I have filed one claim with AHS and was pleased with the quick response I received to my online request. A service company was assigned the same day and they responded quickly to set an appointment. I waited a few days for a tech to become available and the tech was on time as scheduled and was able to find the problem. Unfortunately, I needed a new part so had to wait for AHS to order it. The part arrived a few days later and was installed the day after it arrived. The technician was courteous, knowledgeable and fast. My washing machine is back to normal and the entire process was hassle free.

Has consistently been well worth the peace of mind knowing that items will be quickly repaired. Just as with all insurance products, it pays to opt for the higher level plans (Gold, Platinum), as we have had almost all repairs completed within 1 week of initial report. Have used AHS policies on our past three (including current) homes and has been well apprecitaed.

My home was constructed in 2007, thus it is at an age where multiple appliances begin to fail. I have read my contract and understand what is covered and what is not covered, so I have been able to maintain a positive relationship with AHS. Being an attorney and having construction and remodeling experience, even when the contractor has indicated that the repair is extraordinary and requires additional payment from me to repair beyond my standard fee, I have convinced both AHS and the contractor that it is a standard repair and covered.

I’ve contracted with several home warranty companies over the decades. AHS has been the best by far because they assign a service professional immediately, speeding up the process . A year ago my 17 year old water heater died., Within 24 hours a new one was installed. I paid 125 for service fee for which I got a brand new quality water heater installed with old one hauled away. I could not be happier with AHS, it is the best of the best based on my decades of experience with such companies.

I had one service call for my AC that resulted in three visits by the service provider American AC/Heating: one to diagnose a problem with my thermostat and, since the technician didn't have one with him and a second to replace the thermostat. Less than 48 hours later, I still had issues with my unit. A second technician came out for a third visit and was able to quickly diagnose and fix a contact switch on the outside unit. I actually had two problems (one inside/one outside) that were handled with one service call. The process of initiating my claim was easy online and getting follow-up service for the still unresolved total issue was just as seamless. The responding AC company was prompt and professional. Very happy (and much cooler now!) with both American Home Shield and American AC/Heating.

Good service overall. There was some confusion on my check up on air system. 1st repairman said there was a leak so could not perform anything without a wait to check again. He said if leak found he would put a stop leak in and that would fix the problem. The next company repairman, from a different company, was very quick and efficient. I informed him of what the last repairman from the other company said and he said he was glad that he came instead of the other guy because putting in stop leak would void all warranties of work thru American Home Shield. It appears that I got lucky and no damage was done. So far everything is working well and hope all remains that way.

Then a couple of years ago I decided to renew my home warranty and contacted them. I have not regretted that decision at all and have had to use it several times. I have been a subscriber to AHS for many years and have had numerous occasions to avail myself of their services. Ihave always found the contractors dispatched to resolve my problems to be prompt, respectful of my home, honest and trustworthy. I have experienced no issues. My only complaint with this past service call was the fact that after the problem with my air conditioning unit was fixed, it required 4 lbs. of freon at $185/lb. As AHS allowed only $10/lb., it cost me an additional $740 for just the freon. An online search confirmed that the price I was charged was within the average going cost for a pound of freon in my locale. In view of the high cost of freon, I felt a greater portion of the cost of freon should have been covered by my policy.

I had multiple appliances with problem. They were all diagnose as unable to repair. All of my appliances were replaced. One of the item was not available in the shopping site, so I was offered a cash out option. I shop outside and found an appliance of my liking. I sent all of the supporting documents of the cost to AHS. I received a check reimbursement g to for the money that I spent purchasing my appliance. Very happy with how’s my case was handle.

I like knowing I don't have to hunt for a repairman when I need something fixed. All I do is file a claim and Home Shield does the rest. And I like knowing what the bill will be - no surprises. And I like the fact that the repairman shows up on time, knows what needs fixing and does it. I like being given the name and phone number of the person who will be coming to fix the problem, and I feel safe opening the door.

