ADT came to my house for installation the day after I called them to sign. Install plus testing time was about 3 hours and they did a great job cleanly installing the motion detectors. I control everything from my phone and haven't had any problems with the system.

The monitoring center responded very quickly during a test call and again when the alarm went off because of low battery. Also, the fact that my folks are able to use it without being confused by the technology is fantastic.

I have had ADT for over 10 years. Have never had an issue. Customer service has always been helpful. Upgraded to ADT pulse a little over a year ago and love it. You can check on the house while you are away from home. For me, the peace of mind the ADT security system offers is priceless.

We used ADT for 10+ years. I had no complaints about the monitoring. However, in my opinion, the $99 upfront cost is misleading. It includes very little and by the time you have what you actually need, the cost is hundreds. As our system aged, it began to have random failures, including going off for no apparent reason in the middle of the night. I finally quit setting it when my husband was out of town. The idea of it shrieking "Intruder Alert" at 2:00 am was more frightening than the potential for an actual intruder. When we looked into replacing it with newer equipment, the cost was well over $1500.00 with no consideration for our years as a customer.

Overall, ADT is a great, trusted security company. My biggest concerns are because of the ADT Pulse app. It takes forever to load, if it loads at all. There have been times I have been forced to set off the alarm just to get into my house because the app isn't working. Just yesterday, I left my house unsecured because I kept getting errors on the app. As far as disarming/arming with a pin number, I have repeatedly called ADT to reset the pin number and each time they tell me that they are unable to. If it wasn't for the app and inability to reset my pin, I would give ADT 5 stars.

When my husband lost his job..ADT cut our bill right down after we told them the trouble we were having..we really did not want to cancel because if a new job took him away from home I would be home alone ..the people who work for the company have always been helpful..and in 14 years we have never had a problem with the service or equipment..

Customer service is super responsive and the techs really know their stuff. I had a couple of hiccups with my system right after it was installed, and the techs came right out, diagnosed the problems -- one of which was rare, funky, and required data analysis -- and got things fixed quickly.

ADT sent me a promo for old customers that left. They made some discounts and an installer installed $2700 worth of equipment. I negotiated some discounts and was promised an additional $300 gift card in 20 days. 10 weeks later no $300 as promised. I put in a dispute on their equipment charges of $300. Defenders the rep for ADT starts calling me and harassing me for $300. I told them at least 10 times that you owe me $300 . Now the cards have arrived , my credit card company has released the $300. they still call and say I have not paid over the phone. I am not paying on the phone because my credit card company is sending the $. Expediously the rep from Defenders says ok so you are not paying and this will to on your credit rating and we will turn over to a collection agency. GEEZ 2. Also my monthly bill is wrong- not per the contract + USAA provided a $5 / month discount. When I call ADT they refer me back to Defenders . Defenders acts like they do not get the wrong they are doing me.

I've been with ADT since 2010 and the only problem I've experience with them is the price to upgrade. They're prices are much higher than other security companies. And each time there is an upgrade you will be required to upgrade your contract. Other than that I have not had any problems with their service.

I liked the fact that every door and window on the first floor and basement of our large, country house was secured by an alarm. We also had fire alarms, which assured us that if any of our 5 wood fireplaces caught on fire, we and the fire department would be notified immediately. Installation was quick and efficient. The explanation for using the system was clear. If we needed any help with the system, Customer Service was quick to answer questions on the phone or to send a representative to the house.

Great affordable company. When I first moved into my house; I was looking for trustworthy companies to secure and monitor my phone. I found this company and have absolutely loved it. The process to enroll was extremely simple. First I was asked a series of question to determine the best bundle for me as well as the best options due to my location and budget. From there they gathered a bundle for me to use. I had the cameras as well as the door sensors so I would receive notifications whenever my door was open. The notifications also comes to my phone.

