LinkedIn is a good site for networking and finding people, but not necessarily job searching. Lots of people are applying to jobs (like over 300 in some instances) and the chances that my application would be considered is very close to zero. I also wonder if some (most) of the jobs will be filled internally.

Great way to find leads on jobs. As well as keep in contact with former work colleagues and keep the line of communication open for other opportunities.

Just landed a new job because of LinkedIn and the help I received from their service and my connections. Use them all the time. Unfortunately, the cost is way too high to use for too long.

I like how it brings businesses together and networks, but I dislike their pricing, they are very expensive for general consumers (job seekers). Too many ads now which is bad, and spam messages that are irrelevant to me.

I seriously have no idea how to use LinkedIn, I got it because I was told it's good for putting yourself out there and finding employers, but it's very convoluted and I don't need 500 "connections".

Very consistent in matching potential jobs with my experience. Seems to withhold from consumer information sharing. The site is easy to manipulate.

So much propaganda now. LinkedIn tried to become the next Facebook forum and I find it anything but professional and a total waste of time. No social media platform is safe anymore. They get hijacked and lose all focus of what they were originally incepted for. Don't waste your time giving them your information.

I have a LinkedIn account but have not used many of it's features because it seems like you have to pay for everything. As a free service, I don't find it very useful.

LinkedIn has become very commercial. Instead of networking, professional development and jobs it’s focus is increasing on unnecessary solicitation of sales and marketing.
