What is Cove LiveAssist?

The Cove touch panel has an integrated microphone and speaker to enable two-way communication with the company's professional monitoring team in the event of an alarm. This feature allows two-way communication directly from your panel. This can be done by arming your system and triggering an alarm. Or, you can press the call button on your panel to request a medical, fire, or police dispatch In an emergency, the monitoring center is able to speak to whoever is home, even if you've changed your emergency contact numbers. You can set up a verbal hostage code to relay to the monitoring center to discreetly dispatch emergency responders. This can also be accomplished via a four-digit hostage passcode. To set up your verbal hostage code, contact the company.

How does the 60-day, money-back guarantee work?

Cove wants all its customers to love its system, and the company understands that it may take time to try it out. Cove is confident that you’ll enjoy the increased peace of mind and added protection for your home and loved ones. If for some reason the company's system does not live up to your expectations within 60 days, send it back for a full refund. Cove will provide a complete refund of service and equipment charges, as long as you notify the company no later than 60 days following your date of purchase (the “60-Day Refund Period”). How do I choose my equipment?

Cove offers three levels of protection to accommodate its customers' unique needs:   Level 1 — Basic Protection Cove suggests you order sensors for your exterior doors and the main areas of your home. You accomplish this by using door sensors, motion sensors, and/or glass breaks. This level of protection is a great starting point, and everyone can afford it. Remember, you can always order more sensors later and add to your protection over time.  Level 2 — Intermediate Protection Purchase sensors for all your exterior doors and the main areas of your home. Cove suggests covering all ground-level windows with window sensors or glass breaks detectors for windows that don't open. The company also encourage considering flood sensors, carbon monoxide detectors, medical pendants, and fire detectors for additional safety. These sensors can help prevent damages and tragedies that could otherwise be life-altering. Keep in mind, some home insurance companies offer additional discounts for monitoring fire and flood in your home.   Level 3 — Advanced Protection Cover every entry point (doors and windows on all levels) to the home with at least one sensor. Sometimes having more than one sensor covering a vulnerable entry point can help act as a redundancy. For example, sliding glass doors can either be forced open (door sensor would protect this) or shattered (glass break sensor would protect this). Purchase motion sensors for all the main areas of your home. Include all life safety sensors and make sure you have at least one Smoke/Heat/Freeze sensor per level (floor) of the home.

What is Cove InstaText?

Cove InstaText is a revolutionary way to notify you and those you trust if an alarm is triggered.  When Cove's monitoring station receives an alarm from your system, InstaText is the first means of communication. InstaTex will send you a text message with a link where you can either dismiss the alarm or dispatch emergency responders. If Cove does not get a response in 15 seconds, it will attempt to reach you through the panel and via phone call. If you confirm your emergency, dispatchers will be contacted immediately. If you dismiss the emergency, you will be asked for your password.  You have the option to add emergency contacts when you set up your system. Your emergency contacts will also be contacted via InstaText if your alarm goes off. You can edit or add emergency contacts at any time by emailing Cove's support team.

The system arrived fast and was easy to install. I did have an installation issue which resolved with a quick phone call. Installation was straight forward and easy to follow instructions. The first couple of days in use I set the alarm and forgot to tell my husband the code...here come the police!! It works! Customer service is helpful and courteous. The base station is very substantial and very easy to use and add new monitors . I could not be more satisfied and glad I tried the new guy on the block. The reviews were very positive. I think this company will surely succeed if they keep up this level of service.

we have had our alarm now for almost 3 years when we moved into our home it was simple to set up and to use. About a year ago we had a small issue when the app would no longer disarm the alarm. After calling in and working with tech support to fix the problem they figured out it was an issue with the panel so the ended up sending us out a new control panel witch fixed the problem and we have continued to enjoy the security system.

I really like my Cove alarm system! The DIY setup is fast and step-by-step easy. Customer service is good but I haven’t needed them much. The product is good without their need. We’ve had police show up twice after the sensors were triggered. I feel peace of mind knowing my system is armed and calls the police when it is triggered.

