I found Medical Guardian through a Google search. My mom fell and was alone so we decided we needed to get something for her. She has the Medical Guardian necklace and base unit so that if she falls, she can call for help. My experience with the sales representatives was good and the equipment has been fine.

Last April I fell in my kitchen and broke my leg, a neighbor heard me call for help so I was only on the floor for an hour that was followed by three months in a wheel chair. Better late than never, I purchased Medical Guardian. It is amazing that the pendent around my neck can give me such peace of mind.

very easy set up. i would given a 10 but the wait time to speak to a human to activate the device was over 10 minutes. the unit worked the first time we tested it, the response to the test emergency was quick and the audible was excellent from the speaker.

I was impressed with the company description and services as claimed on the website. However, after the initial equipment I received broke upon plugging it in, I phoned the company to ask for a replacement. The CSR responded by telling me the equipment cost $300 and I would have to pay for it. She I somehow carelessly broke it and was responsible. Only afterword did she read that I had just received it and also have paid for equipment breakage coverage. I didn't like being accused of damaging the equipment.

It was a mostly positive experience except that we were shipped two devices instead of one and had to go to the trouble of returning the duplicate device. That caused a flurry of misunderstandings as MG thought we were cancelling the service when they received the return shipment of the duplicate device. The only other "do better" is that MG requires you to pay three months up front. After the three months, I set up the payments from a checking account. I was asked to pay quarterly and had to ask if it cost to pay monthly and was told it did not. I am paying monthly but I feel it should be MG's responsibility to tell their customers that they have the option to pay monthly or quarterly. I should not have had to ask. Other than that, the product works well and we are satisfied.

I ordered the wrist button, but got the neck pendant. I called and was told it would come overnight shipment. Four days later it had not come. When I called there was no record of it having been shipped. This time it came but was missing the return label they were to send for the pendant. Otherwise the setup went fine, also the testing.

He may have worked a little too hard at selling me the device, as I already knew this was what we needed as long as it worked in the area Dad is. I would like to ad that when I called for an additional question the next day he was also very helpful in then directing me to the appropriate people to help me.

Would like to suggest that interviewer not refer to clients children as "your kids"etc be professional. Anxious for product to arrive.

The issue of the overcharge was finally resolved. It did require multiple emails and sending a copy of my statement to resolve but after that it was completed in an acceptable time. However, the product was misrepresented by their sales person. The sales person stated that the mobile guardian was misrepresented on the website and had unlimited range, not the 350Feet advertised on their website. What we found out was that we would have to also carry the voice box with us which was not what I was told by the salesperson. I have now sent it back and was promised a full refund by medical guardian. As long as the full refund is given I will be satisfied.
