I thought we signed up for ADT, turns out it was Safestreets. Installed Sept 2021. They took seizure of my phone line....I cancelled ASAP ... Safestreets threatened me with breaking a Contract and it would go on my credit report....I told them to pick up equipment, they never did. They continued to charge my cc card one year! After one year contract goes back to ADT! Safestreets never advised me or communicated, now I'm on phone with ADT over an hour and no one knows protocol! I'm waiting for a refund but can't get anyone who talks english! This is FRAUD!

Our service has not worked from day 1. Many service calls to our address did not fix the problem. Many calls with no refunds on the amounts taken out of our account from them. When called to terminate they said we had to pay 1700 to terminate stating we are under contract. Would not let us out of it even though they have not lived up to their end. Do not use them or trust them! We have been robbed! We are forced to pay for a service that does not work and never has and is well documented. This is Illegal!!!!!!

They are more of a bait and switch scam. I’m bummed that I signed up with them. Their customer service is just exhausting, and their equipment is hilariously overpriced. Even the “gift card” rebate is a scam. It’s a debit card that won’t work. It just makes me feel like I got robbed by the company that I invested in to protect me from theft.

The agent convinced us to purchase equipment, we were told we could relocate with the equipment, however when it came time to move we were advised they couldn’t relocate the equipment and we would have to leave the equipment behind!!! We are out over $1,000. Please do yourself a favor and don’t do business with this Shady Company

SafeStreets, which is a separate company from ADT, started the install two month ago. They are coming out a third time because the system is still not functioning properly (ie - opening a door is not setting off the alarm). The control panel also does not allow you to change settings, like turning off the beeping when you set the alarm at night. I really wish I had gone with a different alarm company. We used to have Protection One, which is owned by ADT, and we did not have many problems with them. Really wish I would have just used them again this time.

Worst experience ever especially Cody F who helped me to install equipment asked to choose the package on top of what i already had and found out the equipment only cost 30% of what they charged when he said is the discount price, never listen to them if you already get the quoted from ADT, should just tell them shut their mouth and install what i initially quoted for. Shame on what he did

ADT and SafeStreet are running a bait and switch scam. They offer the door camera, but against your wishes, install a full system. Plus, the 2-year contract for their crappy service. Avoid them like the plague!!! FRAUD! FRAUD! Very bad experience. I asked the agent to leave - that I did not want the service- he bullied me and harassed me. He stayed for more than an hour more- installing product I had already repeatedly refused. I had to call police to have him removed and a police report was filed. Now I am told I have had service for many months- even though there is absolutely no equipment here. And to pay thousands of dollars in fees . Bad service bordering on assault of an elderly woman unable to defend herself from this predator.

I've had two years of grief from ADT. Took over my account, that I have had for 25 years, from Brinks. Horrible communication. Terrible service. Wrote many letter and made many phone calls. Sent complaint to BBB where ADT evaded the problems. Ran me credit without my permission and disconnected sensors I previously paid for with Brinks. Will have to, most likely, sue in Federal Court to have any possibility of satisfaction. AVOID!!!!!!

Garbage customer service. Their equipment burned up the wires in my doorbell chime an hour after install. They wouldn't come back right away b/c it was a Saturday. Been trying to cancel and being told that I need to pay a early term penalty and give 30 day notice even though I signed up with them 18 days ago and their equipment could have burned my home down.

I entered into a 3 year contract with 'ADT' and 'Safe Street'. Upon completion of my contract, they have locked my control panel from ever being useable with another provider. I have asked several people with customer service, only to be told the unlock code is 'proprietary' and locking the equipment to only them, even thou you paid them for it. This essentially locks you permanently into a contract with them, even though you agreed to a term, they want you forever.

I have been having a VERY bad experience with ADT, I got a quote for $27/ month but the installer misled me on the price and charging me $57. Importantly, I reported a problem with my equipment for over 3 months, it is still not fixed. I reported to the corporate office, they were not of any help and I am stuck with a 5 years contract. What a shame to have this kind of company in the market who mislead the customers. I strongly discourage everyone to use ADT for their security because I do not know if my home is protected or not. Thaeu have not fixed my problem yet.