To begin with I have used a security system in all of my homes since 1995. They have all had monitoring. Over the years the systems have become more technical and do more to protect your home including video monitoring. My last system or should I say the one I was replacing with this Cove system was a self install manufactured by Frontpoint. It went in and has functioned without any issues for the past four years. I like this system but their monitoring fee was getting to be too much ( over $50.00/mo no video monitoring). So after some research I decide to go with Cove. Well I can only say that it has been a nightmare from start to no finish. The installing company they contact with was a no show. I had to call in to find out the installer had over booked and rescheduled me with no notice. Meanwhile I wasted an entire day waiting for them? After this I decided I would self install. Big mistake. You need an app on your phone to install video devices. Well after nearly an hour on the phone their technicians and even a supervisor could not figure out why I could not log into their application. I have been promised a call back but am not holding my breath. So far I have installed all of the components except the exterior mounted camera which is charging. When I say installed I mean they are attached to my home. Whether they are working or not depends on what piece you are talking about. I keep getting warnings from the panel that this devices are low on battery life etc. These are brand new out of the box. When I told the service tech this he did not offer to send a replacement or anything. In fact he just kept hammering me to type in the same username and password until I was locked out. He would not listen. He kept acting like I was not getting the username and password right? Finally he figured out he could not log in with my id either. So then came a supervisor. Same dance. I must be an idiot and cannot type. Oh well, sorry sir I cannot log in either. This after nearly an hour! I am so frustrated I want to rip it all of the windows, doors and ceilings and send it back. So sorry I ever went this route. Frontpoint has offered to upgrade my system and reduce my monitoring fee if I stay with them. That may be faster and quicker than trying to install this very shaky system which seems to have very poor technical support. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor who could not figure things out at the tech's desk. I asked him what number he would be calling from so I would be sure to pick up ( lots of scammers) but he could not give me that information. So I told him I may or may not pick up unless he goes to voicemail and leaves a message. Such a big headache for something that should not be so tough. Does not instill any faith in Cove. The system just now announced the hall motion sensor has now lost connection to the panel? I think the batteries are probably dead in that as well. Had to replace them in the smoke detector as well. This is brand new stuff? Good thing I left the other system on line and intact as I think this whole junk system is going to go straight back to where it came from. Very frustrating experience. As a follow up I was contacted by a Cove Customer Service representative regarding this review. I want to say that their customer service and dedication to their customers is excellent. I think that things went sideways for me when the third party installer rescheduled without any notice leaving me unable to make their appointment time. So I decided to self install. For me that did not go well. I admit I lost patience and felt like after I started getting error messages I could not trust the equipment. For now I kept my existing Frontpoint system and Cove returned my money in full. I hope they consider some other installers as the company they had come out to my place was just too busy and not professional in their conduct in terms of zero communication. Their time was more important than mine I guess. Sadly this reflected back on Cove in this review.

Ordered cove system arrived on time. Was supposed to charge 17 bucks plus they hicked it up to 20 bucks charged me 2 or 3 months of security and it wasn't hooked up so they weren't monitoring anything. Dishonest and horrible CS.

Great gear, quality, monitoring services, easy installing, great customers service, fast delivery, lifetime warranty including batteries with $29, monthly full 24/7 monitoring, free moving remove and reinstall. As for the down side better peel and stick sensors tape for mounting would help but easy fix bay a 1/4 roll of double sided tape extra stick. Only certain surfaces need improved tape. Other than that all I'd 5 stars ot call any competitor and pay 2 or 4 times more 1 year warranties, monthly monitoring is way more and it relies on your home cive is self contained cellular with master panel all talk back monitoring centers to you on their system. IT'S 5 STARS!

Cove is really easy and quick to install. I love the phone app. I don''t know that I''d even use it. The monitoring service is really reliable and quick to respond when an alarm is tripped. We did have people trip our alarm while we were away on vacation and while it was family, had it been an intruder, the response time was so fast and I have no question that the authorities would have been in their way quickly. I''m very happy with our experience with Cove. I hope interior and exterior cameras make their way into Cove inventory soon as well as a camera doorbell system that can all be used with the phone app.

