I have never owned a security system before, so I was nervous about how difficult it would be to install and get used to arming and disarming daily. This was so easy to install! The onscreen made the process very simple and quick. My husband was also impressed with how easily you can use this system. The monthly fee is a great price as well! Cove customer service was very helpful with all of my questions and concerns Shipping did not take long at all. I love not having to be locked into a contract, even though after receiving the product I will never use another system. I would strongly reccomend Cove to everyone looking for a new system or to even upgrade their old system.

Worst customer service ever. Avoid at all costs. Was a customer for 3 years. Got manipulated into upgrading my system being told it would work with my existing sensors. First when it arrived I was told they couldn’t register it because the code on it was registered to someone else. Once they finally got that fixed, my current sensors DO NOT work with it. They said they’d send more but refused to ship it faster (their shipping takes two or more weeks) even though they lied to me. I am left with a useless system right now. Avoid. They also have useless insincere apologizes and never follow through.

Easy to deal with but I keep having connection issues with some of my sensors. I have had them reset, even replaced. Still in ongoing issue. It seems to be one or two sensors that are furthest from the panel, yet there is a ton of Wi-Fi throughout the house so that should not be a problem. Cove has no answers for me. Very disappointed! They also do not have a doorbell chime that is part of their system, like several other companies do. They also used to be able to sync up with the Google hub and now they no longer do so I was misinformed about that. Overall, very disappointed

i highly don’t recommend this company. sure the customer service is helpful and quick, but the equipment sucks. there’s a 30 second delay when entering the house, which gives someone plenty of time to grab something and run before the alarm sounds. the outside camera only records when motion is detected, you do not have live feed after that motion like you do on the indoor camera. the outside camera also doesn’t have human detection? very dumb. the glass break monitor was set off by my kid screaming, scared them for nights because they thought there was a monster. my door sensor falls off constantly. i can’t watch the live feed when my power or wifi go out. i really wanted my money back but they consider the day you place the order as the start of your trial. how can you try something that you don’t have?? i received my package on 6/22/21 and 55 days later on 8/16/21 i am trying to get a money back return but i cannot because i placed my order 62 days ago.. so dumb. only keeping the service because the equipment is basically pointless without it. without the service you will not be notified if anything is detected or someone enters. the alarm will just go off until you get home.

Thanks Melissa for your review. To answer your question: Our panel assumes you are staying home if you don't open a door after arming away from the panel and defaults to "Stay" mode to prevent false alarms. If you use your smartphone app or remote to arm away then this won't happen.

we have had our alarm now for almost 3 years when we moved into our home it was simple to set up and to use. About a year ago we had a small issue when the app would no longer disarm the alarm. After calling in and working with tech support to fix the problem they figured out it was an issue with the panel so the ended up sending us out a new control panel witch fixed the problem and we have continued to enjoy the security system.

To begin with I have used a security system in all of my homes since 1995. They have all had monitoring. Over the years the systems have become more technical and do more to protect your home including video monitoring. My last system or should I say the one I was replacing with this Cove system was a self install manufactured by Frontpoint. It went in and has functioned without any issues for the past four years. I like this system but their monitoring fee was getting to be too much ( over $50.00/mo no video monitoring). So after some research I decide to go with Cove. Well I can only say that it has been a nightmare from start to no finish. The installing company they contact with was a no show. I had to call in to find out the installer had over booked and rescheduled me with no notice. Meanwhile I wasted an entire day waiting for them? After this I decided I would self install. Big mistake. You need an app on your phone to install video devices. Well after nearly an hour on the phone their technicians and even a supervisor could not figure out why I could not log into their application. I have been promised a call back but am not holding my breath. So far I have installed all of the components except the exterior mounted camera which is charging. When I say installed I mean they are attached to my home. Whether they are working or not depends on what piece you are talking about. I keep getting warnings from the panel that this devices are low on battery life etc. These are brand new out of the box. When I told the service tech this he did not offer to send a replacement or anything. In fact he just kept hammering me to type in the same username and password until I was locked out. He would not listen. He kept acting like I was not getting the username and password right? Finally he figured out he could not log in with my id either. So then came a supervisor. Same dance. I must be an idiot and cannot type. Oh well, sorry sir I cannot log in either. This after nearly an hour! I am so frustrated I want to rip it all of the windows, doors and ceilings and send it back. So sorry I ever went this route. Frontpoint has offered to upgrade my system and reduce my monitoring fee if I stay with them. That may be faster and quicker than trying to install this very shaky system which seems to have very poor technical support. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor who could not figure things out at the tech's desk. I asked him what number he would be calling from so I would be sure to pick up ( lots of scammers) but he could not give me that information. So I told him I may or may not pick up unless he goes to voicemail and leaves a message. Such a big headache for something that should not be so tough. Does not instill any faith in Cove. The system just now announced the hall motion sensor has now lost connection to the panel? I think the batteries are probably dead in that as well. Had to replace them in the smoke detector as well. This is brand new stuff? Good thing I left the other system on line and intact as I think this whole junk system is going to go straight back to where it came from. Very frustrating experience. As a follow up I was contacted by a Cove Customer Service representative regarding this review. I want to say that their customer service and dedication to their customers is excellent. I think that things went sideways for me when the third party installer rescheduled without any notice leaving me unable to make their appointment time. So I decided to self install. For me that did not go well. I admit I lost patience and felt like after I started getting error messages I could not trust the equipment. For now I kept my existing Frontpoint system and Cove returned my money in full. I hope they consider some other installers as the company they had come out to my place was just too busy and not professional in their conduct in terms of zero communication. Their time was more important than mine I guess. Sadly this reflected back on Cove in this review.

