I didn't really shop around much. I just saw and ad for the medical alert and got it since I fall a lot and I'm handicapped. I wear it constantly, day and night. One night I had a really bad fall and no one was close by for me to reach them. I was glad I had medical alert with me because they were quick to respond to me and get an ambulance. I'm thankful that I had it and I could reach the hospital. The only thing is that I wish I could use the device while away from home. The thing is not really expensive, but it's worth it.

At the time it was the only one I had heard of. I generally take the GPS with me when I leave the house since I like having it with me. If I have any questions they have no problem when giving me good answers. I've tested the device and it works well. If there's ever any problem or if it needs to be replaced, I know right away because they call me to let me know.

It was the only service that I looked at, I just got it. I wear it all day and night, though I was told I shouldn't wear it at night time. They actually sent me another one so I could wear one at night time and the other during daytime, but I honestly think it's a bit of a hassle. The one that I have was actually upgrades to a smaller thing now. I haven't really had to push the button for an emergency yet, but customer support seems to be ok. I hope I never have to test it, I've fallen enough already, but so far so good. I haven't had any problems with it. It is a little expensive though.

I've had it for so long that I don't even remember why I got it exactly. It was probably because of its price. I've never had to use it, but I test it every month or so. It seems to work ok and it makes me feel safe to have it. I got the one that detects falls on its own and it's really touchy. I've set the thing off a few times without realizing it. Still, I haven't had any problems with it.

I try to put it on as soon as I get up in the morning and I wear it till I go to bed at night. If I need extra safety, I wear it all night in case I have to get up and go to the bathroom. I've never used it for an emergency, but I test it every month. I like it because I can carry it with me when I travel, in case something happens. Since I travel alone very often to go to Texas, it's really convenient.

I've had it for many years because I live alone and I'm handicapped. I recently got upgraded to the one that you can just carry with you instead of using the machine. I can still drive, and I have a walker and a wheelchair, so I can wear it around my neck all the time. I guess the only downside is that I can't sleep with it, but I keep it next to my bed when I sleep. The only thing is that I haven't done the whole booting up process yet, which caused a problem when I fell a couple of days ago. The thing wasn't working and the base wasn't receiving a call. I was still able to get the doorknob and get my dog to get to my phone and call 911. The EMT were able to get to me and help me up. Customer service has been very friendly and nice about everything though.

I've used it a couple of times, once for my husband and twice for myself. On one of those occasions, I fell and pressed the buzzer. Since I was too far away, I couldn't get to the speakers, but they sent people anyways. They knocked on the door and were very prompt. The people that came were very polite, helped me up, and dusted me off. The res ponders, usually from the fire department, are also very nice and helpful. Even when my cat accidentally hits the buzzer, I jut call them to let them know that it was a mistake and they are very nice and patient about the situation. They have a lot of patience with one's disability. Medical Alert has given me new courage, especially when it comes to falling.

My doctor recommended I get this after my daughter researched it. I'll be 90 soon and he didn't think I should be alone all day because I have a heart condition. I wanted to continue living on my own, I like my independence and so I got Medical Alert. On a typical day, I get up and put it on. I bring it into the bathroom with me, shower, get dressed and I put it on. I take it off when I go to bed and that's that. I've set it off accidentally several times, it is hard not to make it go off. In fact, since I have it set so that it detects falls automatically I've set it off sometimes like that. We did have a problem once while ordering, but my daughter got on the phone with them and the Medical Alert people were very nice about it and fixed the problem. It makes me feel a little safe. It's as if a friend or somebody was always with me to give me the protection that I need.

When my dad was out into his trailer he had bumped the device and did not realize it. They called me and called SWAT to make sure he was ok 'because nobody was responding. They were very quick in responding. Other than that I don't think we've had to use it. I've always had really good information from them and they've helped me set up the Medical Alert system. They're always very pleasant and patient. I'm really happy with them.