Quick, on time (frequent text notifications and call when he was heading our way) very professional! One question, we need Refrigerant (supposedly as much as we need as part of our warranty) Instead of filling refrigerant then while the service provider was there we had to place a separate service call to get it filled. I know this is to defray your costs as I had to pay an additional service charge! I would appreciate it if they just filled the refrigerant while they’re there and I’m ok paying extra to get this done as well as an repairs

I’ve had ups and downs with American home shield over the years at both my home and rental property, but based on my recent experiences, this company has taken a turn for the better and continues to improve its customer service. I was thinking of trying out a new company and then couldn’t because overall, AHS has been good to me and I as more reliable than the other company I tried. I’ve had a refrigerator replaced and a washer/dryer based on malfunctions of the products. Additionally, as of late I’ve had very timely resolution of all concerns. I also appreciate that when I’ve called recently, the customer representative liased with the company providing service so that I didn’t have to and they were able to expedite my concerns. I have no complaints with AHS as of late except for the fact that their fees continue to increase it seems.

Geoffrey was great. The first plumbing company you sent a few weeks ago was horrible. They charged us $1.800 to cut out a piece of leaking pipe. I had contact with another plumber here in Brevard cty and they would have charged $600. Geoffrey said $800. I do not want to see that plumber from Orange cty again. It would be nice if you could get a contract with a plumber here in Brevard cty.

My experience has been good so far. The appliance department did an amazing job helping navigate the shopping page. One of the appliances was no longer available so I was given the option to shop of site and send my invoice in to Ahs for a check payout. Except for a couple of snag with the payout, the process seem to be working. Still waiting on my check, I will update when complete.

You know I've had you for years, first in AZ now both AZ and OR. Last year I had a plumbing problem. Because Brookings, OR is so small and doesn't have a over abundant of plummets you had me call my choice of a plummer. I followed all the directions, having the plummer call you to get approved, he gave me an invoice, I took a picture sent it via email to the address I was given and never got reimbursed. It was over $300.00. Not for nothing it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's very uncool when I had to front the cost. I'm still a loyal customer to this day. It was a very easy completion of my problem with American Home Shield. My refrigerator stopped working. I was in contact within one day. They had it set up for me to look at refrigerators and decide what I wanted or did I want exactly what I had I made the choice I was notified that the company would contact me and bring it on a certain date. It came in seven days. The old one was taken out. The new one was put in and all was well. It was a very easy experience.

On my replaced dryer…I should have taken their generous offer of a GE PROFILE DRYER.. instead of accepting their cash offering of which I paid lots more for a Maytag Commercial dryer that the plastic squirrel cage motor broke in four pieces!!!! Bad decision on the three week old Maytag!!! I made a mistake!!!! American Home Shield technician was timely…knowledgeable..and courteous!!

For our last issue we had a broken central air conditioner. It was late so I went on line and easily reported the problem. A wonderful service man, Jose, came out to our home the next day. He checked our freon levels and then quickly identified the issue, had the part on his truck and was on his way in a half hour. I could not have asked for more.

Overall our experience with AHS has been good. They are a lot easier to work with than our last home warranty company. We are having trouble currently concerning a water problem created by (what we know now is the shut off valve to our first floor bathroom sink faucets. When I called in the to make a claim for service (in a panic as the bathroom surrounding area as well as the basement below were flooded with water) I happened to say the word faucet and that is all the agent heard. When I called we didn't know where the water was coming from specifically we just knew something about the "faucet" was leaking. When the plumber arrived and discovered it was the shut off valve to the faucet that was the cause of the problem he told us he couldn't fix that unless we put in another claim and paid another 125.00 deductible. We called AHS they next day - spent a great deal of time of the phone with an agent going back and forth about the original call and she finally agreed to amend the claim so that the shut off valve would be included. Next day the plumber arrives - he calls AHS because he had not received an amended work order - and a different agent tells him NO the shut off is not included. The plumber tried to tighten the valve but we are still stuck with emptying a tub because the shut off valve is still leaking (slower than before - but still leaking). I won't go into the issue of them not replacing the faucet because our vanity top is 6 inch on center and they only cover a 4 inch on center faucet. Who knew. A little frustrated with this claim and a little edgy since my first floor is a complete mess (thank God for homeowners insurance) and we lived in a jet engine for 3 days. Whew..... all in all AHS has been good for us and is a better than average home warranty company. It's easy to submit a claim and they are very prompt on assigning a contractor to perform repairs.

