I wish I could give less than one star. I bought 2 systems a couple of years ago. They changed the software this August 2019 and now I can't access any of my cameras. I've phoned "tech services", been put on hold for hours. The person couldn't resolve the problem and referred me to another 'higher level'. Couldn't fix the software problem there either. Then a month and a half later there is supposed to be a firmware update, which doesn't work. I spent a lot of money and got garbage. This security camera company is the worst company I've ever dealt with in my 60 odd years.

I have had 2 systems. The first only had 2 cameras and 1 crapped out after 1 1/2 yrs. I bought a 4 camera system and it did work great until Aug when they changed something on the app. It is now useless and the say the need access to my computer to fix. I don’t have a computer only an iPad so this is useless now. One of the camera is crapping out again (it drops the signal constantly) so I’ll go else where now. Don’t waste your money cause you’ll be going elsewhere too.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH ANY OF THE JUNK THIS COMPANY SELLS! Zero Stars is still too good for this horrific company. I don't understand why they are even in business. Spent over $900 dollars buying a system for my house, 8 month later they decide to make everything non functional on their end. No one answers the phone at this company, tech support is in some 3rd world country and completely clueless and useless. Class Action Lawsuit Needed!!!

I bought a four camera system from Lorax at Best Buy for $600 the system as a Wi-Fi system installed it myself and a couple of months later two cameras became defective It was very hard time getting a replacement they were trying to do everything that they can not to send me a replacement then a year later another camera broke and they did not wanna replace it because it’s out of warranty now then having constantly problems with the camera getting damaged from the weather and finally this year they put in the nail in the coffin they upgraded To a new app which was totally dysfunctional

As an owner of a Lorex wireless system - I was happy with my purchase and price range prior to the forced firmware update. Since the update has “Bricked “ my DVR and the app upgrade just doesn’t work. Customer service has been poor and return communication has been non existent for the past week. Save your money or buy a different brand. The lack of customer service and awareness from Lorex is a big red flag as to not to spend any more money with this company.

Having the same customer service problems as others. Lorex changed their servers and disabled everyone who had cameras already. I've spent more than $600 on cameras in the last two years only to find my remote security system disabled. The website offers possible replacement - but the website fails, so I have to call customer service. I've been on hold for 30 minutes now, with no sign of help. I liked the cameras (good resolution and networking) but it's all no good if they turn off access to the cameras.

I have had this system since January 2018 no problems. Now 3weeks ago they system goes blank white screen with Lorex across the screen I have emailed no response I have called and was told a new one would be here in 7 to 10 days no system no email. I called today the system is down couldn’t look up my ticket number so had to give all information again now he said 7 to 14 days!! I’m beyond frustrated with this company!!

Buyer beware. I invested in multiple wireless camera systems only to be told that the equipment will no longer be supported. You would think they would make it easy to process a replacement before the new system launched? No, they turned off al FXC cameras and I have waited weeks for a return. thus far. I have called multiple times and waited for over a hour to speak with representatives and supervisor who have been unable to assist. Lorex is playing with the safety, security, and money of so many in this same situation.

If i could give 0 stars i would. The good thing is that i will return my system to costco. Because lorex clearly does not care about us consumers it will reflect on their business with the consumers giving poor reviews and sellers that are loaded with returns. Costco will drop them as a supplier soon enough. Lorex has lost me for good because they are guilty of false information.

DO NOT BUY LOREX! I own 2 systems; they both crashed over a week ago when Lorex did a mandatory upgrade to the Lorex Cloud APP. When I called the day they crashed, they told me to call back in a week. I called back today, spent 8 frustrating hours on the phone with them & only one of my systems works. The system at my remote property is still down. I asked them if they were going to be liable if my place has been robbed. Somebody please sue them!!!!

I have spent 46 mins with Akash in technical support trying to facilitate the firmware upgrade -then promised to be transferred to the next level to to resolve my problem 25 mins later still on hold. This is the worst customer service I have experienced, so you probably will not see this review - upgrades should be tested and re-tested before they are foisted on the customer - would not recommend company or product to anyone.

Bought this system (8 cameras) a few months ago. The selling point for me was the recap option!!!! Now these idiots have cancelled the recap/ cloud storage option!!! $1600 dollars for system and $1000 for installation and now I can not recap on the cameras!!!!!!!!! It is like looking for a needle in a haystack to locate an event. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT TO GAIN SALES!!! STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT BUY THIS OVERPRICED SYSTEM THAT ONLY DOES THE SAME THING AS THE CHEAPER $300 DOLLAR SYSTEMS!!!

