I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn others after an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Let’s Get Moving. I was promised two efficient, professional movers for a simple one-bedroom condo move just 23 minutes away. I specifically told the sales representative that I preferred flat-rate pricing to avoid surprises. He assured me that their movers were highly motivated to work efficiently because their bonuses depend on good reviews. This couldn’t have been further from the truth. What I actually got were two unprofessional and sluggish movers—one of whom spent most of the move directing the other, who was clearly inexperienced and, at one point, caught sleeping in the truck. They made minimal effort, often bringing up a single dolly at a time. It felt like they were dragging out the process intentionally. Far from being trained professionals, it seemed their only training was in how to maximize billable hours. Despite being quoted around $500–$600, I was charged $1,350—not including the cost of replacing a TV they broke. I was verbally told that full insurance was included, which turned out to be false (though I acknowledge I should have read the fine print). After several follow-ups, the company offered me a $75 refund—but only if I signed a waiver agreeing not to take further action or speak negatively about them online. I refused. They also agreed to reimburse me $125 for the broken TV ($375 minus a $250 deductible), but are now withholding that payment unless I sign the same waiver, even though the waiver doesn’t mention the TV reimbursement being conditional. I understand that no move is perfect—but how a company handles problems is what defines them. In this case, I encountered misleading sales tactics, careless service, and a complete lack of accountability. I strongly urge others to look elsewhere.