AHS just replaced my built-in GE over-the-range microwave. They sent a GE appliance technician to diagnose the problem, and determined that a new replacement was the best option. They instructed me how to order, and gave me choices on make and model. I made my selection, it was delivered and installed, and the old microwave taken away. This took only one phone call (to report the issue). No muss, no fuss, just good service.

Fast, reliable service. That gives me peace of mind. So far, I've used AHS twice on two rental properties. One needed a new garbage disposal - plumber came the very next day cleared the drain and ordered a new garbage disposal, which was all completed in 5 days. The other service was a dishwasher - the technician was there the next day and finished on the same day. . That is EXCELLENT service! If you only knew the hell I went through with the other two companies that I tried . It's only a couple minutes wait time to reach a representative, not an hour - they don't mix up your appliances, AHS understands you and gets it right the first time and sends contractors that actually show up. The most important is that the job is done either in a day or a week, tops, rather than 3 months (which was my experience with the last two home warranty companies). If you have Tenants, they will be mad if they have to wait a long time and who can blame them. AHS gets the job done fast. If you want peace of mind, AHS is the company to get. I highly recommend it.

I was hesitant at first to use them so asked my insurance agent about a home warranty. He told me about AHS. He gave them a great review and said it was a good thing. I have been so pleased. They helped me get a new refrigerator, cook-top, and new washer. My ceramic cook-top was cracked and they immediately replaced it with the same item as the original was still available. They attempted to repair the washing machine x1 but when the repairman said it was irreparable they replaced it. The original was no longer available so I selected a new one. They tried to repair the refrigerator but it had parts that were no longer available so I was able to select a new one. They try to repair the item first with the original but if that isn't an option you have options for replacement. You can take a check or a gift card to an appliance store and make your own selections anywhere or go into the store and select from the choices they offer or you can select online from the choices they give you. The replacement value is very fair but I chose to order a new washer and fridge on-line and was very pleased with the items available to choose from. The online website makes it so easy to use their services right from the start, from the first time you request service to choosing replacement options. As I am recovering from a broken leg I really appreciated the website and options to shop right from home. I also used them to repair my heater. It took two visits but they got it right and it works fine now. I am 100% pleased and would refer them to anyone!

Most claims were handled quickly. Although there were a couple times when there were delays. I wish there was an option to select the service provider, as it seems I never get a company that has worked with me before. For example, recently we had both of our AC units go down and we made a service request. A service provider came and advised that the work order was only for one unit (I don't believe the online request allows us to provide much details) and they requested I submit another request for the 2nd unit. Although it did not stop the technician from repairing both systems, and I did as requested. To my surprise, AHS assigned a different company to address the second request (which we cancelled). Within the last couple of months, we have been assigned three [3] different AC service providers. Generally, I am very satisfied with AHS.

Initially, I was skepitcal of home warranties because I thought they were a waste of money. One of my neigbors had American Home Shield and recommended them. I decided to give it a try even though I was skeptical. About 8 months after signing the home warranty contract we had an issue with our dishwasher and stove top. We called AHS and they immediately sent out a contractor. However, the contractor came to our house for 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and took forever to submit it to AHS. It ended up getting denied which didn't seem right as it appeared to be covered in the contract. We call AHS but hard a hard time getting to someone to help us. I defintiely was regretting having it and felt I was right along a long and home warranties are a rip off. Eventually, we did connect with someone and they sent a new contractor to our house who diagnosed the probelm correctly. They fixed our dishwasher and we got a brand new stove oven. My opinion changed at that point. Since than we have had some mostly minor stuff happen at our house and AHS has been great. In fact we recently had our in wall A/C unit die and it was completely replaced with a new one by AHS. Although in the beginning we didn't get off on the right foot I have been so happy with AHS and having the peace of mind that they have my back if anything breaks. I highly recommend.

