There's a free version of ChristianMingle available but it is very limited on features, and only allows member to see their messages and updates. You can't actually send messages back to members until you choose a subscription plan. Site Features

Expensive Monthly Subscription

The free version of ChristianMingle is so limited it really doesn't allow users to date. Members can only review matches or messages with the free version.  You can't actually interact with other members until you pay for a subscription which can cost up to $29.99 per month.

Scattered Events

ChristianMingle offers live or local events but they only have 4 listed, and they seem to be far from appealing. They have coffee type mixers available in their events, but planning and organization are minimal and really don't draw much focus to the event.  I'm not sure what the turn out is on these events, but what they have scheduled doesn't seem welcoming at all for the average dater.

No Verification

ChristianMingle does not verify information in profiles - not even through email confirmation. They also do not conduct background checks on members. ChristianMingle does ask users to report and/or block spammy or inappropriate members.

Unknown Matching Process

When you sign up for ChristianMingle.com, there is an option to view your matches. However, users take no personality tests and the site mentions nothing about a matching algorithm, so it is unclear how matches are made.

Negative App Reviews

The Christian Mingle iOS app has over 550 reviews and an average rating of 2.5/5 stars. Common complaints include that the app is glitchy notification, errors, and poor user experience. The Google Play app has 2.8k reviews, and an average rating of 3.1/5 stars. Many users give extreme reviews (either 5 stars or 1 star). Complaints on the Google app are similar to complaints on the iOS app.
