I paid $2600 for the system I have no cameras, 1 sensor and smoke detectors I was paying $50 until last month they raised the cost to $55 , vivint tells me I must upgrade the system for $1600 to get the monthly cost down. I been with them since 2010. I own a small place and $4000 for home security is outrageous

This company is a complete scam! Do not sign a contract. They will not honor their word to end contract even if you move with the military. I paid off equipment but they still wanted to charge the full contract service fee! Stay away!!!!!!! Anti-military!

Vivint is by far the worst alarm company imaginable. Their equipment is all junk, their technicians don't have a clue what they're doing, their customer service is actually laughable. Trying to keep this equipment even borderline operational is a part time job.

Do not go with Vivint. There are hundreds of other companies that are much better and easy to deal with. Vivint has a lot of hidden contracts and such that they get you stuck in so you can’t leave when you figure out how awful they company really is. Please go with Ring or something else.

Horrible company. Used them for several years and when you try to cancel the account (we moved to a new home) it is next to impossible to cancel your account. Multiple calls, emails, followed exact steps to cancel account, still getting "Overdue account" notices. Very shady, would never use this company again.

Vivint salespeople make tons of promises of upgrades and discounts and then in reality when you receive your first bill everything is messed up. I have had to fight over and over with Vivint to get them to honor our agreement and still it’s not right and I’m 8 months into service. It’s a terrible company and their service is pitiful.

I would not recommend Vivint. The smart home system is very glitchy. Within the last month I have made multiple phone calls to try to fix it at one point I went without a heater for two days in 30° weather. Vivint told me to go buy space heaters.

DDRhone in Washington, DC It show all positive active but I have 3 criminal activities to happen at my home and it showed nothing like the criminal was invisible... police was stock as I was and the camera in the back give a great view of my car but shows no movement. It is the absolute worst and customer service has no act of good faith.

Vivint is the worst company for installation of a security system. The Atlanta, Georgia office provides horrible customer service. I scheduled installation twice and both times the appointment was cancelled without my authorization. This corporation lacks professionalism and is unreliable.

We have used Vivint for about three years. The connection of the doorbell cam to the cell phone is so slow that it's impossible to see who is at the door in a timely manner. I would not recommend this home security system.

I told Vivint I was selling my house last December 2018. They are still trying to get me to pay for a contract I never agreed to. Now they have sent it to a collection agency. I have a credit rating of 816, does that sound like I don't pay my bills? Don't do business with Vivint, they're crooks . I recommend Simplysafe.

Awful service. Do not get this service. They’ll charge you full price for a damaged system and they’ll never send a technician to really solve your issue and if they do they’ll charge you for something they should’ve provided for the money you’re paying in the first place!

They tricked my 87 year old mother into a 5 year contract. She never signed. After talking with them several times to get out of the contract without satisfaction, she continues to pay $50 plus per month. They are just a bunch of snakes, taking everything they can. DO NOT USE THEM.

Everything about this company is a joke. I only rated them a 1 star because I had to but I would have rated them 0 out of 5. They sale you the equipment and at first everything seems good but quickly goes bad. There needs to be a class action law suit against this company. What a nightmare.

Rip off company, they will make unauthorized withdraws to your bank account. You call into customer service and receive different information every time. Try and cancel and then they come up with additional charges to remove the system. Not a good company. Horrible customer service, Fraudulent, dishonest.

Sold home the new buyers were to take over the system .Vivint should get us a refund or cancel our contract found out they just transfer my equipment to them and want me to pay it off . So they can collect twice off the same equipment. What a scam/

Salesman very pushy. Half way through I told him I was not interested and refused to sign any further. He keep on with the sign up process with my roommate. Monthly payment is his responsibility yet they are coming after me for payment. Wish someone from company would contact me and get my name off and make him responsible.

A Vivint sales rep just left my house. He was trying to invite himself into my home. He made me feel very uncomfortable. Next time he comes back I will make sure my husband answers the door. I have a funny feeling that the sales reps setup burglaries in the neighborhood once they find out which homes do not have a security system.

The salesman was rude, ignored my no soliciting sign, reached for my door handle and said, “is this locked? I need to look inside.” I finally had to shut the door in his face. Two days later, he was back, same attitude, not listening or going away. Same ending. I have turned in a complaint with the company.

Scammy sales tactics!! As other people mentioned the sales guy kept taking about free equipment but it’s not free - you pay for it in monthly installments. They’ll open their pitch with the free stuff to get in the door but don’t waste your time with them if you’re not interested in spending $1500+ on equipment.

Had Vivint in my home for a few years before moving; equipment is average at best. They make you lock in for long-term contracts and Customer Support is extremely inflexible in altering contracts based on changes in lifestyle. Stay away and go to more flexible options such as SimpliSafe!

Vivint is a scam. It’s not professional at all. The equipment I got is worth $1826.00 but now I was told, that I have to keep a 5 years contract to pay for the equipment. At the end of my contract i will be paying $3900.00 . what a shame this company is.

We have been trying to cancel this service since Feb, when our contract ended, both by phone and in writing. They continued to charge my credit card month after month. Finally I was able to get the charges on my card stopped through the assistance of my credit card company and now they are sending me bill through the mail! Buyer Beware!