My experience with cove has been 100% positive. The set-up only took me less than an hour to compelete. I have 4 entry doors and 11 windows to alarm. I added glass breakage and motion sensors in several rooms. I've never felt so secure in my own home that I have owned for 40 years! I live on a busy corner in an established neighborhood. I totally recommend this security system and the company it represents. I had several phone calls when I first started my setup from the owners of the company to see if I needed any help with anything. I received phone calls to even help test my system out to make sure everything was installed correctly. It's hard these days to get any customer help in any store that you walk into. You know exactly what I'm talking about.....invest in this company because this company is invested in you!!

The panel I received has an intermittent issue where it loses power and the entire system goes offline. In this state the alarm becomes entirely useless. I called customer support for this issue a few weeks ago and they walked me through how to take apart and reset the panel. Now it did it again, and for another night my location was totally unsecured. Customer Support today again was insistent on us trying to reset the panel. They asked me 4 times to try it. I had to firmly refuse and insist on them sending out a panel that operated correctly. It's bad enough they sent me a faulty unit to start, but to try to get me to limp along with the clearly defective panel is totally unacceptable. They clearly are more concerned with selling a product than the actual security of your home/business. Update: 9-7-2022 After returning the faulty panel and getting a new one sent out from customer support, the new panel is having the same issue. It seems obvious to me at this point that these have a major issue with their AC Adaptor and its connection to the panel. If you get regular notifications about an "AC power failure", you are having the same issue. At some point the panel will likely lose power altogether and leave your home or business completely unprotected. Totally unacceptable design. Update: 10-26-2022 Now, not only is the AC adapter failing, but I've realized that the entire time I have had this replacement panel it hasn't been connected to the cellular network. Because there is no WIFI option with this system, that means my business was completely unprotected for months now. I called customer service, and while they agreed to refund equipment expenses, they only agreed to refund half of monitoring. I'm also being required to mail them their broken hardware again. I feel like they should be paying me an hourly wage to deal with all the problems I've had with their half-baked product. I was willing to pay any price for a security system that simply worked. This was clearly not it, and it took me a lot of headaches and troubleshooting to figure that out. If you can't trust it to work for even a majority of the time, you can't trust it to work ever. Spare yourself the experience I had and pick a different service.

The product was easy to install, the telephone support was initially disappointing because of their poor connection on their end with fading voice connection and noise in the background. Yesterday, when I ordered two more sensors the telephone support was very good. The phone connection was better and I could hear and understand the person on the other end. When I first ordered the product, their rep. canceled the order by mistake and no one contacted me. I had to reorder the product again and setup the sensor tagging again. This is important to do at time of order. I received poor support for the outdoor camera. The SD card had no instruction and their video did not show how to insert the card. I am hopeful the monitoring performs well in the future.

Our experience with Cove is going well! We had a slight connectivity issue with our window sensors, but as soon as we called customer service they starting working. I mention this as the rep stayed on the phone with us and tested all our sensors to be safe and gave us a few tips. We did see off the alarm by accident the first day; however realized we needed to adjust the lapse time of the response team to reach us/for the alarm to go off. It's been amazing! From the setup, which was surprisingly easy (My younger siblings could absolutely set this system up)! To the functions of the daily arming and disarming is basically flawless! We've had a couple accidents forgetting to disarm the system and as soon as the alarm goes off, not even 30 seconds later, Cove calls to make sure everything is alright. If I just so happen to not answer, a police is at my door in about 10 minutes. I love Cove!

Friendly customer service, acceptable equipment. Love the keypad and feel safe and secure when sleeping. I feel like the response time when the alarm is set off could be faster. I have accidentally tripped it a few times and it was about a minute before someone called or came over the speaker on the keypad box. The remotes work wonderfully and I can arm and disarm from my driveway pulling up to the house.

Generally very positive experience. Tech people need to be told they should always do what is necessary to please customer within reason. For instance, the problem of a non-sticking sensor at installation should not be met with purchase some double-sided tape at Lowes or Home Depot but rather we'll send you another sensor or some double-sided tape strips.

Our experience with Cove has been overall very good. Only complaint we had was when our alarm was accidentally triggered it took over 10 minutes for the monitor center to call. A lot can go wrong in 10 minutes, when I asked the rep about it she ignored the question and disconnected; otherwise, would be a five star review. Had to call Customer Service when we first got the system and they were amazing!!!

