Bay Area Alarm to date has lived up to the service they claim to provide. I am very impressed and happy with the monitoring they give our family. It does provide a measure of peace of mind. I have found they live up to their advertisements and the equipment provided has performed flawlessly for us. I am aware there are many very good companies that provide like services to many families that have a need in this area of family service and would recommend them as an excellent choice. There is so much static on the line that I am not sure if an emergency call will help me.
Fortunately I have not needed to use my call button for a medical issue, however I did set off the alarm by mistake while dusting the unit. I was surprised when the EMT's, police, ambulance, fire truck and my children arrived before I figured out how to dismiss the call. I am living alone and feel very secure having Bay Alarm available should I need the service.

I no longer subscribe to Bay Alarm Medical because I am now in an Assisted Living Facility. My experience with Bay Alarm was generally favorable. Representatives were always courteous and helpful. The only problem I experienced was occasional false alarms. This could be easily corrected by recessing the push button slightly...just an eighth of an inch would suffice. As designed, the push button is flush with the surface of the pendant. This results in sending a false signal when the button brushes the edge of a table or is pressed inadvertently while sleeping. I eventually made a cover that protected the button yet allowed it to be pressed easily. The Company virtually ignored my comments about this matter.
We love the peace of mind knowing our brother can press that button any time he needs help. He has only needed it once, fortunately providing him swift medical attention. It is also great that my sister and myself were notified that the paramedics had been alerted. At first my brother was a little down getting this, feeling he may have lost some independence. But now, just the opposite. He feels more confident knowing help is always available. Thank you for the great product and service.

I have power of attorney for a homebound elderly single man. We researched medical alarm systems and chose Bay Alarm. Setting up took some effort but we were able to get the wrist button running and checked out. Now, the man has had to move to the first floor but the speaker, located on the second floor, still is able to communicate with him. He reported the watch band had stretched and a replacement arrived a few days later. We are well pleased with Bay Alert.

Very happy with the service from Bay Alarm Medical. The call center always responds immediately when we test my mother's equipment. Although she has not yet needed the service I have no doubt that it would be there if she needed help. My mother changes her residency twice a year and Bay Alarm always makes the changes in contact information willingly and without error. I enlisted Bay Mediical as a provider for my aunt. I have never been disappointed with Bay Medical's responses to testing. Fortunately' we have never had to use their services.
I have not needed to press the button yet. But accidently set it off twice. First time amulance came. Next time I heard the box ask if I was all right. I know if I ever need help it will be here in minutes.
I got this for my Mother several years ago after she had a stroke. So far, we've been lucky that she hasn't used it. But she lives alone and I'm 300 miles away although I have siblings that are closer. It's just a relief to know she has it.
It was necessary to push my button a few weeks ago. I had fainted for just a few seconds, went to the floor & couldn't get up. An ambulance was here so quick, I couldn't believe it! Many thanks for the quick response!

4I had read some about some nightmares about canceling which really worried me as mom passed and I didn't want to deal with another problem. However, I actually had the exact opposite experience, when I emailed them before mom's bill was due and let them know the situation. They said to avoid more charges send unit back with a COPY OF HER DEATH CERTIFICATE to their address. I had no problems with sending a funeral obituary however I think asking for a Death Certificate when I should be able to cancel for any reason is a little much. They did empathize with our loss, and told me where to send back the equipment in order to avoid further charges. While having the working unit in moms house, every time the button on moms necklace or the help button was pushed your operators were so polite and eager to get help. Thank you for providing peace of mind!
I have had excellent service. Once, my housekeeper had unplugged your equipment while she was cleaning and I was not aware of this. However Bay Alarm was. I was contacted and I assured the man at the other end of the phone that I was O.K. Then I checked the wiring and knew immediately what had happened. The man from Bay Alarm was so kind and reassuring and said for me to call him if I had any problems with the equipment.

My mom has been a very satisfied customer of Bay Medical for two years. She is 92 years old and we got the service for her when my dad passed away and she was living alone. She has never had an emergency but she has tested the response service now and then. They recommend you test it monthly and are very prompt and gracious when responding. They always make sur you are okay. The price is better than the "advertised on TV" brands and I can't say enough good about the service.

Fortunately we have not had any medical emergencies, but we have had at least 2 power outages and a dropped device. Each time we received a telephone call from Bay Alarm within a short period of time to check if everything was ok. Increased our sense of security as we are sure that there will be a timely response in an emergency situation as well.
I have not had to use this in an emergency but have mistakingly hit it and have immediately gotten response.
I have not needed to call for help, but every time I check the system I get such reliable response that I am confident that I can live alone & be safe. The pendant is so lightweight that I don't notice that I[m wearing it & always put it on my closet door handle when I leave it at home, so that I will remember to put it back on.
I have only had to use bay alarm to test the system each month, but every time I hit the "emergency" button, someone answers within a few seconds and asks if everything is alright. They are always very friendly and pleasant. With Bay Alarm - I have peace of mind going off to work each day, and leaving my Mother at home for a few hours by herself. It's a safety net should anything happen as I work quite a ways away, and wouldn't be able to get home very quickly. I'm happy to know that Bay Alarm is there for my Mother should she need it.