I have no problem with it. I just carry it anywhere, tho I haven't had to use it. I've hit it accidentally a couple of times and gotten a good response from them. One time I accidentally set it off and it took a long time before they responded. When I first ordered it they sent me one unit that didn't work, but they got me a new one as quickly as possible. They're fine and they listen to us.

I've only needed it once when I had an anxiety attack. I wasn't sure if it was that or a heart attack so I called them. They were very thorough, double checked with me to make sure that I was ok. They called me back, left a voicemail in fact because my phone was off, and told me they had sent someone to check on me. They were there in a very short time and took very good care of me. It all took 5, maybe 10 minutes. Other than that, I've accidentally set it off several times but they've been very good sports about that.

It was a shot in the dark to get it, but I thought it sounded like a good deal. On a typical day I just wear either the necklace or the bracelet. I really haven't had to use it, which is a blessing, but knowing that it's available if I need it is comforting. I feel comfortable having the necklace device. As soon as anything goes wrong, I just push the button and my family knows right away. My husband also needed it. I chose Medical Alert because it has the GPS and it doesn't confine you to your home. I wear it around my neck all the time, except for when I go to bed. I once fell in my home when my son wasn't around, so I pushed the button. They called and asked me if I needed assistance, I said yes and asked them to call my son. He was able to come over and help me up. They were right on it. They were very professional and I was very satisfied with talking and communicating with them. I recently went on vacation and I was happily surprised to discover that the device also worked down there!

A few weeks ago I fell and I couldn't reach the phone, but thanks to Medical Alert the fire department and my daughter came to help me, they've been there whenever I needed them. I always wear my necklace and my bracelet when I'm doing work around the house and everything, however, a couple of times my necklace went off and they were calling me, but otherwise I had no complaints, I'm happy with it.

The AARP recommended it to me. I still wear the old device, and I have not use the new one, but, I already learned how to use it. I now have the one that I put in my purse and I honestly feel very protected. Their representatives provided me with the information I required. Most of the time I don't even know I'm wearing it. I charge it every night about the same time or so and then it's on for a good 8 hours. Their representatives are very polite when I accidentally set it off, they're right there to check on me anyway. I'm very impressed with the clarity of how they speak to me - it's as if we are almost in the same room. I don't have any problems with not understanding them. I remember I checked them out, to me it sounded the best company and it runs about a dollar and a half or so per day, it's pretty cheap security. I am honesty pleased with it.

My overall experience has been great. I got Medical Alert because I wanted the GPS, to talk right into the microphone to tell what I need, and also because they're less expensive. They have served us well for our aging mother on several occasions. More specifically three weeks ago when my mother phoned me wanting me to come to her, over 30 miles away, because she didn't feel well. After hearing her symptoms I told her to push medic alert immediately and I would meet her at hospital. My mother was suffering a heart attack and we were told by her physicians if she had not called she may have died. Thank you from a grateful family!

We love it! My mom and I just absolutely love it. It gives me the freedom to leave the house occasionally without leaving her helpless. If I described their customer service, I'd say they have me at the highest satisfaction. We've just been so happy with them because I've left her alone a couple of times, and my mom has had to use them. They call me and the police. They are just awesome! If someone has an elderly parent, this service gives you a little more freedom. You don't worry as much because you know that if something happens, they have your back.

My device is way too sensitive. If it drops 2-3 inches, it activates. I've had it activate more than once when I turn over in bed. In my opinion, it should activate only if it drops 1-2 feet.

I do not like calling, now all I can get is AI to talk to unless I can get through on billing, and then if I scream they transfer me to a person. I was on phone yesterday with them from around 10am on and problem not resolved till I called back at 530pm, after waiting for 2.5 hours for them to call me back, I was told I would get a call in 1-2 hours after my conversation, I do not believe I will renew at the end of my term, this is a medical emergency line and it is understaffed, the help you have is wonderful but you do not have enough, I should not have to be on hold to cancel an alarm or to get a service issue fixed. This was my 2nd time with issues since last September, 1st time I waited over a week with no monitor waiting on a new one, no credit was offered and I worried all that time about my husband, I honestly do not feel secure with your service any longer.