The truth isn’t being told about the security system I purchased one a little over a year ago and started getting the communication failure message right away 3-4 times a day. What really got me was on 8/23/22 the system started going off every 10 minutes with a alert on my phone saying motion detected in the living room at 5:30 PM on 9/22/22. I tried everything to stop these alerts on my phone took the motion sensor down and removed the battery still alerts every 10 minutes. I then removed the sensors from the panel still did not stop it so at 5:00 am I call the number for customer service I was ask a few questions which they stated was wrong and was told they couldn’t help me I even ask if they could look up my purchase by my address. I brought the system that you self install I don’t pay a monthly fee but I still thought they would stand behind their product. I need to upgrade my system but it will not be with cove that’s for sure. Finally at 6:46 am on the 13 hours after the alerts started I was able to stop the alerts by reinstalling the living room sensors. Their customer service is just awful and uncaring I only found out about the problems with this system by complaints on the BBB were there is over 80 complaints.

It’s been great. Wish Cove would carry there own camera system for indoor and outdoor. I also think they should have there own smart locks and doorbell. This would be the topping on the cake. I'm extremely happy with Cove's cost and installation. It was truly simple. Only two concerns. 1 I had no idea the camera doesn't connect to the system and this needs to be made more clear before and during purchase, it's totally separate. None of the packaging states this either. I would've liked to know upfront but I'm ok with it now and I feel many people whow want the camera connected would be upset to find this out after the fact. 2 the panel didn't prompt for the Co and Smoke Detectors like it did the other sensors. I called to confirm installation as directed but had to go back and add those. Once I added my extra points and got camera app setup and working, it's fine. Customer service was great, very helpful. I think this is a great product, happy and relieved to find it. You wouldn't believe what I paid for and went through with vivint for 5 yrs.

Ive had Cove for just a few months, but Cove has, by far, exceeding my expectations. The process to buy the system is seamless and easy to use, the equipment was shipped quickly too. The setup is even easier, it was installed in just minutes. I've ordered extra equipment after the initial purchase, and that too was an easy process from placing the order to adding it to the Home Control Panel. The Cove App from the phone has also been useful in that I I'm able to Arm and Disarm my system from my phone, anywhere, whenever someone needs to come into my house when in not home, like family or a friend. My home alarm has been triggered while I was not at home, and Cove Monitoring called me within seconds to let me know. The Cove Customer Service reps are outstanding and their response time is like none other, even on Social Media, I always get a quick and friendly response, and the best part it's a human. I do want to shout out Dallin who dedicated time to make sure any possible issue I encountered was addressed in an expeditious manner. I'm excited to see the features coming in the near future and I've already recommended Cove to several family, friends and coworkers. I'm confident my house is protected using Cove.

I am very impressed with my new COVE alarm system. I just got done installing my system and everything went pretty well. I did have one small glitch with one of the sensors not registering right away. The panel instructed me to call technical support but I thought I was going to run into a problem with that. I was installing my system at 10:30 PM on a Saturday night. I thought there was no way I am going to be able to get help with this now. I called the number for product support that came up on the panel and someone answered. This is good because there definitely should be monitoring reps available 24/7 but I figured tech support for installation issues would be closed. The person that answered was very helpful and explained that he would have someone from technical support call me back within an hour. I was really surprised with this because of the time. It wasn't 15 minutes later and a rep from technical support was on the phone with me and walked me through testing all of my sensors and we were able to verify for sure that all of the sensors were fine. Turns out the issue might have really been that I didn't leave one of the sensors triggered long enough the first time. The tech support rep was awesome and he not only took care of making sure my system was functioning 100% correctly but he then walked me through setting up the online app and made sure I was comfortable using the app and the entire system as well. That is exceptional service from a home security company at now 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I have used other companies before and never gotten this level of service from any of them. I would highly recommend using COVE. The ordering process was simple to navigate, the system was delivered as promised, the installation was really simple, and now I know for sure they are standing behind their product. Their prices for equipment and monitoring are very reasonable as well.
