While Win-Dor may not offer the comprehensive range of window styles available from many other companies — many companies offer double hung windows, bay windows, bow windows, etc., in addition to the styles outlined above — what sets Win-Dor’s window products apart is their innovative hybrid construction. By integrating rigid aluminum framing with long-lasting, low-maintenance vinyl capping, these windows achieve a balance of strength, energy efficiency, and ease of upkeep that is uncommon among competitors. This unique combination ensures structural integrity while minimizing maintenance.

Window Customization Options

Win-Dor offers a comprehensive range of window customization options, allowing homeowners to tailor their windows to their specific aesthetic and functional preferences. These options include a variety of colors, including the innovative WinShield® technology, and a range of aesthetically-pleasing grid styles.

Win-Dor Window Color Options

All Win-Dor windows are crafted from high-quality 100 percent virgin vinyl, available in white or beige. These colors are consistent throughout the company’s window products, hardened to withstand harsh elements, and will not peel, chip, or require repainting.

To provide greater customization opportunities, Win-Dor provides several color categories to suit diverse design needs, including the following:

• Standard colors — A selection of popular painted exterior coatings is available. Each color is bonded to the vinyl surface, enhancing heat reflectivity. These finishes are scratch and chip-resistant, designed to endure various weather conditions while optimizing energy efficiency.
• Semi-custom colors — For those seeking additional exterior color options, Win-Dor offers semi-custom colors. These may require longer production lead times; consulting with the factory is recommended for more information.
• WinShield® technology colors — WinShield is a specialty laminate composed of multiple layers of durable and highly reflective materials. This technology enhances strength and heat reflectivity, performing exceptionally well even in extreme environments. WinShield is virtually maintenance-free, more durable than traditional paints, and provides consistent color across multiple products, reducing variations.

Win-Dor Window Grid Options

To further personalize windows, Win-Dor offers the following grid types and patterns:

• Grid types
  • Grids Between Glass (GBG) Flat — grids are placed between panes of glass, offering a smooth surface for easy cleaning
  • GBG Sculptured — similar to flat GBG but with a contoured profile for a more traditional appearance
  • Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) Flat — grids are applied to the exterior of the glass, mimicking the look of individual panes
• Grid patterns
  • Standard — evenly spaced grids creating a classic look
  • Prairie — grids forming a perimeter around the window, leaving the center clear
  • Marginal — grids placed only in specific sections of the window for a unique design
  • Perimeter marginal — similar to marginal but with grids outlining the window's edge

It’s important to note that not all colors and grid options may be available with all Win-Dor window series.

Win-Dor Window Warranties

​Win-Dor offers a limited lifetime warranty for its window products, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This warranty covers the following window components:

• Window components — all operating parts, including locks, handles, rollers, and balancers, are warranted against material defects in manufacturing
• Insulated glass units (IGUs) — protection against seal failures that result in moisture between glass panes
• Painted or laminated surfaces — painted surfaces are covered for ten years from the purchase date, covering issues like significant cracking, peeling, or blistering

It’s important to note that the Win-Dor limited lifetime warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, natural weathering, or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or inadequate maintenance. Additionally, Win-Dor warranty coverage doesn’t extend to alterations or modifications made post-installation, including the application of tints, films, or improper cleaning agents.​

Win-Dor is a window manufacturer and doesn’t provide in-house installation services. For this reason, the company has an expansive dealer network that is authorized to install Win-Dor products across the country. For some customers this may be a drawback as they might prefer to have installations done by the manufacturer itself. However, it isn’t common for window manufacturers to offer installation services, as their service area would be limited to the area in which they are headquartered, significantly limiting the company’s business opportunities.

No Financing Options

Win-Dor doesn’t offer any financing options. Some of the company’s authorized dealers may offer financing, but you’ll need to communicate with your dealer directly to determine what options are available, if any.
