It works! I was taking a shower and although, you can wear it in the shower, I hung it on a towel bar within my reach. It wasn't secure on the towel bar and fell to the floor. Immediately the alarm went off and within seconds an operator was on the unit asking if I was needing help. I explained that I was okay and that it fell on the floor accidently and I was okay. I felt foolish, but, relieved that it worked and she heard my voice.

I did not know it needed cellular. I don’t have any . We moved the base to every window. I was going to return it but kept it hooked up while I looked for another brand. Today I knocked over my walker and a friend came to me saying someone is talking in the kitchen. I went and turned it off quickly and in time to cancel the call. The fall button is very sensitive. I will keep it and make sure it works. I have it facing the window and in it is under pendant light. I had called to make sure the call was cancelled. When I was setting it up I didn’t realize I hit the button. All of a sudden 2 police and 2 paramedics were at my door. Q

The main reason I got a Medical Alert it was because of my wife, she works on Swing Shift. She always little busy during the day all the time. I am US Disabled Veteran and I have other disabilities too. When you are homebound disabled person, YOU have to make YOU strong. People Will - stop dropping in, stopping by for a visit and in end, the phone calls now have been far and few. I didn't want to be alone while she was out and working. So Gussie, my little dog, he's a long hair wiener dog he thinks he is a German Shepherd. So I thought about getting a Medical Alert. and so I wouldn't hesitate to use it if I need it. So I made my self stronger and independent . VA thinks it's very good for me. I think it's very good for Mark. Mark A Critser Woodburn, OR

I went with this home fall detect unit and had it for 5 months absolutely loved it exclamation. The price was right for myself. The people on the other end for emergency calls are very friendly and helpful one time they were backed up and didn't respond as quick but for the most part they're very fast. They also offered one free month and a lock box. They have Southern Accents no hard to understand foreign language accent. I then decided because I fell twice at work and once walking to call and ask about their mobile units. This is where became frustrating for me the first unit worked for fall detect it was the same price as I was paying for my home device but $10 more for fall detect on the go unit which I thought it was okay and worth it as they would be able to GPS my position. Setup work great fall the tech twerk then in shower it turned on the next day I realize from a fall that fall detector was no longer working so I believe it shorted out they sent me a replacement very quickly within 2 days unfortunately fall detect did not work they sent me another replacement fall the tech did not work on the go unit. Now they are sending me the Elite model for the same price but she has given me two months free for as long as I hold the unit so it works out to be the same price as I was paying for the home unit. I'm hoping that this one will work. Even though my mother is frustrated and says the system is junk which I'm on the edge about technology can fail technology is not a hundred percent. I'm very young and I've been enjoyed the home unit I'm just working out the Kinks for the go unit which I would not recommend the elite unit seems a little more complicated but having more things to carry so I will give it a try. So far service 4 the dispatchers, troubleshooters, and testing anyone that I've spoken with has been so helpful and polite amazing help that is why I'm willing to give the elite a try if it does not work then I would have to say in Canada it's not very good for mobile unit but I will see home unit price was right and comparable to others and very friendly service so yes home unit is good for Canadians with my experience. I hope from Reading other people's reviews if I do decide to go with another service provider that I do not have trouble with finances and getting it back I will write more reviews later

I purchased this service for my parents. I recognize that medical alert systems is a highly competitive arena. Like a lot of industries, the breakout for me is hands down Customer Service. I called today about an issue that my folks were having. I was very impressed with the reps that I talked to. My impression was that was talking to people with a lot of integrity. So much so that I feel that I am new ambassador for "Medical Alert." They are the best!.

Have not had to use this yet, but even when I dropped it, they immediately responded as the “drop” to them was considered a “fall” and they wanted to make sure I was alright! SO nice to know they are there if needed! They even told me not to worry when I apologized for dropping it! They just wanted, again, to make sure I was OK, and would've sent help had I needed it! Like color but, for ladies watch could be smaller. I have small wrist and watch looks really big. Also with a big watch it's easier to hit buttons and make a call not meaning to.

The app is worthless. Whenever we get a quick flash message that a button has been pushed, we don’t know what happened. The notification makes no sound, and goes away after we see it. The bracelet falls off constantly. Emergency services folks are wonderful but we never know the outcome unless we call their direct number.

Very disappointed with the service we have received. I have requested repeatedly that communication only come to me and not my mother and you continue to contact her. Also, we have had difficulty returning an item that doesn't work. No one is capable of sending me a return label for the item so I can send it back. Simple request, but no capable employees!
