I totally disagree with their rating. I've been a customer for over two years with two homes and the system is affordable and it is cost effective professional monitoring. A three year warranty for the components is more than sufficient. If the component turned out to be defective outside of the warranty it's cheap to replace. Why are they making a judgment for not having a touch screen? If you want a good, basic cost effective home alarm monitoring system then Simplisafe is for you. Simple and Safe!

We installed Simplisafe several months ago anticipating an extended trip we were taking this summer. It has been great, and we have had numerous security systems in the 24 home we have owned. It was super simple to install, and we had great help from their customer service to do the install....operation is easy...push a button and the system tells you your status and if any of the system is down. When we went on our trip we knew we were covered and that we would be notified if there was a problem. The only problem we have had is the little key fob my husband carries with his keys in his pocket....twice the keys and the fob align right and the alarm button gets pushed by the keys...the first time we caught it in time to disarm, the second time we didn't and we had a knock at the door by 2 policemen, after explaining what happened it was fine and my husband is no longer allowed to carry the fob on his key ring. All in all, that was a very convencing test of the system and we are feeling even safer in our home now.

We have had our system for over 2 years and love it. Since we own it, we have complete flexibility in the configuration ... need another sensor? just order it. Want another smoke detector, just order it. Online status and configuration is awesome. Keep track of sensors, their battery status, etc. We're moving soon and can remove and reinstall the system in just a few hours. User comments about key fobs are valid. We usually don't use ours ... key pad works just fine.

Have had my Simplisafe alarm for about a year. System was easy to buy, simple to set up and for a relatively low price protects my home. I rate the system about a 9.5 to 10.0. The only problem I have is getting the system alarm set. Often takes several times punching in numbers to set it. This system is well worth investing in for personal and asset safety

We purchased for our home in Fl. We live most of year in Mo. Love cost, install, we were broken into, they contacted us fast but took the police an hour to show up. It did what it was to do. It got them out!!! I recently see they now have an interior camera which I will be adding. I would love to see outside wireless camera. My only complaint is our home is outside city, wifi service is not as good as city. Our system only works near the front door. I have my keypad right on the half wall at the front door, with everythg else. Which it would be easy for theif to take the system with them, fortunaetly they took the tv, never explored the rest of the house. I want an outside camera, may have to add from another company.

The Simply Safe system gives so you many options from a very simple system, to a highly optioned system to meet your specifications. Their support team will help you through answering all of your questions. The cost of 24 hour monitoring s half the price of the other companies. You are able to completely configure response times, and add or delete components of your system very easily. I highly recommend their home security product.

We have had this system for a couple of years now. It works perfectly for our needs. Like that we can put it on HOME when we leave and leave the dogs there and the doors and windows are protected against entry, but the dogs can move around inside without setting off the alarm. It has always come through. Very quick response. We did add cameras from another source to supplement. The only problem we have had was my husband had the key fob in his pocket. He turned it on without being aware of it. We were out and driving, so he did not answer the call figuring we would see who called once we were parked. So...the company called our house. We had a dog sitter who did not answer our phone. Alarm continued to howl, police came..scared our poor sitter to dealth. All was ok..but we do not carry the fob with us anymore!

This was extremely easy to install and so" simpli" easy to turn on and off. I like the fact that if we move we can take the system with us. It is a no frills system, but it serves its purpose and the price of the equipment and monthly monitoring fee are reasonable. This is our first home security monitoring service and I like that they have an initial 3 day "break in". It does take getting use to. Very happy with the purchase.

Simple to install and easy to program. I bought refurb packages for both homes. Thinking about a third system for our RV. Best value for the money. I like the flexibility in activation and monitoring. I.E. I can activate monitoring on the RV when I am on the road with it or suspend monitoring on any property at any time. Monitored security systems on 3 properties for $45 a month with no long term contract cannot be beat. Customer service has been superb!