Everything about the ordering & installation was a breeze. I’ve contacted their customer service on multiple occasions with questions and feedback & they were nothing but receptive and informative. They are always quick to return my emails an provide a friendly atmosphere. I have referred many family members and friends in their direction. The only downsides are the security camera they offer is not integrated in the app or system at all, they do not allow custom options for individual sensors, and they currently do not have an online computer portal. But for the price and customer service , they can’t be beat.

I bought the system a couple months ago. So far i haven't had a problem. Customer service has always been amazing when i call. The response time has been amazing when the alarm gets set off accidentally (which has happened since i had to get use to setting the alarm lol) i even ordered more sensors as well without any problems. I would recommend this system to everyone.

There are a few things that sets Cove apart from the rest. First, I like the fact that it's a central security system that uses cellular signals rather then WIFI. Second, there is no contract. Lastly, they have simple vidoes to explain the installation. I have had it for 4-5 mos now and haven't had any problems. It's a great product at a good price.

Seen the ad on Facebook I had been wanting a alarm system that was wireless for my apartment so I said hey I. Going to give these guys a try the other guys want hundreds of dollars for their systems these guys just want monthly payments. So I signed up got it in 4 days too 20 mins to install they even asked if I needed help more then once they checked up on me and even called when I was testing it. I have had the system 4 days now it is fantastic works perfectly. I'm a cable tv tech so I know how to install these pretty easy but I must say this one by far is the best one

So I love my new Cove system. It was so easy to get started with it. The sales guy came and was super friendly and not pushy in any way. Paying for it was super simple and very convenient. Setting up was the fun part. I had my wife do it and it was so quick and easy. It had step by step instructions on the panel that made it a breeze. It’s very user friendly. I had a false alarm and they made it super easy to cancel that alarm. I highly recommend this service to everyone. I finally feel 100% safe in my home.

Cove Smart Security is the way to go! This system looks sleek and modern and monitoring prices are comparable to its competitors. Thrown into the mix was that the cost of the system is free upon keeping the monitoring service active for 3 years, definitely a win-win! Customer service was phenomenal in dealing with setup questions and they truly care about their customers. They have continuously gone above and beyond to make things right whenever an issue has come up. Try them! You won’t be disappointed.

A friend of mine's referred me to this company call Cove their security system is amazing and affordable. I have the door and window sensors the shatter sensor but they have so much more and I wish I had it all any way to protect my family and it's affordable it's amazing. The Cove Smart system was very easy to set up. I love the videos that are provided through their customer service website. If you have some challenges or questions with regard to setting up your system I recommend referring to the videos. They are super helpful. I also tested the customer service support center team. They are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. My opinion: this is the best alarm system for renters. I am very satisfied with the Cove Smart team and system!

The setup process was very easy to administer. You just need to open the boxes you receive, read over the included pamphlet, plug in the Cove Touch device, and follow the instructions on the Touch screen. Be ready to place the individual items where they will end up as that is crucial to a successful installation. The process took no longer than 15 minutes total. As some one who has been in the alarm industry, I can say without a doubt that cove is leagues above their competitors. They really nail the details. The system was a breeze to install, and everything functions just as advertised. There is no reason to get locked into a $50-60 a month contract (I know I used to sell them) when you could have all that and more with cove.

Brand new system was never QC, 3 sensors were never programmed to system. Customer service was able to connect 2 but smoke they could not confirm for 24-48 hours. Customer service could not change time on clock to show my time zone. Spent hour 1:35 on phone with customer service. When customer service walked me thru to add another user and their own code the system failed. We come home and tried to deactivate alarm with additional user code didn’t work. Company has yet to address any concerns and asked I for a return label, still haven’t heard back. Company outsourced. Nobody in the US ever responded Box that everything comes it is very nice!
