Medical Care Alert provided excellent service and assistance in setup. I ordered the equipment and it arrived in two days. The setup directions were easy to understand and straightforward. I've tested the equipment and call center several times and it worked exactly as it was supposed to. I have not had to use it yet in an emergency yet, but if and when I do, I will forward an update

I liked this company's website for all the information it gave. The service offered the essentials of what AARP's article said I should get. I first got a pendant that did not work after I took a shower in it, but then it did when it dried out. I tried this 3 times, as you are supposed to be able to shower in it. Customer service passed me to a technical person and the overnighted a new one out to me. This one is fine. They even fine-tuned it for me, turning the lights off (it came flashing the battery and cellphone light every minute or so--this can be extended to 15 min or turned off). When it turned out I had bad AT&T service (all of these companies use AT&T) in and out of my house, they helped me. The poor signal was shortening my battery life, although wherever I tested it in the house, it worked. I researched it and found out there was an AT&T "microcell" that would take care of my problem. They helped me get it programmed, well above and beyond what they had to do. I am very satisfied with the support they gave me. They care about each customer.

It went pretty good, I guess. It is ongoing because my dad is 92. Yesterday was a false alarm but they contacted me, I get a text message stating what occurred. I am able to call back to see if they were able to reach my father. We've been using them for over a year now and they've been very helpful. I thought the price was very good for the whole year. They come right away. It's beneficial because he needs something inside and outside the home. If we move across the country, it follows us nationwide. If we had to tell them that we moved, they will update it accordingly.

I have already recommended Medical Care Alert to numerous friends. I feel that my Medical Care Alert may have saved my life two months ago. I fell face down on my driveway after losing my balance by stepping on a pinecone. I am 84 years old and live alone. I called for help to no avail. I heard a voice say, "Medical Alert detected a fall. Are you alright." I responded, "No." The alert said, "Are you at home?" I responded, "Yes. On my driveway and bleeding from my head." The alert said, "Do you want me to call 911?" I said, "Yes, please hurry." Within five minutes the emergency crews arrived and transported me to the hospital emergency room. Fortunately, I live close to the hospital. I spent the night in ER and received 15 stitches in my forehead, many X-Rays and two CT Scans. I wear my alert during all of my waking hours. Thank you Medical Care Alert.

I have fallen backwards several times and can not get up on my own. I end up pushing my button to call for help. Medical Alert answers immediately and help comes with in 15 minutes of them being contacted. Plus if my wife is here or not she is contacted that I have called Medical Alert and knows they are on their way. I feel safer with it on me at all times.

I researched what seemed like every alert system & decided on Medical Care Alert. They were the only ones offering a 2-way communication pendant. My dad is extremely hard of hearing so if he needed to talk to someone through a console, he'd barely hear even if he was in the same room. Christine was extremely helpful, knowledgeable & very friendly. Set up was a breeze. Because my dad had a fall, I decided to get the Elite system with fall detector. He's had 2 "false alarms" simply because he has difficulty sitting down without "plopping" into the chair. The responders were so helpful &understanding. Christine prepared me for this likelihood telling me that the system has to "learn"him. After his fall, my dad spent a month in skilled nursing. Even though he values his independence (he insists on continuing to live alone) he was apprehensive about returning home alone. After his first week back home, he's coming along very well for a man of 93 because he's not afraid anymore. He knows someone is always there for him. If it weren't for the need to recharge daily, I'd rate this a 10!

I basically purchased the service because it makes my wife feel better. It's a nuisance for me. I get a response very quickly every time I push the button. Sometimes I just accidentally lean on it, and it goes off, so I have to cancel the emergency alarm. This is probably a good thing if you actually need it. If you don't, it's a nuisance.

I worked at hospitals for long time, and then when I retired it was always good knowing that I could have their service as soon as possible if something should happen. At first it was hard to get used to, but now I'm so used to it. Fortunately, I have never ever had to use it, but it gives you a feeling of satisfaction to know if you did, that there would be someone right away to help you with it, or to help out at the situation. They get back on right away so the service would be immediately available.

Perfect medical alert. Ordered medical care alert for my mother which included motion detector. My mother took a fall and they contacted her immediately, had help on the way and notified me within minutes. Support team is extremely professional and notification is immediate. When I started receiving com care insurance they began paying for my medical alert. I had just paid my quarterly payment and was still within the first month of my quarter, when I canceled my service and returned ALL the equipment as instructed. I was refunded less than10% of the remaining quarterly payment.

