Select Home Warranty charges a service call fee, which customers will be expected to pay every time a technician visits their home, regardless of whether or not the item has been looked at recently. The payment must be paid at time of service, and failing to do so will result in your home service contract being suspended. If any suspension of the service contract occurs, this does not change or extend its original termination date. And any pre-existing conditions or malfunctions are not covered by the service contract. Buyer Beware! After submitting a claim it was over 8 hours before anyone contacted me and only then by email. The email only stayed that I would receive technician information within 48 hours. Also they do not cover installation of parts required. When I purchased my policy sales did not bother to inform me there would be an additional hold period for the start date to my policy for payment to clear. Their website states receipt if payment which was taken right then. This company is misleading in every aspect. If you want repairs done quickly or at all you won't get that here. Cancelling my policy.

This is the worst company ever I had for appliances home warranty. I have them for 2 years and I called them 3 times: one for my bathroom faucet, one for my stove, one for my cloth washer. BUT they never fix anything, and they told me that my appliances is too old to be fixed. Every time I make countless calls and explain the situation, but they are super slow, do not understand, do not help at all. They always find a way to reject your claim or assign a bad technicians who do not know what they are doing. It is my mistake because I bought 3 years policy and I could not get any refund. Every claim I have made has been rejected. The last claim I filed was to fix my cloth washer machine since March 23, 2020, till today 06-18-2020 they did not fix it or even send anyone to help. They open multiple claims for the same problem but never fix it, I opened Claim #01 in March (closed) & Claim #: 02 in May (closed) and # 03 on June 2020 Complained to many managers, but nothing been fixed. SATAY AWAY.

I highly recommend staying away from this company. During the sales process, sales will be chasing you and offering discounts but when its time to open claim, you will notice that most of your claims will be denied. There are several loop holes in the contract that have you stuck and leaves a customer helpless. I have been with them for over 2 years with a total of 4 claims - all denied ( only one accepted eventually) that too was a nightmare. What are are told is covered by sales people is not what is actually covered and claims department will tell you different story. Reps can also get rude and raise their tone on calls. The company is bogus and I would not want any of you to have to go through what I did.

be aware, there is one word in the 17 page contract that states "installation" not covered, which means that no Labor charges will be covered. Technician who came by to fix AC simply stated that 70% of costs of his bill was Labor. Their Contract is bogus. Do Not use this company.

very bad experience so far. bought 5 years policy few months ago and i needed a service first time 4 days ago when my garbage disposal broke. i have not been able to get hold of anyone since then. Tried calling Richard Z, the guy who sold me the policy many times and he kept putting me on indefinite holds. Very very frustrating experience so far. no body calls back or take any responsibility. thinking of cancelling the policy now.