Pretty good company. I contacted them after seeing all of the their commercials on television. A sales rep came to the home and explained everything to me and it seemed like a good deal and peace of mind and safety for the family. I gave it a try and had success with ADT, a few false alarms and the kinks were worked out. One police responding and one fire truck but all was ok. There response time is great and customer support very helpful. sold the house and moved on I recommend them +

I have had ADT for about 6 months now. I have never had a security system before until now. The installation didn’t take too long and the app seems to work well for the most part. I don’t particularly like the door bell camera as the app doesn’t always work and show me who is at the door or alert me immediately when the door bell is pushed. My dogs do a better job at notifying me that someone is there then the actual doorbell. The cameras are decent although when it rains at night or a spider makes a web near the camera the reflected light from these set off the alerts and at 1am this can be annoying. The only problem I had once with the system is one of the cameras went offline and I couldn’t reset from the app. Apparently the reset button is on the camera itself and at my house that would require me to have a 10 or 12ft ladder to get up there. I called customer service and was told I would have to pay to have someone come out to “reset it”. Luckily I had a ladder tall enough that I could unplug the camera from the outlet in the top of my garage, but had to do this several times before it finally reset. Hopefully I don’t have to experience true issue to know how well it works, but feel a little safer having it.

We have window sensors, door sensors, and motion detectors as well. We have 24/7 security monitoring which gives me a secure feeling when I go to sleep at night. For a dollar a day you can't beat that!

ADT Home Security is a great security option. I have used the motion sensor and door alarms and they work very well. The battery lasts a long time and you only have to replace once every 3-4 years. The prices are average for security and the installation is fairly quick.

After 3 years of ADT, I am shopping around for a new home security system. 3 years ago we had ADT installed in spite of the ridiculous sales tactics ($7,700 quote for a 2,400 sq ft house - that came down to $1,400 after a more careful examination of the needs - no we don't need a breaking glass sensor on the 12 sq inch attic window) Unfortunately at the time, the competition was even more expensive and less responsive. Last month (surprisingly on the 36th and last month of the contract), the control panel display started flickering and we called to have it repaired. We would have had to pay $99 to send a technician to see it, instead we had a sales person visit and offer a $630 quote for the new display and 2 chips to enable communication with our "old" ADT system and our other smart home (ring, ecobee, nest) units, After discussion it came down by $175. I still found the $450 price tag very high for a small touch screen display. So reviewed the competition and saw I could have a brand new system with 15 pieces of equipment + the control panel for $300 !! On top of that monitoring from other companies was between $20 and $35 when ADT costs $60!! The math is simple - Don't go with ADT or quit!!

Service (Tech) on site personnel are savy and professional CON: 1. Must pay for service calls 2. Monthly service charges continue to escalate. I started at $39/month and charges are now $52/month. Service did not work as intended since they use AT&T as their carrier and AT&T did not work. They spent 8 hours at my house only to tell me that. They had to come back to try with an additional antenna and that was to no avail. I had the service removed but canceling was a hassle and I initially still did not get my money back. A lot of upselling. Maybe they're a good company with an established dominance in the industry, so just be sure to confirm that AT&T will work well in your house and that you're fully aware of all your upfront costs and monthly bills.

The quality of service has detorated greatly. I think they are using many inexperienced contractors that do shabby jobs. They are dishonest and tricky. ADT's comercials are all lies. They promised us on price for a set of products then when they arrive the cost is much more. There customer service agents and also very rude and dishonest. The buttons they place on my windows keep falling off and beeping. We are locked in a long contract, We cannot wait to stop using this worst company. The following day after instalation we tried to cancel but were told we had to pay $800.00. I would never recommend anyone to use ADT at all. They are very dishonest and should be charged for false advertising.

The current PROMO $100 Gift Card, Be sure your customers understands all of the hoops they will need to jump through to acquire the gift card, come up with a more impactful PROMO, this one is a joke.

I have been a customer of ADT for over 15yrs now. I upgrade my system 3 yrs ago to the adt pulse system. I was shocked to learn that there is a VERY BIG FLAW in the system. The cameras are set to record only 30 seconds of action. Then they need 3-5 mins to reset before they can record again. When I called adt their answer to me was to upgrade again to a wired system. The cost would be $300 to show up (install) and $450 per camera. Well once my contract is up I'll find another company to monitor my house.