I wanted a safety system that used up to date technology but didn't have the annoying monthly subscription requirement so I chose SimpliSafe. I have had the system for a few years now and I will say, batteries on all devices are easy to replace, customer service has been great (they have sent me free batteries in the past) and the technology is very reliable over time. The main control pad does remind you all the time that you are not connected to the dispatcher (these require monthly fees) but it also tells you when batteries are low, devices are not responding and if it needs an updated. I feel much safer in my home using SimpliSafe!

This is a review of SimpliSafe and their installation company HelloTech. I live in a relatively small town. I ordered a SimpliSafe package online with an AARP discount of 45%! However, when I called HelloTech for installation they said they had no installer in my area. I called SimpliSafe and asked to return the system and they sent me a prepaid label to return the system at no cost. A month went by and HelloTech called and said they authorized a tech to come from an hour away to install my system. I contacted SimpliSafe and reordered the system and they honored the AARP discount even though the discount had expired. Great service from both companies! I have only had the system for two weeks but it sends a test alarm just fine.

Super expensive upfront and is OK if it works. If your base station decides not to connect to your Wi-Fi anymore, good luck getting anyone from SimpliSafe to help you reconnect it. Basically threw away $900. Really unsatisfied.

Overated poor support and customer service. Outdoor camera is pretty good if on 1080p but battery drains quickly. Batteries DO NOT last anywhere near claimed. Don't care what they say. Even with all settings at min and some off. You also will not have control over deleting timeline entries. Can't be done. Waste of money even on sale. Batteries are a constant maintenance issue. Practice your ladder skills. My opinion junk.

I purchased and installed Simplisafe with monitoring. A short time later my home was burglarized. The burglars stole a lot of stuff, and even took all the Simplisafe equipment. I purchased and installed it again with monitoring. A few months later I was burglarized a second time and they stole just about everything that was left in the house, including all of the Simplisafe equipment. I called Simplifafe and this time they sent new equipment at no charge. I installed it with monitoring. About six months later the home was buglarized a third time and you guessed it, they also took all of the Simplisafe equipment. As they say, once fooled, twice shy. Took my three times but now I am through with the Simplisafe system.

Had Simplisafe for years. It is very simple and needed no interaction with customer service. Then I moved and needed them. I spent 7.5 hours on the phone over 7 different conversations and they still could not get a system set up. They put you on hold for 20 mins at a time hoping you will hang up. I didn't, just multitasked until they came back on the line and were surprised I was there. I finally just cancelled and am looking for an alternative right now. You roll the dice with simplisafe....

They were wonderful until I called to cancel service due to relocating, then it was an absolute nightmare. I was on hold for what I was told would be 2 minutes but after 13 minutes I hung up and called again. You can not call a week ahead to have service canceled for a future date. Instead you have to call the day you are moving and go through the half hour nightmare then. I really hate businesses who make it so easy to set up an account but make it so hard to cancel.

The SimpliSafe system is very simple. Almost too simple. We followed the directions for installation and everything seemed to work great...at first. The window and door sensors are attached with double stick tape and within the first week, 4 of them just fell off in the middle of the night causing the alarm to sound. Since then, several others have been accidentally knocked off or just fell off by themselves. They do give you extra double stick tape for this. After a few months (during COVID) I stopped paying for the monthly monitoring fee to save a bit of money. Little did I know that without the monitoring, many of the features and functions do not work. We have a couple of cameras which are now useless. Also, you cannot control or monitor your system with your smartphone. The only functions that still work are via the keypad. (basically you can turn on/off the alarm...that is it). They advertise, "no contracts, no gotchas, no hidden anything", but they do not tell you that most of your systems higher functions will not work without the monthly monitoring fee.

We had ADT and Brinks for years and hated them. We have had SimpliSafe for 3 years in both our houses now. It gets the job done well and the monitoring charge is a lot less then other companies. The monitoring staff call immediately if we trip the alarms. No problems with equipment. We recommend them based on our experience w/the company.

