  • $1 Million Insurance Option

Protection Services

In order to best protect its customers' identities, EZShield's ID Restoration Pro service provides an online identity vault that allows consumers to encrypt their personal information, documents, and images.

The company also offers customers access to a secure password management tool as well as activity reports and breach/fraud news alerts. If any suspicious activity is detected, the company will issue a fraud alert to the customer.

Customer Upgrade Options

EZShield offers a variety of upgrade options that include family monitoring, child monitoring, up to $1 million in identity theft insurance, dark web monitoring, credit monitoring, social media monitoring, keylogging security, credit report copies, and much more.

Although the company's ID Restoration Pro only offers a few protection and restoration services, customers can choose to upgrade to receive other services.

Restoration Services

In addition to identity protection services, EZShield also offers a number of restoration services including 24/7 live customer support and access to a certified, U.S.-based resolution specialist.

The company also offers a 32-step End2End Defense restoration process which is meant to assist those with lost/stolen wallets, breached data, exposure to fraud, and/or identity theft. This process also is designed to help prevent future cases of fraud or identity theft.

$1 Million Insurance Option

EZShield offers customers the choice of upgrading to receive up to $1 million in identity theft reimbursement insurance. This insurance covers all identity theft-related personal expenses including lost wages.

The Bad

  • No Antivirus Software
  • Must Upgrade for Options

No Antivirus Software

Unfortunately, EZShield does not appear to provide its customers with antivirus software with which they can use to protect their personal computers.

Must Upgrade for Options

Customers who wish to obtain the $1 million identity theft insurance option and other advanced services like family monitoring, social media monitoring, etc., must upgrade their current plan.

Meanwhile, many other companies in the identity theft industry automatically offer most of these advanced services without forcing customers to upgrade their plans.

The Bottom Line

EZShield offers a unique identity theft solution service called ID Restoration Pro that includes an online identity vault, a password manager, breach/fraud alerts, a 32-step restoration process, a U.S-based resolution specialist, and 24/7 live support.

The company also offers restoration services along with several upgrade options that include family monitoring, credit monitoring, and more.

Unlike other companies in the identity theft protection industry, EZShield forces customers to upgrade their plans in order to obtain more services. Additionally, the company does not appear to provide antivirus software.

If you are looking for a service that provides access to protection tools like a password manager and options for other services, EZShield may be a good fit for you. However, if you are looking for a service that is more comprehensive upfront and does not require you to upgrade to obtain standard services, you may want to keep searching in the industry.

We recommend that you read several reviews, visit the company's website, and conduct further research before signing up for EZShield's identity protection service.

I tried to login in on my laptop, which is a Mac. My PC is Microsoft. Anyway I got a notice that my information was on the dark web and to go to the website to see what it was. I can't log in because my secure codes are incorrect. They are the codes sent to me by EZShield. It shouldn't be so hard to log in when I am using your codes. I don't like EZShield because they give you bad informatiuon. EZShield called and we got this problem fixed. I have to say they have good customer service