Sue not only helped me hook up my moms button, when I ran the test there was an issue and she stayed on the phone while the test was being done. We ran 2 more tests to verify what was really happening, and she stayed on the phone as well. The equipment is very user friendly and is perfect for my grandmother to keep her independence. I don't recommend fall alert unless frequent falls are an issue. Get the basic gps before there is an issue so they can get used to the equipment and add fall detect when it becomes an issue.

I went online looking for an alert system for my dad and decided to try Medical Care Alert. The sales person I spoke with on the phone was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave me her number to call directly if I had further questions. I did call her back and every encounter was pleasant, helpful and concerned. Since my dad received the device, it has been working fine. He is happy that he doesn't have to charge it every three days and he can talk directly to an assistant through the pendant he is wearing should he need help. So far, it seems we have made a good choice. Thanks so much!

Gives us all some relief to know that someone is always there to help. Just a suggestion to make the belt clip a little longer. Dad struggles clipping it on and off his belt and sometimes it clips off because he doesn't have it on well

I was at my neighbors house when I accidentally pressed the panic button. Since I was not at home, and I did not respond to the message left on my phone, an EMT was quickly sent. I then realized that the program worked very well, and that I had made a good choice.

Poor customer service and they do not uphold their 14 day return policy. They count the day it leaves their facility as day 1 and even though it was shipped Ups as requested for return, they Bake sure there is no way you can get it back to the for a full refund. They charged $45 for two day shipping

I do love the security of having a med alert, however I find yours hard to wear. The strap irritates my neck (wish it was made of cotton) and it falls out of the wrist holder if barely knocked against something. So, do I wear it like it was meant to wear? No, I don't........

We just purchased this device for my Mother in Law. So far it is everything that was advertised. Even when the button was pressed accidentally the service was prompt and courteous. The unit is sleek and easy to use. We opted for the fall detection and the lock box and the anywhere gps service. We feel much better now that she is protected.

Scam Alert. Returned equipment as instructed, expecting pro-rated return of prepaid 6-month fee. After reasonable time called and told equipment “looked like had been ripped from wall” and had charged my account additional $182. They provided random pictures that did not show any identification as being equipment I returned. They refused to admit there could be mixup or incurred at their shop. They claimed shipping box not damaged, but did not include that picture. I personally removed from my 96 year old mother’s apartment and shipper attested to fact no damage when returned. Just a scam to collect $300. Do not trust!

BEWARE of charges after you return the system! I ordered the system for my 84 year old aunt. We had it for just about a year with no issues. We recently canceled the services because my aunt moved into a place that had their own system. I called and canceled and returned all the equipment in one box directly from the USPS. I just noticed a charge of $49.95 on my aunts credit card from them. When I called to find out what the charge was about. I was told I didn't returned all items which is so untrue. I have a receipt to prove my return but they are claimimg items were missing when they were not. They refused to credit my account even after I told them I had a receipt they didn't seem to care. This leads me to believe that they may just charge you and hope you don't pick up on it. I paid $600.00 for the year of service and they refuse to credit my card for items I returned, . Horrible way to end a business transaction. The only reason I gave it a 1 was because the woman Gail I ordered from was a pleasure to deal with when I first ordered it. Horrible business pratice.BEWARE

Terrible experience. When order placed, charged credit card immediately, but a few days later, got notice that product is back ordered. No estimate of delivery date. Then when the product arrived, there was one item missing. No offer to replace item. The 14 days trials starts when the item was shipped, not when we received the item. And to return within the 14 days trial period, it is the date when they receive the item. The leaves really less than a week to try the product. When the product was returned, no notice that they had received the product. I had to call to confirm that they got it. And to learn that it takes 3-4 weeks for them to process before I will be credited. That's horrible customer service. They don't care about the customer, only that they make money anyway possible.

I ordered a device and canceled it before it even arrived too my home. My dad was in hospice quickly, with brain cancer. I sent it back and still got charged $ 101.00. I called and the lady hung up on me, and said "that's too bad, you're still getting charged." Your dad dies and you have too deal with this situation also. I seriously can't believe how I was treated, with many witnesses, too hear this woman, on speaker phone, plus witnessing me taking care of my dad passing. They are money hungry. True story! They know what you're going through and take advantage of your emotions. I'll be calling the calling the better business bureau in Michigan.

My mom wears this as a necklace all the time. She's accidentally bumped it against the sink or something and set it off. They called her immediately to see if she needed help. We're very happy with it.