Every experience I've had has been positive. Customer service is always helpful and if I have a complaint about service (which is rare), they fix it. The only complaint I have is with the deadline regarding a repair that isn't completely fixed. I have to put in a new work order (& pay the fee) to have the appliance serviced again. I was told the deadline is 30 from the time the work order is put in not from the time the repair is made. There was a delay in the appliance being repaired due to the amount of time it took for the part to come in. The repair needed to be redone but the 30 days had already passed.

That means after a repair is completed, if you may experience that same problem again you have 30days from the technician's last day at your home to contact AHS so that we can send them back out at no additonal charge. If there i s a part delay you do not have to pay again when the technician returns because the job would not be considered completed until the part is installed.

Ahs was great and got the technician out the next day to access the problem. Since it was Friday. I am sure that is why the part was ordered Monday. I reached out on Wed for an update and she penciled us in for Thursday AM.. since she could see part should be arriving. I told her Thank you.. especially with the long July 4th weekend coming up. It was so great to have a house from 82 degrees ( due to a small window unit.. blessing) back to a comfortable 77. I even asked the technician for a quick quote on an easier to use Temp controller. I am keeping the number for regular maintenance too. Mrs Honesty

Being older and on a fixed income, I wish I had known about this home warranty earlier in life. Owning your home can be very expensive, with unending expenses. I had to file 2 claims with American Home Shield in one week. They responded immediately, and sent licensed contractors to repair my leaking faucet and broken air conditioner within a day. Both my issues were repaired, and the contractors were amazing. I am beyond thankful for their fast and professional service they provided. My experience with them is definitely a 5 star rating. I will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reputable home warranty co. They went far and above, and I am so thankful I decided to take this plan out. So worth it!

Repairman was able to get there on time. The appt was set up within 24hrs and work was done within 48hrs. The dispatch/customer support for the repair company felt a little unprofessional as when I talked to 2 different agents to confirm the appt they both had call quality issues, one I could not hear very well due to connectivity issues like static. The 2nd agent had dogs barking and kids screaming in the background and spoke so casually that it felt like a scam call. I appreciated that an email confirmation was sent as well. American Home Shield has a very quick and easy process to submit trouble tickets.

Every time I have requested a service AHS has promptly gotten a service company in the correct specialty to quickly contact me and make an appointment to come to my home and fix the problem. I am extremely satisfied with their service. I have only had one problem in the nine years that I have had AHS where the contractor did not satisfactorily correct my house problem. And after I had tried to get the company several times to come back and do the job over it was not corrected properly. I then called AHS and told a customer service lady step by step what had happened and the AHS lady said, "I'll take care of it right now." And she did! Within half an hour the service company called me back and sent out another technician who correctly fixed the problem. I would never have gotten it corrected on my own and AHS stepped in and like "Johnnie-on-the-spot" it got fixed quickly and correctly. Thank you--American Home Shield!

We had a problem with our dishwasher. We hired a company to come and repair it. The Service person who came to fix the dishwasher told us that, "These things are made to become obsolete". He told us there was nothing he could do to fix it and left. A couple of weeks later, we started getting a large lump in our woof floor in the kitchen. I decided to get American Home Shield to come and check it out. We knew we had a problem. The American Home Shield technician told us it was a $25.00 part and he could fix it. He stated that the dishwasher was leaking and that is why we had a large lump in our wood floor. It took months, but finally the lump went down. Our dishwasher had worked perfectly ever since. Since then we also had an electrical problem that was repaired right away with American Home Shield. They are the best and we feel comfortable knowing we have a warranty on our home appliances.

I have always had excellent reponse. LL When my furnace wouldn't come on in the middle of the a very cold winter the service company called immediately and fixed shortly after. I just used again for my dryer that needed service. The service company called within an hour of putting in request. They setup a time, the tech was here at the time we set the appointment and fixed the dryer, workers wonderfully now. The tech was very professional, advised us what the problem was, what he needed to do and approximately how long long it would take. I can't say enough good aboutAmerican Home Shield and told everyone that I know what a life saver it has been for me.

