I was under the impression initially that because I was being chosen as P R tool for my neighbor, that there would be no cost to me. But that soon changed as the conversation went on. I believe that Adler trained their workers to use that initial free line just to get the customer to take the bait. Well it worked but I just wanted you to know I could have rejected the whole deal, if I had wanted to but I'll try it out. Seems like something I can use.

Timing was bad the first day but Mike W. was awesome about accomodating our schedule. He explained everything and answered all my questions. Then on install Terrell was great to work with. He went through everything and showed us how to work it with no problems. They were both kind and courteous in our home.

Of I could give negative I would. The system never worked for us. I tried to cancel. Was told I had to finish my contract. So I paid for nothing for 5 years at $54.00 per month. Then my contract ran out in May. I have been trying to cancel. Call them get told I need to sign a form which they never send me. At one phone call they tried to get me to sign back up!!!!!!! I paid over $3000.00 for nothing. I am not that stupid to give more to your rip off scheme. Don't know what to do to get them to stop taking my money. Guess I may have to close my bank account. Total con job.

I was told a 2 year contract, so when I call in to cancel it, no, it's 6 more months.......... fine. Well, 6 months is up, no you still have 2 more years, oh and we are charging you 80 dollars now, not the 75 we promised. I was lied to on several things, including the cameras. I am very unhappy. Save yourself the lies, and go with a more trustworthy company. and they want over a thousand dollars for me top cancel what I was told was a 2 year contract. So they lie. Run away from them.

ALDER been taking money out our bank account since 2014 even though we have ADT since 2018. My husband used to pay all the bills in the house he can't anymore he's very ill I was told he called ALDER to cancel our service in 2018 but they never cancelled. So the money kept coming out our bank account so what they are telling me I have to pay to cancel even though all the free money they have received for a inactive account their equipment is no longer in my home. Where is the money going on an inactive system? I went to my bank and stopped the payments from coming out our bank account.

Ive had the system for over 4yrs now , I've tried too cancel my service before the renewal date.i have forgotten my verbal password , u have furnished every other piece of information. The 5 security questions , account the money is taken out of , the amount , the day , the location , ssn# , still not enough , I understand security but geez if I can furnish accounts, the amount , the time it comes out, im just trying to cancel a service that is about to be renewed and i do not want that service anymore , I've talked to Customer service , I've emailed customer service , I just want it fixed

Well to be honest my back door sensor went out 3 months ago. I talk with customer service bout this was the second time it went out no response. My alarm was triggered because door was not fully closed the response team called and ask if it was a false alarm and I said yes but still had the local mpd come out and I was charged.

They are not a company that I will ever use again. They are shady and unwilling to work with its customers. They try to trick you into a contract when you clearly state you can not be in a contract. Then they try to make you pay an outrageous price for their service that you will not even be getting.

Equipment is out of date. Lots of false alarms. When you call them you go through 4 it 5 different people and you still get no correct answer. Alarm was going off and they could not shut it off and could not come out for 5 days. Unacceptable.

I do not even want to give Alder ONE star. Crappy equipment that broke within three DAYS of installation. After a week of holds and transfers was told I can return the equipment which my husband and I had to uninstall ourselves and once they got it it'd be canceled. Alder verified they received the equipment and then the next month I was charged again. I called and was told my account did not fall into the cancelation requirements. So they were going to keep the equipment and just charge my account every month for FIVE years!! After 3 months this company has charged me 3 times after NUMEROUS calls to cancel this contract. Ended up having to dispute the charges for fraud. Worst company ever.

This a TERRIBLEcompany. i got my system April 4th i asked for 2 way cameras and they installed cameras that i thought was 2 way and they werent. and 1 of the cameras went out April 10th they wanted to charge me $49 to come out. to fix it. They never fixed my isssue about the 2way camera everytime i had a scheduled appt they would cancel. now they say they cant cancel my subscription unless someone else take over my account. They took their monthly fee every month though but couldnt fix my issue. Its not my fault both techs put in the wrong cameras this wasnt what i asked for and I'm not paying for this MESS. I took all their equipment down and they can have this MESS. CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They don't tell you it's a 5-year contract, they tell you that you have 30 days to cancel after signing. Then when you try to cancel, they tell you that you only have 3 days to cancel. They also auto-renew your 5-year contract without informing you unless you call them first and figure out the extremely long and difficult process of how to cancel, if it's even possible. Equipment isn't that great compared to other companies, customer service is horrible, and the employees and website are sketchy as in they don't provide all of the information you need to know about policies. Even your own contract is so difficult to find, I spent 1.5 hours on the phone just to get a copy of my contract.

