, and real estate agents. Sellers can receive free home estimates and agent connections. Buyers can browse areas, prices, and agents. Through eXp, agents can receive training tools and connect with clients.

Many homebuyers and sellers have had negative experiences with eXp’s agents. Also, depending on the client’s area, eXp might not be able to provide services to them.