Have not have any issues concerning equipment or it's service. I recently started using the service this month. I had put it off hold for over a year, because of the COVID response to stay home. When I finally set it up, I called the operator and went step by step how to set up my alarm system with no qualms or problems. Need more employees to fill in to less call waiting and a stronger customer repose time.

We've had SimpliSafe for a couple of years now and are very pleased with their equipment and service. The other day armed the system and drove off. Within a block of my house, receive their call saying that I had an alarm. As it turns out, I had pressed the wrong button (the At Home rather than the Away button).

Got this system so my 90-year-old mother would feel safer when I was not around. Do not understand all the negatives about customer service as our experience has been EXCELLENT. They are very responsive, quick and always available if I have any questions. No problems at all with the equipment either. Highly recommend.

Comparing apples to apples, I had ADT and now Simplisafe, for the money you get the same if not slightly better system with Simplisafe. Not bashing ADT, but for the money, why pay $20 for a gallon of milk if you can get that same gallon for $2.

I've been a customer for almost 10 years. They have their issues but all and all have been pretty good. If you've seen my other reviews I am a stickler for good support. They don't have that. I also have had issues with their previous system, errors going dead but since upgrading to the new system I've not had as many. For the price and flexibility a great buy.

I'm totally satisfied with my SimpliSafe system. It was so easy to install. Customer service is super friendly and quite helpful. They call very fast when an alarm trips. So far just it's just been me setting it off by accident. Totally recommend this system. It is priced reasonably and the monitoring is quite affordable.

Easy installation, friendly customer service. One of my cameras had an issue with the shutter. I called and it was replaced quickly. Plus no contract cancel anytime and start back up. I recommend simplisafe if you want an easy install and coverage.

Got the basic system a few weeks ago and am very pleased. Ordered sensors for the windows and they shipped the wrong ones. Called support and in less then 10 minutes they had the correct sensors being shipped and e-mailed me a shipping label to send the wrong ones back. Very pleased with them.

Very easy to install and get working, it took me a half hour. Video Doorbell and indoor cameras work very well and indoor camera doubles as motion sensor. No outdoor camera available and app is basic. Got 5 motion sensors, two water, camera and doorbell for less than $500. Simple solution for dogs and cats with motion sensors. Good customer service. Good value for the money.

This system is the best handsfree gadget I have in my house. Only minor maintenance needed (change keyboard/ siren) batteries once a year and good to go. Set it, forget it.....no bs, no problems, does the job and monitoring is inexpensive. An area that everyone else screws you. Owned and operated at my house going on 6 years. 9.5!!!!!

Had to address some recent comments. Just bought my system last week. I called Customer service at 7 PM Eastern to turn off the "practice mode" and they answered right away...no hold time. Then I used the test mode and the monitoring center called within about 30 seconds! System was affordable and seems to work as expected

Easy to install, instructions are lacking some key information though. Didn't explain that I would continue to get sensor failure notifications until I activated all sensors. Had left a couple door sensors in the box to install later and they kept giving me error messages. Took two calls to support to find that out. If it wasn't for that and the long waits for support (20-30 minutes), I'd give 5 stars. Super easy to set up and responds well so far. I didn't expect top of the line technology so not disappointed with what I have.

After receiving my alarm system and setting it up, which was easy the test continued to fail to send. I moved the base toward my window per the suggestions. After calling your customer service, I was informed that the T-Mobile based stations were a general issue with connecting and could take hours. So five hours later and 3 retests, the system is still not working correctly. I am now the proud owner of a security system that offers no security. I have read that the T-Mobile stations were commonly producing the connection problem. Without the base station connecting I am unable to have monitoring and just get a loud noise if something were to happen. This will make me feel so much better to hear the beeping sounds as I am being robbed. I am sure the sounds will be calming especially since no one will be notifying the police since your inferior T-Mobile base stations do not work correctly. This will also be great for a legal fight since a company representative acknowledged there was a problem.

