The Moving Kings is an Austin, Texas moving company that handles local, residential, commercial, and office moves around Austin and its surrounding area, along with long-distance moves across Texas. These Austin movers also pack, unpack, crate, and move belongings into and out of storage units, and the company describes its focus as luxury and white-glove moving for high-value items and fine furniture.
A long-distance job starts with the customer sharing locations, move date, home or office size, and special requirements; the team then reviews access conditions such as stairs, elevators, parking restrictions, and building rules before reserving a crew and a 26′ moving truck for the confirmed date.
The Good
- TxDMV and USDOT Registered, With Liability Coverage
- Packing, Unpacking, and Crating
- Office and Commercial Relocations Built Around Downtime
- Moves Into and Out of Storage Units
- Blankets, Stretch Wrap, and Mattress Bags on Long Hauls
TxDMV and USDOT Registered, With Liability Coverage
The company lists a TxDMV number and a USDOT number, carries general liability insurance, and describes itself as a licensed and insured mover that provides the required moving documentation for each service.
Packing, Unpacking, and Crating
Crews bring their own boxes, tape, and wrap, pack everything from glassware to bulky furniture, and unpack and arrange items at the new home; packing and unpacking can be hired separately.
Office and Commercial Relocations Built Around Downtime
For offices, stores, and other business facilities, the team handles packing, labeling, transport, and setup of furniture and equipment, with the stated aim of keeping business interruption to a minimum, including on long-distance office moves.
Moves Into and Out of Storage Units
Belongings headed into storage during a transition, or coming out of a unit for a new home, are prepped, packed, and transported with the same process as a standard move.
Blankets, Stretch Wrap, and Mattress Bags on Long Hauls
On long-distance moves, crews protect belongings with moving blankets, stretch wrap, mattress bags, and other materials, then load and secure them in fully equipped 26′ trucks.
The Bad
- No Storage Facility of Its Own
- Long-Distance Work Is Anchored to Austin
No Storage Facility of Its Own
The company states that it does not provide storage facilities; it moves items into and out of storage, so customers need to arrange their own unit.
Long-Distance Work Is Anchored to Austin
Long-distance service is described as moves to or from the Austin area across Texas, with named routes to San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas, so it fits best for moves that start or end near Austin.
The Bottom Line
The Moving Kings is aimed at Austin-area households moving across town or across Texas, businesses relocating offices or stores, and anyone with fine furniture or high-value pieces who wants a crew that packs, crates, and unpacks as part of the job.
Before booking, use the company’s website to send the move details and flag stairs, elevators, parking limits, building requirements, and any special items, since that review shapes the crew size and equipment reserved for moving day.
