Hardware wise, I like the Arlo system I have. With regard to software however I consider it an epic failure. The latest software update makes enabling/disabling  my security cameras and security lights a complete  nightmare of inconvenience. The new modes(Arm away, Arlo Home, and standby) do not work at all when I attempt to set them up. This goes for IOS, as well as the Android operating systems. Also, The fact that  Arlo attempts to force users to purchase a monthly plan before they can view their devices when logging into their account on-line is unacceptable. At this point Arlo as a company has exceeded my patience/tolerance level. My current Arlo system(5 cameras and 3 security lights) has been uninstalled and is now relegated to garage sale fodder. I have officially divorced myself from Arlo and will never again consider Arlo for my future home security needs.

We purchased the Arlo system from Costco and added another camera we purchased from Netgear. We have them installed outside. The set-up is fairly simple but troubleshooting is a challenge. Virtually impossible to get a human for help. The cameras are inconsistent. This past week I got more recordings of moths and garbage trucks than of people walking into and out of my home. The cameras are aimed correctly and the batteries are fresh, but they simply do not record everything. I have one camera aimed at our driveway since we've had our cars broken into. Yesterday I was unloading groceries, must have made 5 or 6 trips to the car, and the camera did not record me at all. Will be returning these and looking for a new system.

I received system in Dec, It would not connect door bell to camera. I have been on phone for hours on end and I mean hours to no avail. system is useless to me and I can not get and response from Arlo regarding refund or repair I'm out 300 buckks DO NOT USE OR BUY ATLO

My first outdoor cameras were Arlo. From the beginning, the batteries ran low so often and they got expensive replacing them. The cameras would catch a fly buzzing by, but literally missed someone throwing eggs at my house and getting into my garage. I was furious that they caught NONE of that footage. After that I stopped using them.
