I fell for the con of the low prices and seemingly great service. Signed a 5 year contract and filed my first claim after 60 days. they assigned a company that doesn't even service my area. so called back and they told me they would find a replacement in a day or so. it was for our fridge so that didn't work. I called to cancel and was told It would be a week before the billing would get back to me with what they owe, and that it would be a month before I saw my refund. bunch of con artists! Don't fall for it!

I made the mistake of giving Select Home Warranty my email address when I was investigating warranty companies. Now I get ten to fifteen spam emails every day and selecting unsubscribe is just ignored. I plan to drop the email service just to make the spam stop. I wouldn't deal with them even if they claimed it was free! I want to add that I've just started to get an email whose subject line is, "It's time to get you laid". I can thank Select Home Warranty for distributing my email address.

They sent an unlicensed/uninsured guy claiming to be a plumber to my to fix a plumbing issue then when he broke the toilet (as in dropped the top and cracked it) refused to send a new company out or refund our $60 or pay for the toilet to be repaired. They also committed fraud in the documents surrounding the claim and refused to provide us with so called proof that the plumber had insurance and said we should just believe them because they said so. Truly a bunch of bottom dwellers.

Do not use this company ... They charged me a $120 for canceling my service 1 day after the contract. I cancelled due to being told the wrong information. They will lie and do anything to get you to sigh up . Every single item is a seperate service fee ... Washing machine $60 Fridge $60 it doesnt matter if they are all appliiances or not ... Each item . Other home warrantys dont do this. This company is a rip off and the people in the claims department do not know what is covered or not covered even when you call and ask several times. Its ridiculous

Over 6 month period I have had three issues. They send out job has been accepted within 24 hrs but when you call the contractor they did not accept the job! So you call select home again and 24 hrs latter you get the exact runaround , so basically they take your money and don't have anyone willing to work for them for lack of payment to contractors. As of right now March 15 2018 I have been waiting since 12th for service and still waiting. BBB and lawyer ready.. have all paper work to prove my claims.

My house is 10 years old and I purchased new. I purchased this Select Home Warranty to make sure my appliances were covered. 4 months after I purchased the warranty our dishwasher went out. The service to repair it would cost $520 dollars. Select Home Warranty said they would only allow $100 dollars to offset cost. That was back in December, I still haven't received a dime.

This home warranty service is a joke. we've owned the house for 2 years. Warranty company comes highly recommended. Water heater leaks are not covered water heater replacement is not covered. They would not even help with getting a service company that they could trust. I was even willing to pay for the service call. I had to call a plummer come to see the water heater. It needed to be replaced, Not covered by Home Select. I'm out $900. plus the $400 to Home Select. Perfect!

At this point I’m pretty sure this company is a scam. I reported a claim 3 days ago and no one called, no one emailed, I never got a claim number. I called in and they said oh, it takes 2 days. I waited. Called again and they said they assigned to a technician but no one ever called me - when I called this technician the number was out of service and I can’t find the company info anywhere. When i called back they said they could assign another one and it would be another 24 hours. Lovely. It’s a scam.

Horrible They are the biggest ripoff company promise you the moon to get your money then they don't deliver on their service. I have two kids and no heat 5 weeks after submitting a claim to fix my heat. They will do everything in their power to not pay to fix anything and when I asked for a refund I only received 1/2 MY MONEY BACK AND THEY NEVER REPAIRED ONE THING. BUYER BEWARE!!

This is one of the worst company experiences that I've ever had. They do not respond to calls, then try to claim that they did. It takes forever to get anything done, if it even gets done at all. I finally cancelled service with them due to their lack of communication and follow through, and they charged me a $75 cancellation fee. I was told there would be no cancellation fee when I signed up. They are terrible and I paid for it. Do not use them. You will be very disappointed

Claim was made aug 22 2017 and was approved by company. Select Home Warranty was to reimburse for payment I made to a company who made repairs on AC. Due to the fact Select home warranty was unable to get repairs done.Problem is Select Home Warranty has failed to send a reimbursement check for the repairs. Numerous emails to them with no success. They claimed check was mailed and I have never received. Just another way of blowing off the consumer.

Have had them for 2 years , used them a handful of times, they dont pay the contractors so you will get threatening letters. They dont have contractors to send out, it takes days. They deny claims even though the items are covered. They dont follow up on claims,dont call back. Horrible company, horrible customer service. Dont waste your money on them.

Submitted a repair request. I received an email stating my request had bee accepted by a plumber. The plumber never came. I called the plumber ...they never spoke to select home warranty. I called select back. they asked me to get a plumber and they will reimburse me. I said NO..after reading reviews stating customers were never reimbursed I asked them to send another plumber. Two days later sill no plumber.

Select Home Warranty is the worst company I have ever experienced. It tried all its best to decline your claim. Even they took your claim, then only $150, out of $350 or whatever larger, is approved for reimbursement. The worst came in, they always tell you, after the repair complete, it will take up to 30 days for you to get your reimbursement check. But after 35 days, they are telling you the same. For your life, keep away from this company.

Sadly I must give Select Home Warranty one star. After being with them over a year I finely needed a repair on my refrigerator, it was working but there were control panel problems. I called them to report the issue and to get repairs, the answering of their questions was laborious and irritating. Ultimately they indicated repairs would take place, I was notified about the company that would do the repairs. After some time I heard nothing from any one, so I called the company that Select said would do the repairs, they never heard of me, nor of Select Home Warranty. I called Select and after talking to a couple of different representatives I was told they had checked with 11 different companies and they would not be able to get anyone out to my home. They went on to say that I should try to get someone and they will reimburse me or the repair person, I really wasn't quite clear on that. I indicated that I was paying for them to handle the claim, which then they said they would try. I will shorten the rest of this long story by saying they never were able to get someone to my home to make the repair. I canceled the remainder of my policy, so I lost $1300 and got nothing for it. I did get a call from a "supervisor" who tried to get me not to cancel, he actually said because he is a "supervisor" he could get my refrigerator fixed right away. I wish that someone could have done that 3 weeks prior when I first contacted Select Home Service to get my refrigerator fixed!

Scam liar didn't match the describe before I bought I want to share I very terrible experiense. Two months ago one of my friends recommends I should my home warranty. I went to Google search found this company has very good feedback. I called the company would like to buy a home warry for my house appliance. I talked to some agents. They said I only pay for the first visit of a $60 deductible. The rest of the company will take care. If the appliance is broken, we will take care of it and replacement to a new one or fix it. You don't need to pay any penny out of the pocket. After I talked to the agent, I decided to buy it. A one-half month later my house garbage disposal doesn't work. I called the company comes to check it out. They sent a technician to check it out. When the tech guy came I paid $60 to him right the way. He reports back to the company said it is broken needs to replacement to a new one. Three days I need to go to buy a new one and find the handyman or tech guy to install. They are not paying for all this. They only pay me a $75 check after I buy it and provide the receipt to them. I am so upset and disappointed after I heard this. I told them to cancel my policy immediately. They said if I cancel the policy, they will charge $75. I said fine enough is enough. For almost a week I still didn't send me the cancelation notece. So I called my credit card company to cancel my payment. Beware of this company. thank you!
