Benefits and Discounts
Nationwide wants to help you save money and offers a number of benefits and discounts to do so. For example, those who hold a 12-month policy can receive deductible benefits.
Nationwide offers discounts for members who meet one of the following conditions:
- Multi-policy — combine home, vehicle, or life insurance policies
- Multi-vehicle — bundle two or more of your vehicles, boats, ATBs, snowmobiles or scooters
- Motorcycle safety course — complete an approved course
- Theft-recovery device — add a professionally installed radio or GPS theft-recovery system
- Homeowner — own a home, condo, townhome, or mobile home
- Paid in full — pay your entire policy premium in full when you buy or renew a policy
- Anti-lock brakes — have this system installed on your bike
- Affinity member — be a member of a qualifying partner organization
- Riding Association — be a member of a riding association, such as the Harley Owners Group
Coverage Options
Nationwide provides seven types of coverage in its basic insurance coverage policies:

One of the drawbacks to using Nationwide to insure your motorcycle comes during the claims process. When you have spoken with an agent and they have given you a quote of what they think you may get for the bike if it has been damaged or totalled, you can’t lock-in this amount and be assured that you will receive that amount in the end. Nationwide reserves the right to adjust the amount that it feels the bike is worth regardless of what a local shop or the manufacturer might say. If this deters you, you may want to look for a different company.