I was with Brinks Securtiy since 1988 and then in the 2000’s ADT bought out Brinks. Service went down noticeably and my monitoring fee kept creeping up. I’ve bought two homes and moved two times since being with ADT. During the first move, their technician came and did his installation but I noticed that he was constantly on the phone talking to someone and it wasn’t ADT; he was talking to a friend about aftermarket wheels for automobiles. He talked with this person the whole entire time during most of the installation. He finally finished and left. Consequently, he forgot to place a yard sign in my yard and he didn’t apply some of the window sensors correctly and a few were loose. Next, I called ADT to complain to a manager but I noticed the manager sounded lackadaisal after hearing about how he was distracted talking in his cell phone during installation. The manager said she’ll look into the issue; They never called back. ADT scheduled another technician to come back to correctly fix the problem at my home. Next thing I know, they charged me for the visit after getting my first statement. It took several phone calls explaining that their employee didn’t install my alarm correctly the first time and that was why another ADT tech came the second time. They enventually waived one hundred and something fee. My second home I purchased in 2014, again ADT installed the alarm. I knew I should’ve change companies but thought maybe 1st encounter was just bad luck. The next technician incorrectly matched the zones with the panel box and couldn’t figure out the problem. He eventually left and ADT scheduled another tech which came to my home. He seemed to be a more experienced tech. He corrected the problem which took over two hours. I’m now cancelling ADT since I’m now not under contract because they steady keep going up on my monitoring fee. I more thing I noticed with ADT, whenever I call with a question about my system they don’t ask for a pass word. When I had Brinks, they would always ask for a pass word before answering any questions.

Purchased a home that had ADT system already installed. Called to activate. Salesman came out and sold us 1500.00 of equipment. Have had 9 fault alarms in 11 months. Customer service has been helpful but now the want to reinstall original system . All old equipment was tossed. Now I am going to have to fight to get my 1500.00 back. Think carefully and do not let their non ADT salespeople walk through your door.

I havent had adt very long, Only about 2.5 months. Ive had two false alarms go off while i was at home. They sent a technician out to figure out what the problem may be. Luckily they didnt charge me to see what the problem was since i didnt have it long at all, but normally they charge you to see my their product is malfunctioning?? When Mark, my tech was here. He was extremely helpful and looked out for my best interest. He had to call his boss, Brent to reschedule to come back since i was having new doors install the following week. I always ask to be put on speaker so i fully understand what what im paying for and not get taken advantage of. I know that somewhat puts the tech on the spot but makes me feel secure as a customer. His boss is the reason i rated this company a two star. He tried to charge me for taking down my sensors and wanted to re charge me again for putting them back up even though i havent even had this service 3 months and there already acting up. Brents customer service is lacking and didnt make me comfortable as a customer. If it wasnt for Mark i would have switched companies right then and there. I could have easily taken them down and put them back up but knowing that my technician was looking out for my best interest was amazing and is the only reason why i am still currently a customer. Brent needs to take a lesson from Mark on customer care. Im not pleased with the corporate office with adt.

Just had it installed today. The $100 visa giftcard they offer is a mail in and u get it in 6-8 weeks. The “free” camera has a $300 activation fee. I felt like i was at used car dealership with their hidden fees and upgrade selling tactics

We called as a result of the 29.77 offer. Installers were very gracious. Did work hard to sell us more equipment. We declined. Their supervisor offered a an alternative that we accepted. Ended costing us 20 dollars more a month, it We are pleased with what we received. They did assure us we would still received the Visa offer.

We had ADT for almost 4 years. Most of the time it seemed to work well. If we accidentally tripped the alarm we would get a notification on our phones. This all went to crap when we put in a Micro Cell Tower so we could use our cell phones in our house (we live in the middle of nowhere). From that point on we continued to have issues with loss of service. Within 6 months I had at least 25 calls to tech support and a dozen visits by technicians. Literally... each time someone came to my house to do something they assured me my problems had been fixed. I had absolutely no issues with any technicians whether at the house or on the phone. They were all understanding and very polite. But at some point I rather expected this to be fixed. The last straw came when I was first going to cancel the service and a sales associate said he would credit my account for 3 months for my troubles and the next technician to come to my house will fix the problem for sure. Two technicians later our cell phones still wouldn’t sync with the system when we were offsite but, what the heck I thought, I’ll ride out a couple months and see what else happens. Then they billed me the very next month for even more than my normal bill! I honestly don’t mind paying for a quality service when it works but ADT’s problem seems to be, even with all of the technology, no one seems to communicate to each other what is best to be done or what should or shouldn’t work. I was actually told by a tech on the phone that he thought my problem was the microcell but no one else ever thought so. Anyway, we have the castle law in WV, so I have that going for me!