The price is high for seniors on a fixed income. Also when we got it and set it up. It said to test so we tested it and instead of the person talking through the box they were calling on the phone. If my grandmother falls she may not have her phone with her thats why we got the medical alert button.

Response is wonderful. We have the we have the watches. Unfortunately my husband is hard of hearing so he doesn’t know if his watch goes off and EMS has come out twice when not needed. The watch does not vibrate but only talks to you and he can’t hear it.

I did my research and picked Medical Alert for their excellent ratings by independent raters. Then I got a really good price for all I received--including a door lock. They have been responsive when I asked for a new cord for my button, and have always answered very quickly when I have called with questions. I recommend this company.

It’s a wonderful device but the one thing I don’t understand I paid for a lockbox and I never received it so that’s the only bad thing I talked to fella on the phone and I paid $23 and some change a month but never received the lockbox for my mom‘s house

It hiver me comfort to know help will be available when i really need it. I have fallen more times than i can count. Because of my knees & insufficient strength in my arms i cant get myself up again. When I accidentally pushed my medical alert button in my jeans pocket by leaning into a table and didn't yet know how to stop the call, we had two EMTS coming through our front door within minutes by accessing the lockbox outside near the door. It was all very impressive both the response time and the attitude of the two responding techs.

I got this for my 92 year old mother after a near fatal battle with Covid. She’s actually used it once already, and I have to give them high marks for the expeditious service they provided. They called the ambulance and then me, and though I’m only 5 minutes from her, the EMT’s were already in the house and attending to her before I got there! High marks for that! So why did I only give 3out of 5 stars? That’s due to the relentless hounding that their sales staff hammers you with after the purchase! Calling under the auspices of “have you tested your pendant lately?”, the call quickly turns into a sales pitch to get you to buy add ons! Two weeks after my mother used hers in a situation that had her transported to the hospital, the sales people called once again saying “the pendant hasn’t been tested or used!”. Once again, just an ill researched attempt to make another sale!

In the second week that I had it I had to push the button and they answered me right away. They Hecould hear me saying something but not understand but asked if I needed help and heard me say yes and sent the ambulance. I don’t like that they want to tack on $7.99 month for damage insurance.

I'm happy with the medical alert except for one thing that bothers me (1) I wear it all time as instructed. (2) I have both the pendant and the wrist bracelet, but I am a Decorative Artist and I paint large decorative items such as chairs, end tables, trunks, etc., which require moving them around, etc. to paint them. In the process, I have very frequently accidentally brushed them and set off the alarm. I live alone and the base is downstairs so I do not know I've done it until the ambulance and attendants are at my door. This could so easily be prevented if the button on my person could make a sound or beep when accidentally set off and I could cancel it. It makes no sound and I cannot hear the alert from upstairs in my studio. This has happened 10 or 12 times in the last couple of years. I do however appreciate the prompt response the teams give to the alarms. In the event it was a necessay alert they are very quick, responsive and so caring.

I feel like medical alert is really watching over me. I accidentally dropped my alert after I had taken it off and my mobile device sounded right away. In the past I have had it connect with a live person to double-check and be sure I was okay. They are so thorough and understanding.

I'm well pleased with Medical Alert. The only problem I've had is has been that one day, a week or so ago, the Life Squad visited me twice in one day, because the alert button summons them, though I hadn't pressed the button

It is cumbersome in that it uses the landline. In one situation, the response was not quick enough that we actually had to initiate a call to 9-1-1 and could not use the landline but a cell phone. While on the cell phone with dispatch is when the Medical Alert team came over the system to ask if we needed assistance. Otherwise, the response has usually been timely even with a false alarm.
