Oscar started offering Medicare Advantage plans for 2020. Since Oscar is new to Medicare Advantage plans, some may prefer to choose a company with more Medicare-related experience.
While new, Oscar has good experience in the health insurance industry making health plans simple and affordable.
Oscar does not offer Medicare Parts D, A, or B. Medicare Parts A and B make up Original Medicare. Part A is hospital insurance. Part B is medical insurance. Medicare Advantage plans combine the Part A and Part B coverage into one plan.
Medicare Part D offers coverage for prescription drugs. If you need coverage for prescriptions, you may have to purchase a Medicare Part D plan from another company.