Good Cameras, worst customer service of any company I have ever experienced. Recent firmware update made it impossible to view my cameras on the tv monitor. Called customer service two times and was on the phone 40 to 45 minutes each time. They could not resolve the issue and told me to try again on 8-22-19. That's 6 days with no camera service, and no way to view the cameras. This is a security system ?? Time to wake up FLIR and fix the problem.

bought 2 complete home systems for primary & vacation property. easy install/hookup. DO NOT purchase remote cameras they can not get it right. have spent 4hrs 20 mins over 2 weeks ON HOLD waiting for technical support to get no help then told I could not return the product that does not work but they would sell me other cameras. before you buy call their telephone number and ask for tech support or customer service. you will grow old on hold, but ask for sales and its a very short wait. BUYER BEWARE

I have two systems. My current system is having problems and I have spent over one hour on hold to get someone to help me. I have done this two days in a row. I have spent two hours waiting on hold. I have spoken to four people at customer service and then they transfer me. They did an update which has caused a major problem. I am not happy with Lorax.

This is one of the least quality companies I have dealt with in years. Its customer support is essentially non-existent in my experience. Its products, particularly its wifi outdoor security cameras are terrible in my opinion. I would never purchase anything from this company again. I currently own 7 Lorex security cameras and regret purchasing them.

Installed the 4 cameras, turned them on and everything worked great. Connected my phone and it worked. Tried to get the system to show up on my computer and no luck. I am happy with the system, not very happy with tech support. Tried the chat help, nobody ever answered. Sent an email, never got a response. Makes me wonder if they went out of business.

Ordered online. Cancelled within 2 hours due to ordering incorrect system. They cancelled fast and now still waiting for return funds. Continue to avoid me. They keep hanging up when customer support called. No email answers to inquiries about return funds. Will have to place inquiry through PayPal for return of funds. Were going to re-order another system but have changed mind due to customer service. Can't rate system if no product ever received.

I have Lorex cameras in my store; I have been calling tech support for 3 days straight and still can’t get through customer service; the second day I called I was on hold for 1hr( dosed off while on hold) til I hung up because I could not hold no more and the third day I was on hold for 1hr and 36 min and still no customer service came on the line and I finally hung up. With all that as soon as I call and I press one for the sales department they answer within less than 2 minutes and sometimes within a few seconds.

Calling technical support for help setting Up is impossible I have called 3 times and been on hold for over a hour each time. When I called originally about the system I was mis informed on needing outlets installed for cameras so I hired a electrician to do this come to find out I didn’t need that. Now that the camera installed the DBR doesn’t work at all. I can’t seem to get any help from this company

I initially bought Lorex cameras with monitor in 2015. The pic quality is really good. The problem is the monitor. The monitor buttons would not respond. This happened less than a year of me having the system. Lorex sent me a refurbished monitor.. that monitor started having the same issue. I couldn't deal with it anymore so I took the cameras down this year.

Its difficult to convey my disappointment with the Lorex system. It's almost as though they want it to be impossible to use. Most good software is designed for ease of use and understanding, not the case with Lorex. I would give them 0 stars if that were an option. I notice that most reviews are similar to mine. We should hire a lawyer and sue them for wasting our time. I gave up on trying to make the system work after some attempts to work with customer support.

Product is fine, except you will have to purchase a brand new one every few years as they don't support prior versions. Customer service is absolutely awful. Took 8 phone calls and being on hold a total of 2 hours and 18 minutes just to find out that nothing is supported after 2 years and that they would be happy to sell me a new system. Look elsewhere!

The first DVR lasted about 18 months before it quit working. The new one has been used about 2 months and it keeps losing connectivity through the online Flir app. If I can't see my cameras on my phone or computer it's worthless. hen I get home I bet the system crapped out again. Their "customer service" is a bad joke. Save frustration and money. Buy a better quality system. I'll never buy another Lorex product again.

I have an LHA4000 Series system installed and will admit that the pictures from the cameras are good. The big problem is that if you want to monitor the system remotely, their remote client DOESN'T WORK on Macs using the Mojave operating system. Several calls to Lorex would indicate that they don't really care. Without the remote access, the cameras are useless. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS until you are sure this function works with your Mac/PC.

