While new, Oscar has good experience in the health insurance industry making health plans simple and affordable.

No Part D, A, or B

Oscar does not offer Medicare Parts D, A, or B. Medicare Parts A and B make up Original Medicare. Part A is hospital insurance. Part B is medical insurance. Medicare Advantage plans combine the Part A and Part B coverage into one plan.

Medicare Part D offers coverage for prescription drugs. If you need coverage for prescriptions, you may have to purchase a Medicare Part D plan from another company.

The Bottom Line

While Oscar is new to Medicare Advantage plans, it has good experience in the health insurance industry. It’s become a trusted health insurer. Those seeking Medicare Advantage plans may want to try Oscar. As with any health plan, it’s important to carefully review the coverage and cost to make sure it meets your health and financial needs.

Because they are refusing to pay for a stint for glacoma that is covered by medicare, after I paid 7350.00 deduct and 646.00 a month in premiums, I cannot give Oscar high marks.