My dad was diagnosed with dementia and I became power of attorney. My dad was not organized at all so over the years I have had some surprises but this one tops it I called them a few times about the service and had troubles sending power of attorney paperwork. Being that he is retired and poor health he's on a fixed income I tried to cancel. They told me that the contract goes for 60 months at a time and that his contract was up in July of 2022 without talking to him or sending anything they renewed him for another 60 months so I can't cancel for 4 more years or pay over 2000$ to cancel I tried to explain that he can't afford anymore and how can they just renew it without talking to him? First she said they did which I know for a fact they didn't. Then when I explained that she says it says in the contract it automatically renews so I told her to send me a copy. I think it's sad that they are not understanding and taking advantage of my father and im sure not just him

Well, to be 100% objective, the service provided while in use was Good. they responded promptly when things arose, and contacted us when power was out. However, upon my father passing away 4 months ago i still haven't been able to do anything about cancelling as the service is no longer needed and was told the remaining buyout balance would be required to be paid by the estate. I mean, i know its a contract but these are not previously provided actions or objects. so why wouldn't the contract be nullified upon death as its for future services that don't need to be completed. Seriously I thought they were just getting hate from a few outliers unhappy with the service until this happened

I literally had to hang up on the rep because she wouldn't take NO that I did not want to renew my service. Wished I had read the reviews before signing up for your service!!! In The 2 months we started with Alder I have spent many hours on tech support calls. We had Brinks and no problem, but Alder could do more and charge less , the sales guy said . It was a 60 month contract not 36 months . It is cheaper but I have spent so much time it was not worth the savings . The techs have all been very patient and helpful trying to solve issues with false alarms and inaccurate information on panel and Changing sensors . I am very frustrated with spending so much time and I am Not sure the system will work with all the sensors working while in away mode . I’m very sorry now that I switched!

The sales rep are very friendly I was aware of the 60months contract, unfortunately I was under a contract with Brinks and Alder could not pay off the whole contract decided to cancel with the 3 days with Alder no issue just the long hold times to talk to someone other then that they are true and honest with their fees so its mind blowing how so many people just don't read the contracts. You get one in person and by email.

Was offered a home security system by a rep of Alder about a year ago. While the equipment, instalation sevice, and operation has been fine, the reprecentive was dishonest. No paper copy of contact was provided. We were asked to sign a tablet after represintive told uswhat was there, many key points were untrue. Turns out this is a 60 month contract not 24 as he said ( wife as witness) Charges applyed are way higher than web sight quote. Cancellation clauses were never covered,etc. Because Alder did NOT provide two copies of written contract as stated which is a breach of contract, and because rep. Lied to us, I will be turning this over to my lawyer soon. Regards David Creson

I was originally an AP customer; however Alder bought them out and so this review reflects the experience I have had with Alder. One. Customer service is sales driven only and not there to HELP a customer. My fire alarm/freeze alarm went bad, a week before I was heading out of town for the holidays. I tried calling and no calls were returned, I also tried contacting on their website. I never heard back nor wa there any follow up. So lifetime warranty of equipment and 24/7 service help was a LIE. once my contract was up my phone has been non stop calls about new deals and rates allIhave to do is sign into another contract! I even explained my past experience and this was met with no apologies or even a token credit! Another thing that surprised me is that when Alder took over I was not not notified; only caught the change on my bill! upon calling it was explained and I asked for new placars and stickers for my house, rep said they would send out right away! I am currently trying to cancel my service and I still have not been able to successfully do that simple task! I have called and left emails; now I start to leave stunning reviews online! Needless to say I still have AP placards and stickers on my house. morale of story do NOT do business with this company

My house was broken into this weekend. I missed the called from the rep but immediately called back because I was out of town. I took a long time to get a rep on the phone about 5 minutes or so. After reaching someone she told me they had to call everyone on my contact list and send an email before dispatching the police. Not sure why police was not notified after I didn’t answer. I thank God I wasn’t home but if I was it could have been bad with the time delay of Alder. The robbers got away with a 60 inch tv and a laptop. And they completely destroyed the alarm panel. I called to get a replacement was told it will be a two day shipping, called back to verify after two days now they say it’s a four day shipping after it gets approved of which it hasn’t been approved. I asked to speak to the person who approves and was told that an email will be sent to them. So I didn’t get to speak with higher authority. I feel very uncomfortable being in my home with no security at all. Looking to go elsewhere if not resolved.

Got a my mother's system installed about 2 weeks ago. Skyler was awesome. We got great customer service. If you all had a scale 1 to 10 and 10 being the highest. I would have given him a 10.