Wish I could give a negative review. purchased ( DEAL11W)on black Friday ( something called Site Crasher) what a joke. received a conformation/Order email- Lorex started to process my credit card for payment . Then I received an email saying Canceled insufficient inventory. Then received another email saying being sent to shipping department. I think it's a SCAM or a Trick to get people to their website and Lorex never intended to fulfill orders. Buyer Beware. SHAME ON YOU LOREX. Unhappy ex-customer

Same experience with their customer service. Embarrassing. I feel like I am trapped in the Groundhog Day movie. It’s been over 3 weeks now and their website platform is still completely screwed up. Can’t reset password. Can’t log in. Can’t return cameras as unable to see the order because it won’t let me in. I am beyond pissed as this is a total joke. I seldom write reviews and when I do it’s because the review is great. This time though I feel obligated to warn everyone that Lorex Is a total mess and stay away. I am fuming writing this

Customer service was useless. If I could give negative stars that is what they deserve. They were not any help with my situation and actually ended up being locked out of my system because of them. I figured out how to do a factory reset on the system to get it operational again. Instead of wasting tons of time on emails and phone calls all they had to do is have me factory reset the system. They never suggested that. Customer service is useless.

The phone app for our Lorex home cameras has not been working for sometime, and, unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had to contact the company for this exact issue. I have tried repeatedly to contact Lorex to have the issue resolved and have had no luck reaching anyone. I have waited on hold for 20, 30 and 20 minutes respectively to no avail. This is extremely frustrating! Customer service could use an overhaul!

Very difficult to install from a software/programming stand point. Had to hire an IT tech to configure it correctly. Customer service was non-existent. Once the ownership changes hands, the problems continued with operation. Could not obtain the correct firmware so system it once again out of service. Do not waste your money with this product.

Few years ago I purchased 2 cameras for $280. They had told me it would work overseas. I keep calling CS and followed everything they said I was supposed to do to make them work but they never did and the worst of all, they never ever returned my money back. Also, their supervisor was the very rude, all he wanted to do was keep money which they did. He had 0 CS skills. Horrible company that can’t backed up their product with the customer satisfaction says it all... I still have the 2 cameras in their boxes... DO NOT BUY LOREX

The Lorex unit worked fine, the app was installed on my ipad fine, BUT when internet service was temporarily suspended for vacation, the app on ipad said ' access denied' when everything else came back up fine. Many calls to Loxex Technical support & Customer support resulted in no one answering. Finally got e-mail saying they would contact me, but they didn't. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXEPERIENCED. Nothing in the manual explains 'access denied' - very disappointed in this company.

NO Customer Service whatsoever at this company. I bought 64 cameras from them for my company and I had a defective camera. Wanted to simply replace it under warrantly. I think I got transferred to almost everyone in the company to finally be told after almost 2 weeks of follow-ups that I would need to send in the old camera first before they sent the new one. I sent in the old one and now they tell me that the camera is on back order and it will take anywhere from a month to who knows when to get my camera. Stay away from this company!!!!

Worst customer service ever. Could not solve my problem after numerous lengthy phone calls, so shipped out a replacement system. System that arrived was USED, and had the same problem as my original system. They promise to call back in a certain window, but never do. They promise to escalate to the next level of support, but don't. I'll never by Lorex again and couldn't recommend this to anyone. Going back to Costco (where I bought it) to see if they can offer any help.

Every time I tried to call customer service, I am on hold anywhere between a hour to two hours. Totally ridiculous. Either they hope you will hang up so they don't have to deal with you or they have only 1 person working in customer service. I had a part that went paid on my system and it has been over a month since it was ordered. I still have not received my replacement part yet. I will never again purchase a Lorex product. The product itself is OK as long as it is working. However, their customer service is horrible.

Product is ok, but Lorex service is so bad that I encourage you to consider another supplier. I have tried for 4 days to have Lorex replace the wrong cable that Lorex shipped with this unit order. I used their Ticket System and tried to reach Lorex by phone without success. Now I will try to send everything back. Let's see how difficult Lorex makes that...

This equipment is pretty simple to set up and operate. The price for what you get if fair. There is much better equipment available that have better quality cameras and DVR's for similar costs. I would look for other manufacturers to compare cost and quality before buying this brand again

Dont waste your time with this camera system Although the dvr is not bad the lorex 4K cameras are garbage, I just had 2 of the 4K cameras stop working and unfortunately the warranty just ran out on them Think about another camera system, very unreliable

Placed an online order on their own website a week goes by and they charged my credit card yet no one at customer service or their web site can tell me if in stock, when it will be shipped. Could not speak to a manager to escalate the issue. Only given another email to make a request!