Purchased in 2015, then in Novembeer 2017,the system failed. Had even purchased new batteries from Simple Safe that month. Checked batteries...all ok. Key pad would not function correctly, then would not recognize the motion sensors (4). Took forever to get through to tech advisor. She did entry of all units on my account and system came up again...for two days and then crashed. Have been using E mail trying to get a technician to call me...suggested specific time and date so I would not miss any call. Been on telephone for over an hour trying to get someone. Nothing. No reply to my e mail. Over 30 days and counting asking for help and no response. Did get my monitoring bill this month. Sorry I got involved. with this system. UPDATE: I have cancelled Simple Safe. Had to go through the alarm monitoring service to reach them to cancel.

I had ADT for many years and due to cost dropped it. I now have simplisafe in my new home and they are more responsive then ADT was when we have accidental alarm set offs. It is lower cost with better response. Cannot ask for anything better.

Positives first: easy to install, customize. The system is relatively inexpensive and affordable compared to other systems. Negatives: Batteries for the key pad are very expensive when they wear out and have to be replaced. Quality of key chain clickers is very poor. The end caps fall off, so I've had to scotch tape them on. Have had to replace two when the device inside the clicker that holds the little silver battery in place fails, and no contact is made/clicker inop. I can't understand why S.S. can't make a durable clicker. Contrast that with the clicker for my 15 year old Dodge Durango which still works and has survived multiple years on a keychain. Twice I've gotten a "no connection to dispatch" error message which means the connection with their cell phone company they contract with for the base unit is having a problem. I was anxiously awaiting the release of their camera to add to the system, but when it came out I learned it can't be used outside. I've had a thief steal items out of my carport, including bolt-cutting padlocks, even with my S.S. signs up. (The house itself hasn't been broken into.) The point is I was hoping to add a system compatible camera to the outside of the house and was disappointed when the long-awaited release of S.S.'s new camera would not do the job.

They are also tied into local rules for registering home alarm systems if applicable. Smooth process start to finish.

Outstanding equipment, very professional customer service, and installation was a snap. Simple and easy to do. Price was reasonable, considering I own the equipment, and monitoring is the least expensive around with no contract. Should be rated one of the highest and most efficient systems around.

Very quick to help change a faulty motion sensor for free over a year later and also found a closer cell tower to my location and sent a free exchange cell card for my base station for better connection. I have had other systems and will always use Simplisafe from now on.

WHETHER YOU USE THE COMPLETE SET UP OF USE SOME ON THE ENTRY AND EXIT DOORS WITH A FEW MOTION DETECTORS YOU CAN HAVE COMPLETE ASSURANCE THAT SOME ATTENTION WILL BE DRAWN TO THE ALARM. I've had this service for 6 months and I LOVE it! I tell all our Family and Friends. I pay $ 24.95 per mo. but, I have Cameras and I can go on my phone and look inside my house at anytime. I can also turn my alarm off and on from my phone which is a great feature if you forget to set your alarm.

Simple and easy to install. I had the system for over a year and recently added a water sensor to my A/C pan and added two of the HD cameras. Very high quality video, but they don't sell an outside camera yet. I added a Ring floodlight cam and now I'm a happy camper. No false alarms to date . Very satisfied with my system.

We have been very happy with the system. It was easy to install and works great. The only reason that I gave a 9 instead of a 10 is that I wish the camera had a battery option (but I suspect battery life would be an issue). There are some additional perks with the more expensive (but still cheaper than ADT) monitoring option, but the basic $14.95 works great for us.

Had ADT for five years was the worst thing I ever did went to these guys and it is like night and day they are spot on, good equipment and great monitoring, every time I test my equipment I get a call in less than 30 seconds it took ADT three minutes one time to call. Best thing I ever did getting rid of ADT and going with these guys.