I am more than impressed with AHS. I bought a home in the Springtime of 2020 and I was happy as could be. I purchased an AHS home warranty because it is a three story house and I wanted to protect the roof as well as all of the interior. Sure enough by the Fall when it was time to use the furnace the lower unit worked for about a week and went out. I paid $100 service call and within four days the contractor had repaired the furnace because he had to wait on a part. The following month the double oven and oversized washer went out and I paid another $100 service fee and after inspection the contractor recommended replacements. The next days after inspection AHS had ordered both appliances without any hassle. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the level of service, hassle-free, and speed at which they honored my contract. I look forward to keeping them for years to come because my house is 30-years old and it is a 4500 square foot home. Thank you AHS.

Two specific claims within a month. First was AC that required trips to diagnose, order parts ( shipped wrong part) requiring a third trip. Keith (technician) was great, communicated on each step and was very timely. Office staff was very courteous and helpful with scheduling and follow up. Second claim was on our refrigerator. The GE technician was on time and accessed that refrigerator could not be repaired so AHS agreed to replaced the unit. Since the comparable unit was currently unavailable we elected to upgrade and pay additional fee to get an upgraded unit. AHS paid delivery and installation cost. We were completely pleased with entire process and happy to recommend AHS for home warranty coverage.

I signed up with American Home Shield around 10 years ago and have never had any difficult dealings with them. They have been excellent in all aspects. Since signing up with them, I have had to call them 6 times to fix various appliances such as our washer and also the dryer, a water leak coming from our fridge, the garbage dispenser, and recently, our air conditioning unit. I have never paid more than $75.00 charge for them to come out and the companies they send out are the best. They are very courteous and seem to know their job and do it well as far as I am concerned. They are easy to understand which makes it even better. I always know that I am getting the best possible service which is very important to me. I also love the fact that you can call them 24/7 and hardly ever is the hold time on the phone. To say the least, I am very happy with American Home Shield and will continue to be one of their customers for many years to come.

I purchased HS this year my washer of 5 yrs went out ( stop spinning) I filed a claim ( very easy and quickly) a tech was scheduled to out before the end of the week. He was prompt and great communication in regards of his arrival . He quickly assessed my machine. HS authorized a new machine I had many options of a replacement to choose from from. Because it was older my I I had a few hundred dollars credit towards a brand new machine my options were from $100 '$5000. I Chose a $100 one and I Love it.. it's much bigger faster and it holds more close .so I paid a total including the deductible $200 for a newer better machine. I originally paid apx $7- $800 00 for it

American Home Shield (AHS) has been a godsend for me! Before AHS, I had 3 major appliances go out in the same year multiple times. With the skyrocketing cost of service, I paid thousands out of pocket. I saw the commercial for AHS and decided to give it a try. I am so-o-o-o glad that I made that call. In the last year alone, AHS replaced my $10K heat pump and $1.5K refrigerator. Do the math. That would take me about 2 decades in premiums to pay all that back. If you are debating signing up, DON'T! Get AHS. They have sent out only 4 to 5-star service providers that know what they are doing. When they can't fix, they offer to replace, give you a check for the full retail price, or even give you options to upgrade (and pay the difference) should you choose. The premiums are very reasonable and they cover just about everything. I can't say a single bad thing about these guys. Thank you, AHS! I am an AHS customer for life!

When my a/c crapped out, a service tradesman came within two to three days. He determined that it couldn't be repaired, and the entire unit needed to be replaced. He order the unit, and in just a little more than a month, he came to my home and installed the entire unit. The tradesman and his assdistantwere thorough and professional. I had to hire a handy man to remove the door and door frame to the utility closet in order to remove the inside a/c unit and replace it. It just so happened that a handy man was working on a project at my home, so he removed the access don't and frame to facilitate the ease in replacing the inside a/c unit.

They respond quickly after we post our repair need on their user site. Normally, the service person comes the following day. My biggest gripe is that they won’t replace an appliance with the same quality level. For example, we had to pay extra for a stainless steel dishwasher to replace the existing stainless steel. AHS would only supply the least expensive painted model as the replacement. Also, they only pay $10/lb. for Freon, leaving me to pay $75-$85 per lb. There are a lot of HVAC repairs which require additional payment from the user. I’ve had to pay out of pocket up to $1,000 for some HVAC repairs. There is virtually always extra costs that the customer must incur.