Bate and switch would best describe this company and their marketing. If you are drawn in by their pricing incentives and glitzy advertising while allowing them to send a technician to survey your needs, you are making a mistake. Never again will I have anything to do with ADT. This is a front to get a pressure sales person into your home to install a pricy system. Very misleading and expensive. Do not trust these people.

My mother used ADT for many, many years and paid an unusually high monthly fee. (Her premiums did nothing but go up while new customers were given lower rates.) When she had a stroke followed by skilled nursing home care and death, I called to have the service discontinued. Did they express gratitude for her years of paying them or refuse to cancel until the request for put into writing, enabling them to get another one and 1/2 more months in payments? Bet you guessed correctly! I will never forgive them for being so hard hearted and money hungry and would never recommend them.

I had bad experience with ADT, I got quote over the phone and they told me they will give me credit for all equipment and after technician came in my house he want to charge me extra for equipment and he take out my previous security keypad on the wall and he cut wire for my air conditioner after I said no I don't want work with ADT and he didn't fix my stuff and he left. I paid $300 to electrician to come and fix those thing he misstep. I never suggest this company to any one .

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. ADT (AND DEFENDERS -ADT QUOTES YOU ONE PRICE, COME NAD PUT HOLE IN YOUR WALL AND THEN TELL YOU ANOTHER PRICE. THEN THEY WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK TO A MANAGER. YOU HAVE TO CALL A GENERAL CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER (CINDY IN IN), WHO SAYS YOU NO LONGER HAVE AN ACCOUNT SINCE I DID NOT LET THEM FINISH INSTALLING SO I CANNOT TALK TO A MANAGER. I NEED TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR THE WALL , E-MAIL AN ADDRESS WITH ATTACHED PHOTOS AND MAYBE THEY WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE WHOLE IN MY WALL. BEWARE STAY AWAY- TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!

ADT is a joke very bad install a wireless system took over 5 hours to install with only 6 sensors and 1 panel , panel not level a refund is said to take 10 to 15 days but it actually takes 30 days remember you are dealing with 2 different companies when doing this, it is crap and a hoax BUYER BEWARE! customer service just tries to make you feel happy when in turn no one gives the same answer! DON'T FALL VICTIM!

DO NOT GET ADT!!! Do yourself the favor. The false alarms are insane. The steam from a shower set off fire alarm 3 times but then the HUGE fire that almost burned down my house..not a beep from this alarm! I was paying $32 a month JUST waiting for the 3yr contract to be up, I have been trying to cancel it for 3 months NOW they charge my debit card over $150 JUST cause I'm trying to cancel it. Not for anything extra just accidental charges they promised to refund IF I stay on with them!! BLACKMAIL! They will steal your $$. Who is keeping us safe from THEM!

Service was canceled within 2 days per cancellation policy. SafeStreets bought the company who installed the “Free “ system. SafeStreets has called the house 3-4 times a week asking Us to pay for the years monitoring and to get Us to reconnect with them. They claim that the accounts that they aquired are still active. They continue to harass Us even though we sent them a copy of the cancellation notice and ADT agreed and told SafeStreets that they had canceled the service.

If you plan to move within your 3-year contract period, you're stuck with having to establish a new, 3-year agreement each time. The contract is for the address -- not the person -- so if there's a remote possibility that you may move and you're not in your forever home, don't go with them. Because I relocated and am in a temporary residence for a year, I had to buy-out my contract rather than being unnecessarily locked in for at least four more years (one year here, then a new contract and 3-year period when I move again). Not everyone will be able to afford that option.

For the monthly price it's not that bad, but send out a rep or have to have your system repaired or upgraded, the bill is shocking! For the price I really wish we would have just put in ring security system with cameras. By the time my alarm goes off and I get a call from ADT, while I'm on vacation, and I tell them to go ahead and call it in I'm not home I could have looked at a ring security system and called my local police department. I am seriously rethinking my home security system. I'd recommend looking into other options for the price.

Ron H rep#35589 installed faulty equipment and has not checked in to see if it was operational. This man sold me faulty security equipment, equipment used to protect my family. What a disgrace they are to incorporate the word safe in their name.
