I had them for a month. They are a good company but I felt more secure with my original company. The salespeople I met in Sam's were very nice and informativie. When I spoke with customer service they were patient and kind in answering my questions.

The overall monitoring service is good but if something goes wrong with your equipment, you're expected to be a trouble shooter. You can spend over an hour on the phone rebooting the system only to have to pay for a technician to finally be sent out to fix the problem. Other than that, I've been okay with our system.

My husband has Vivant at his apartment while he is working out of state. It is nice for him to be able to control the air temperature in his apartment through the app and it notifies him if there are other issues. It is fairly expensive though.

I used to like this company more before we had some recent updates done. We have had a few technical issues but some have not been resolved. The biggest problem is that we have scheduled service to come out three separate times to help us troubleshoot some of our issues and every single time the person has no showed. when I call to inquire about it, they tell me it's because they use a separate third party for booking service calls. I became so frustrated that I didn't even want the service anymore, but it doesn't make sense to cancel when I still have to pay for the rest of our technology upgrade.

Traveling salesman got me. Didn't appreciate that they tricked me into paying for my old security system and theirs at the same time. They don't mention that their buyout is only for the service, not the equipment. Overall the service is decent, and I like having the app with a doorbell camera on my phone.

The Vivitrol home security system is out of this world, SMART!! Everything about it is SMART!! I can control my entire house with just my phone -and I have never felt more safe. The no contract option was also a huge bonus.

We have a Vivint home security system. I do have some trouble with it recording some movements in our driveway camera. Also, that camera goes off line occasionally when there is bad weather. We have to reset it in order for it to work again. After purchasing the system, it wasn't very long before the home panel was already outdated after just a year. Other than that the system works well.

The young men were relentless in pushing Vivint in our neighborhood. It got so bad, that I actually stopped answering the door, and pasted a sign that said NO SOLICITING. That was 2018. The sign is still up, albeit now as a lovely decal that seems less angry. The thing is, we HAD Vivint. And then we canceled it. It was pricy, but one of the better options in the area at the time. I am feeling neutral about Vivant, which is a better place than I was in during the summer of 2018....

Great marketing but pricey. I found the packages to be pretty confusing. Vivint’s pricing charges you up front as if you are going to finish a contract. It’s as if they expect to charge you for a 24 or 36 month period whether you stay with them or not. They get theirs off the top no matter what so when you choose their service you will stay because of what you have already paid up front.

While Vivint is a great, reliable company - they can be very costly. They have raised rates on us several times and now, we are getting new windows and have to have wireless instead of wired window sensors; they want to charge us $50.00 per window ($1100.00 more just to keep same protection as we have now). This after being a paying customer for years. They should have deals for loyal customers instead of same pricing as new customers (even new customers get some breaks).

Vivint gave peace of mind to my elderly mom while she was living alone. The window sensors and door sensors made her feel safe to close her eyes at night to sleep. The remote control activator would set the alarm and turn it off from her room which was handy. Someone is supposed to come out this week to replace the sensor in the control box.

If safety is your number one concern, this is not the company to choose. If a random”oh cool I see a cat in front of my camera “ it’s good however, I experience so many camera outages, system breakdowns it’s annoying. Tech support spends hours trying to fix over the phone and then the tech comes brings “a bridge” the other tech “takes the bridge” the issue is continuous and varies. I’m on a 5 year contract of pure “insanity” If I can find a “better” company within the year, hoping to transfer. Been with Vivint now for a little over 3 years I believe. May just wait out the 5 we’ll see.

Love how easy it is to connect my phone app to the home product. The picture is pretty clear at night which is nice when teenagers come around to throw eggs at your window. We tried security cameras before Vivint and could never see the picture at night so we really loved switching over to Vivint.
