Mixed feelings on this service. It is run almost with a Facebook type setup with posts and things. Not easy to find what you want unless you know the name of the person . People are usually very vague in their resumes. Some users try to use it like a dating site making it unappealing to a lot of women. Also, the qualities section is useless because people set their own skills and strength, many overdo it.

LinkedIn is such a great company for all things professional. They helped me secure a job shortly after making an account. Highly recommend for any and everyone that wants to network and find jobs/careers.

We have used LinkedIn to hire many of our employees at some of our restaurant locations. We liked how the calibre of people on this platform was more refined than those of other job sites.

I have an account with LinkedIn and it is definitely a good resource for connecting with people professionally. I do think they send too many emails and are sometimes too persistent, trying to get you to talk to someone. But overall, it’s a great resource to connect with people.

I use LinkedIn for job searches. I have not been actively looking for work, but use it to see what is available in the area. I have applied online for a handful of jobs where I was interested but have not accepted any offers. My main complaint with LinkedIn as a job search tool is often the employer does not list the pay range for the job and so you are left to other sources to try and figure that out.

An absolute must in job searching. Makes it easy to connect with professionals in your field with just a click of a button. Also provides a mini-resume for anyone who comes across your profile.

Linkedin is great for connecting and seeing what else is going on in idustries across the globe. I'm not impressed with the job search side of Linkedin. My suggestion is more access to employers searching for candidates without haveing to purchase membership. My take is get employers and new candidates in touch then ask for membership to help grow businesses and employees.

I like linked in but I’m getting really tired of them trying to persuade me to go premium. If I’m honest there’s not a lot of reasons for someone like myself, aka not an HR head doing mass recruiting, to be on LinkedIn other than to flex myself and my page.

I have my name come up in many searches. I have yet to receive contact from anyone. I am retired and perhaps that is the reason. It is a good way to stay in touch with friends and see their updates on their work status and advancements. It lets us know who has work anniversaries. It might be better suited to those actually searching for work. I mostly used it to stay in touch and just in case something were to open up that would interest me job-wise.

I have really enjoyed using LinkedIn. It has been really great to make a lot of business contacts around my area. You do have to be cautious about making connections with people you do not personally know. There is a lot of fraud/false accounts on LinkedIn so be cautious about who you connect with.

I think Linkedin has been a great way to connect businesses and people. There are a lot of positives from it. There is a lot of scams and fraud on it though so you have to be aware and verify the person you are connected to is actually a viable trust worthy connection. Just because they have a lot of connections does not mean they are trust worthy.

I never had crazy luck using Linkedin for jobs, but I have gotten some interviews in the past through it. I can see if I have any mutual friends or alumni of my college working at companies who are hiring. I can reach out and find good connections that way. I don't love the job search engine though, doesn't give many results that I want.

Using LinkedIn to find a job is great in certain areas. I'm not sure it would be great for all types of jobs. Any social media platform is a bit misleading in a sense. I feel that a lot of people are trying to be too impressive, which is hard to sort through. I feel like it's best for those in business.
